  1. If that is true that CC lost 2 starters on offense, it should be interesting.Go Bobcats!
  2. I believe it comes down to the RBS defense. JC isn't as good at the run as MHS, but they have potential to burn you on the pass. Monterey stopped JC's passing game in the second half and ran the ball. RBS needs long running drives and beware of the pass.
  3. Don't remember his name, but I think he came from the Citadel.
  4. The 1972 Grantland Rice Bowl team was there, as was the 1952 Tangerine Bowl team. Glad I was there as I got to chat with one of my old High School coaches from 1978. Had not seen him in over 30 years.
  5. Monterey played one of their best games against JC. Red Boiling is much improved. I hear RBS had an injury to their best RB just before they played Monterey. That was a fun game to watch. If RBS can defend the pass and hold the ball longer, they have a chance against JC.
  6. I would like to see Pickett get a win, but don't expect it.
  7. I like the confidence. So you are saying you could upset which team in your top 4? I see you already plan on beating Monterey.
  8. Monterey is better than last year.
  9. Eagleville was well prepared, played hard, and handed us a whooping. To Miller, Boomer, Josh, John, Matt, Parker,Tyler: Thanks for all the hard work you put in and keep your heads up. Much improved from last years 2-8 season. Encourage the underclassmen to step it up another notch. The Eagleville fans were great sports. Good luck with South Pitt. Thanks for the support from the other posters from Region 4. Sorry to let you down like that. Go Tigers!!!! See ya next year.
  10. You should see a good crowd from Monterey. Good luck to the Wildcats.
  11. Heres the link. I was asking a question. Is it gonna be districts, regions, or a mix like Region 4 is now. Here's the link. Its on the Coach t home page. http://www.tennessean.com/article/20091 ... EPSFACTORY He actually said regions. Sorry for any confusion I might have caused.
  12. Just read in the Tennessean that Childress is considering going back to the old playoff system where they take the top 4 teams in each district. In region 4, does that mean the top 4 1a teams and the top 4 2a teams? I smell another realignment.
  13. Silverpie, you make it sound so simple, how did the TSSAA get it so wrong on their playoff scenario site? They said if FCS beat Monterey, Clay was automatic qualifier and Monterey would only be a wildcard. I hate to keep beating a dead horse, but even the TSSAA got confused and caused mass confusion in the process.
  14. Man, I thought the BCS was screwed up and college needed a playoff system. We have a playoff season that's as screwed up as the BCS.
