I assume you are watching Mckenzie play Friday night. If they play at home every Friday night, that is the ultimate home field advantage. I'd be willing to bet you get awful lonely when they play an away game. Just kidding!! Anyway, good tradition at Mckenzie.

I have only attended 15-20 stadiums. Who do you feel has the nicest facilities, best manicured playing surface, biggest home field advantage, best accomidations for visiting teams, etc????

You won't see to many 2A teams trying to schedule 5A teams. 500 kids to choose from versus 1500 kids to choose from. Not sure if they have ever met on the football field though. Not in the last 25 years.

I didn't know that. If true, that is ridiculous. Poor football players, the game should have been cancelled as well. Absolutely, MTP won the halftime (22 1/2 hours worth).

Those stats must not have included the 12 times he was tackled behind the line. They were probabley listed as sacks since he is the QB. I didn't see other players touch the ball that much. If Dailey is as great as ya'll make him out to be, then a 13 point lead with 4 to 5 minutes to go isn't that much. It wasn't like LC ran reverses or flea flickers or any trick plays. It was straight up the middle, eating the clock, and MTP couldn't stop it. Bobby Sharp was not running the score up, he was coaching smart football. Remember, he is one of the most successful coaches in the history of high school football in the state of Tennessee. He didn't do this by accident. That definitely wasn't an on-side kick at the end of the game. Did you see our punting avg. (13 yards per punt). The same kid was the kick off man. The kick off looked like my golf game. Almost a swing and miss. And you must have been picking up your seat cushion and not watching the game if you didn't see the back up QB take a helmet in the chest. Hats off to the coach. Do you honestly think the coach would have pulled him from the game if all he did was to knock an offensive lineman into the QB? I doubt it.

Good enough. I hope he has a terrific season. He knows he is good because the game plan every Friday night is to stop him. If you don't stop him, he will single handedly beat you. You could see that much when he got in the open field 3 or 4 times. I don't think anyone in high school can tackle him in open space at full speed. Good Luck

I have admitted in just about all my posts that the kid is super talented. I don't care if he plays 5 quarters a game. I know if he gets hurt then it's probably over for MTP. All of your eggs are in one basket. Marco left, Marco right, and (of course) Marco up the middle. I wouldn't play for this team because it looks to me like it's the coach's goal to showcase one individual. Maybe he brings Mr. Football back to MTP this year, great. I've already told you the formula for stopping this offense. It worked pretty good last week. By the way, the second string was in for the last series to take a knee. The quarterback kneeled and took a cheap shot after the whistle. Good thing I'm not a coach, I would have called timeout and chunked the ball to the endzone.

Marco Dailey 2006 ( 236 carries, 2812 yards, 42 TD's) I'd be willing to bet that all these numbers weren't accumulated in the first quarter and a half of the games. Give me a break, that's 200 yards and 3 TD's a game. Like I said, no need to cancel the season for MTP, there are plenty of inferior opponents left on the schedule. The big numbers will come, just not against a good football team and good coaching staff. The game plan is simple, let him throw 8 or 10 times and complete 2 or 3. The rest of the time just send 10 men at #12.

MTP 68 Zion 21, MTP 55 Cornersville 21, MTP 53 Columbia Academy 25, MTP 47 Moore Co. 15, MTP 34 Perry Co. 9, MTP 41 Huntland 20. I'll bet that all of these teams thought Coach Smith called the dogs off, Huh. Don't worry, Marco will get his numbers, because you will play these inferior teams again this year. Have a little tackling practice this week and maybe Fairview won't walk in the endzone untouched with a minute and a half to play.
