Congratulations GQ!!!! Most impressive of all is the fact that you won 147 and loss 10 games while showing nothing but class. You have never been an embarassment to your players, coaches, fans or family. Class Act!!! No dog in this fight, I am a Clinton fan. Until this year,Clinton has been down for the past six years or so. Over this time, Maryville could have beaten Clinton 100-0 if they had wanted to. Unlike some other teams (Oak Ridge/Central), Maryville never one time ran the score up on Clinton. To my knowledge, Coach GQ never really ran the score up on any team. He gets a good lead and plays the younger kids to get them valuable expierance for later on. That my friends, is how dynasty's are built. Congrats to Coach GQ and good luck in winning ANOTHER state title.

The outcome depends on whether or not Hazelhurst plays and is healthy. The D and O is totally different when he is out.

That was my point Mav, most of Clinton's were for retaliation also. It is kind of a coindence that AC/Clintons issues were against the same team.

Hey Mav, just to let you know, there was ALOT of personal fouls called during the Clinton/Karns game. After talking to some of the Clinton folks, they said they were simply defending themselves. I find it interesting that you all had the same problems against the same team.

Hallsfan, there's no doubt he's a great RB. The funny thing is that he is mostly being recruited as a LB.

Clinton has a reciever/KR/PR starting named Cameion Patrick. He has a couple PR for TD this year and approx 4 TD receptions. 92 Dragon/Ethel, help me out with the stats.

I agree Ethel. I know he wouldn't win Mr. Football on both sides of the ball. My question is about the all-state team, is it possible to make tha all-state team on both sides? Great assessment of the Dragons btw

Is it possible that a player could make all-state on both offense and defense? Has it ever happened before? I would have to think that Hazelhurst is a threat for both, Ethel, Dragon 92, what do you think? I think Stone has a legit shot at the QB position.

WaCoJaCo.....go back to the DB thread and worry about winning your third game of the year. I'm not not sure how you could make that prediciton. Clinton has already came to J Fred and ran all over DB. If DB could have tackled Hazelhurst at all, you might have got a win..... Im 100% sure that will never happen again. Yea, you are right. Hazelhurst is a senior, probably a good thing for DB next year when you come to Clinton. Good luck getting to .500

The series has indeed been one sided over the years. I am one of the biggest Clinton fans around. With that being said, if Clinton fans thinks that we are going to roll into the Ship and win by 3 TD's, they are setting themselves up for disapointment. OR is a very good team that has improved each week through out the season. You better believe that they will be up for this game and would like nothing more than to be the team that hangs the first loss on the season for the Dragons. Not bad mouthing anyone that we have played thus far, but we have not beaten a .500 team, let alone a winning team. I do believe that Clinton will win this game but it is going to be tough and very tough. Clinton fans, keep it classy.

Sometime in the 40's was the last time beat OR in consective years. It would be nice, but OR will be ready to play. Clinton must limit the mistakes to win this game. 100 yds a game in pentalties a game will get you beat sooner or later. If they don't limit those against OR, it will be on the sooner side of a loss.

Agreed. Old news. Coach Shattuck did try to apologize for the play. Track record will show that Shattuck is not that type of coach. If he wanted to do that to anyone, it would have been Central a couple of weeks ago, but he took a knee at the one. I think it was a very competive game and emotions run high. From everything I've read and heard, Coach Lowe is a good guy. He was probably just upset at the loss. Hopefully these two coaches squared it away amongst their selves and it is over. The Clinton-Powell has game has been very good over the years and Powell is defintently on the up with all of their young, talented skill players.
