So how do yall see the York/Marion game playing out?? Some of these guys that have seen both teams play?

Wont be popping any big heads over here........Army 2008 is a little messed up in the head. Marion is a solid ball club just like Boyd is. Don't know why you are thinking yall are way better than us, because you hung in better with SP?? I can't wait for the rematch either if we both make it that far.......should be a good one!! Wow, lets not start making excuses about injuries already. Injuries are part of the game and happen to every team, and you play with what you have, simple as that. Go ahead and tell us who all is injured for the dragons. What starters? As far as RLH, no a loss here doesn't mean that hanging around against boyd and beating tyner be 10 were flukes. Just because your beloved pirates couldn't blow them out don't mean that marion beating one and playing one to the final play was a fluke. This York team is very very capable of beating either Tyner or Boyd, that is how good they are.

This game could really go a long way in determining where the warriors stand. The last few weeks we haven't really been challenged, but Friday we will be. The Warriors are playing well and all the credit should go to the kids for working so hard and coach Boeck for turning things in the right direction. This game is one that may be played again in a couple of weeks, and may determine whether there is a rematch with Boyd or Tyner. The Warriors are going to need to play a full game instead of relying on a strong second half after a slow start. That will eventually become a loss, especially in the second or third round. Every week there seems to be a new wrinkle to the offense and it is becoming more and more difficult for the opposing defenses to stop. Should get a good test this week!! Also, Murrrrrr, as the Bledsoe announcer said, and #21 have to be one of top running back duos in the area. I look for a good tough game this week.

Melvin Young is a good looking athlete, but during the marion game, Tony Harris was the workhorse, definitely the better back. Seemed like Young shied away from contact after being hit hard, and went down rather easily. He would be better suited split out wide throwing to him in space, because he is really a burner. Harris, on the other hand is small, but keeps his feet churning and digging. Bledsoe has a couple of good looking athletes also. Number 14 is someone that Marion could use, he is an athlete, for sure. Good luck Bledsoe, but I have to pick cannon here by three touchdowns.

To enter the arguement here, I don't think Marion can be classified as a 'second tier team.' Marion beat tyner 30-20, lost to boyd 21-20 and are right in the thick of the region race. I would say these three teams match up pretty good with one another. Also, didn't your 4th or 5th place team only get beat by the lead horse up there by 1, 14-13?? We will have a better indicator next week when marion travels to york to play the dragons.

Coach Boeck has the boys playing well late in the season. I heard a lot of negatives about Boeck from the pirate faithful, but he is proving to be a good coach capable of making adjustments at halftime. There hasn't been a team this year who is in as good of shape as we are, which doesn't always mean wins, but it gives us a chance in the fourth quarter most of the time. PG may know, but I think we have outscored opponents 81-21 in the last quarter. I agree the game with York should see where the warriors stand for the playoffs. I doubt that the other region is any tougher than region 3-2a. That is why I said 2nd or 3rd round was a possibility, depending on matchups. A rematch with tyner would be at home, while Boyd would be in the swamp and would be tough also, but doable.

Don't know what you are laughing about.......What are your expectations for the bucs?? Looks like they are about as good as MCHS, maybe a little better since you beat us 21-20. Realistically I can see a second or third round playoff run with hopefully a rematch with the bucs. All the playoff games will be tough, as it looks like the other region will be just as tough. Just depends on the matchups like was said before.

I may be mistaken, but didn't marion go up to Westmoreland a couple years ago as a big underdog and come out with a win???

maybe a better matchup will be with York in a couple of weeks. Marion is much better than last year and I am anxious to see what they can do at the Dragon pit. They lost two times to them last year, and I hear York has all their players back also. If Boyd beats Tyner then Marion will finish second assuming they don't lose to Seq. or Bledsoe.

How do you figure that?? Isn't westmoreland leading that region up that way? After Tyner beats boyd, there will be a three way tie for first over here also with marion, tyner and boyd. I know a way that RBS would have a chance of winning.....Schedule whitwell next year. South pitt beat them . 82-0 last week and pulled their starters after the first quarter. Better yet, whitwell played scottsboro christian and beat them 60-0, i think they are from northern alabama.

if he runs a 4.4 then he will definitely get looks from D-1 schools, that is for sure. What number will he be on friday?? I will be sure to look for him.

No, marion had its homecoming two weeks ago, actually. It is interesting how many peple that way are picking cannon to win. Cannon is 2-4 and marion is 4-2. I know that cannon has played a difficult schedule to this point, but it isn't going to get any easier this week. I believe the warriors are better than Seq. county is and they beat you guys. Have a safe trip down though and i am looking forward to a good ballgame with playoff atmosphere, and possibly a rematch in the playoffs.

Everything you say is true. Boyd is having a great season this year and they are showing toughness that they haven't had in a while. That being said, Marion has played them both. SP overwhelmed us with both speed and power, Boyd didn't, plain and simple. 41-14.

What is young's size and speed? Comparing him to the kid from LSU is a awfully big comparison. He probably runs a 4.4 or better.

Like I said, nothing special and I will promise that they wont blow SP's line off of the ball. If you are expecting that then you will be very dissapointed. Boyd will not win!!
