We are split....we have 2 highschools in the county...tried to put'em together a few years ago and all "you know what" broke loose....

Is it lazy to run 8 miles a day 6 days a week???....do you think that's lazy....Is it lazy to win 4 state championships and will probably win at least 2 more by the time you graduate?? Is that lazy....believe it or not everyone doesn't "want" to play football....there are other sports...and if you don't really "want" to play football then you better either not play or you'd better do another sport...i'm sure the track coach would love to have a few of the baseball players but it doesn't work that way..And you're exactly right...practice is alot like work... But so is running a 5k, or taking batting practice or practicing basketball all year long...

Sorry to discagree with ya geo but I didn't see and division 1a athlets on the jackets side last week. They played a solid game and we didn't. (oh...except their kicker....he could kick for the patriots next year....)

Man this taste bad but i'll eat my crow..... Did station camp win the first boys race? I was actually pulling for ya against BA. There times were really good!! hats off to ya for a good race... Can't wait till Saturday....we know our course... plus all of our runners will be wearing compases...lol

Hey 1buck2...have you hired that special "referee" from a few years back to be there again on Friday night??? And be at the "goal line" when we need him!!! We really may need him this year!!! Anyway, all bull aside I hope the Eagles have a good game...and I hope it's their only loss of the season...

Check ya facts man....my son don't run track... Anyway. 25 times a game may be a little much but do you not agree that 25 needs to touch the ball a little more than he does?? In the Hartsville game how many times did # 5 touch the ball...or how many times did the other back get it in a row when they rammed it down our throats...??? I've asked quite a few people and many of them feel the same way...guess i'm the only one who's willing to ask the question....I just want our football team to have the best possible chance to win...In highschool you take your best athletes and give them the ball.....period!!! I'd love to spread the ball around to everyone and in college you can do that because you have the athletes but at the 3a level that's kinda hard to do...

I LUV ME SOME POSSUM!!!!....BE SURE YOU GOT PLENTY OF A-1 Hope it's "road kill" possum...that's always alot leaner than the ones you have to shoot.... Anyway, I don't understand the "politics" talk. I don't think certain players are playing because of "who their parents are". A coach would have to be an idiot to do that. All I see is that we have a kid who ran a 94 yard touchdown return last year against Pearl Cohn and we can't get the ball in his hands. (he's not even running back kick offs!!) Guess we don't want to get him hurt!! Oh but wait...he's returning punts...splain that to me????? think he touched it 8 times the other night...he had about a 35 yard punt return...he ran the ball twice from the slot (even though the other team knew exactly where he was going with the ball and still gained (i think) about 12 yards on those two plays...I wish we could take him off of defense and let him rest...I don't know, maybe we just don't have the personnel to do that..but wish we could. If I had all the answers I'd be somewhere else.... Anyway, please don't come back saying i'm downing the coaching staff, I have alot of respect most of them....I just we could get it figured out... And....have ya'll added any new bleachers in Westmoreland since 2 years ago????

I agree....I don't think post game talks should be shared with anyone who isn't a player. not even the FEMALE managers....that's another thing I don't agree with. I think a football manager needs to be a guy...jmo....(oops...was all of that out loud?...hope I didn't offend...yea...not really)

I don't know your new head coach but it takes big b*&^$ to follow 2 coaching legends. Personally, if I was the new coach I'd want all the input I could get from Clint... Anyone here ever play against him? He was one of if not the best highschool quarterback I've ever benn on the field with. Very quick and he really knew football. He'd have been a great player even "without" those "not so legal at the time" tear away jerseys....

Dude...you don't understand what I said....I know everyone else (well the other good teams) have run all summer..but not up here in little ole Lafayette...sure Mahaney and Steven have always run all summer but not the rest of the team....well this year..guess what...the rest of the team did too....yea....think about that!!! Can't wait till state...

Was that Mr. Satterfield I saw on the sidelines?...I thought he gave up coaching the Jackets? (haha) There were a few bright spots during the 1st half for the Tigers....Mr. Reid HAS TO TOUCH THE BALL a whole lot more!!!( and yes....I'm shouting!!!) If he was wearing white and yellow tonight he'd have had 25 carries ....jmo.... But what do I know... Does anyone have an opinion on how the Jackets compare to the other teams were gonna face this year... I'm afraid it's only gonna get tougher....But I look back a few years to the Portland game....I didn't think we'd win a single game that year and we played at Fulton in the snow....you just never know... Mahaney did start off slow but it was a controlled run for the first 2 miles...as it was for all of the team...they really only "raced" the last mile..plus Mahaney had no competition... Macon had 1, 2, 3, 7 and 9. But it's hard to tell...it's just a jamboree and it doesn't count. However, word has it that all the boys have been running all summer. Still MLK will be hard to beat....they're always strong. Just my opinion but I don't think Station Camp will touch Macon this year. I'm sure some of you don't feel the same way so we'll just have to wait and see....let me hear it....

I'm a tiger fan and been one all my life but I'd love to see the Bulldogs upset some people this year. It'd be great for the town, county, players, parents, fans and for Highschool football in general!!!! Good Luck to ya!!

Heard a rumor today that the Reid kid will be the Tigers tailback this season. Remember him...he's the one who went 94 yards on a kick off last year against Pearl Cohn....yes....Pearl Cohn...does anyone know if this is true or just a rumor. IMO..I hope it's true...he needs to touch the ball at least 75% of the offensive plays this year for us to be successful and last year he was split out so far that we couldn't get the ball to him..
