  1. LOL Butchie you never cease to amaze /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> . Thanks for the support by the way.
  2. Camden born & raised. I can't tell you about the colleges, but whoevr gets him will be pleased with his play. Gives 150% every down, every play, every game he's an excellent young man as well. I don't know if I've seen a single team be able to stop the "MOOSE" on the first hit or two or three. Look forward to the Cougars returning to Historic Wright Field its been a few years now, but still remember the classy fans and team. Good Luck to both teams. GO BLACK & GOLD!!
  3. He finished the year strong, but that's not sayin much playin against teams like Stewart COunty, Houston Co., Waverly etc. But he seems to only be improving, and hopefully that's case this week against a good Goodpasture team.
  4. I'm from the weaker region 7-2a, and I hope H-town don't get beat up too bad. Well anyway to stride off topic 7-2a is weak with minor exceptions(Camden, Huntington, &next yer Adamsville), but those top two teams can play with any team in 8-2a just so ya know. I think they've proved that already this year. Now that's outta the way since I am from 7-2a I'm pulling for my friends to the West Those Huntington Mustangs. This team is starting to play some good ball now, and this is a fierce rivalry that they wanna win. However, on the other side Milan is playing great ball now starting to peak. Playing at Johhnie AHale is a great enviroment for the home team, but not great for the visitors. I feel that the Huntington MUstangs have what it takes to win this game. With that bein said Good Luck to both these two classy and talent filled teams. GO BLUE & GOLD!!! P.S Whoever wins this game is sure to continue to represent the West in the best and toughest fashion possible. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  5. No hard feelings Zorro. I mean Camden is a good team that deserves respect, but history shows your play being better than Camden. However on the other side if we're not even being concidered a threat that's fine, but I can promise that the Lions are not gonna hand the game to you because of your prolific name Goopasture Cougars. Camden likewise does not expect you to turn the game over to them because of their name. I think Camden's Dfense will remain strong, and hopefully our Offense will get back to its usual pace. If Camden can control the ball, not have dropped passes as they did last week, and Block those big guys yall have I feel they are more than capable of winning. As I said before though, the outcome of the game rests solely with the players of both teams. I can't say the outcome, because I haven't seen Goodpasture play at all this season. I do look forward to two hard hitting teams playing for the ability to stay alive, and good sportsmanship. Good Luck top both these good teams, and I pray for an injury free game. Also Goodpasture faithful I hope yall have a safe trip both ways.
  6. That's true. I can remember one incident from eye-witness. At houston Co. vs. Camden game a young man was lif-flighted to a hospital, but the kid's father went to check on him while on the field and the father suffered a heart-attack. Needless to say both people were life-flighted to hospitals. I can see where this would be a conflict of interest, but I still side with the parent of the injured young man. To deny the parent of the ability to see their injured child is wrong they are thier guardians, and it's their responsibility much less their perogative to check on their injured child. Very Glad to know that young man came out of the situation ok.
  7. I thought Camden was at GP, but it's even better if Gp comes to Camden. I won't complain either way I just wanna see two good teams go atit for four quarters!!! GO BLACK & GOLD!!!
  8. According to Robjim and a few others this team is one the most explosive teams in the state, and school history. Someone said that they are faster even than the Patrick Turner years and I think we all know where he is(USC). However Camden has some explosive players as well. I truly believe that if my Lions play the way they are capable they can beat this very good Goodpasture team. I realize though that beleiving is only in the fans eyes and hearts, but that the players are the only people who can decide their fate. I look forward to making the trip to GP and seein some GREAT football action. Good LUck to both teams, and as always I pray for an injury free game. All fans of the Camden Lions are more than welcome to join the Camden Caravan and make the trip, the more fans there the louder.
  9. This is ridiculous. If a parents son/daughter is injured what gives any person or organization the right to deny that parent to be with their kid. If this is a TSSAA rule it's the first I've heard of it, and if it is it needs to be revised. Glad to hear that young man is ok , and hopefully this is not a rule or there will be serious ramafications from this incident.
  10. Good Post Lions4Ever. I have nothing but respect for Goodpasture. I have only played this school once in my career, and though I wish I could have played them again I consider this to be one of the classiest teams I can remember playing. As for talking trash this does not need to be done from any Camden loyal player or fan, because this team doesn't need anymore reasons to win. Goodpasture is a historically good and rich program, and Camden is still aspiring to achieve the things they have done. I for one will leave school early if I have to to be at this game. I'm gonna try to be one of the loudest for this game for sure. I think the Letter boys of Camden will tone down the message, but will still be there with painted chests and yelling. As for the other fans we need all the support and fans in the community to rally behind our boys friday night. I am just as proud of these young men I'll gladly tell them that the Camden Lions are my team now, and will be forever. GO BLACK & GOLD!!!!
  11. We thought the same thing last year when we played CPA, and look what happened 55-28 Loss. SO we can't say no one can put 40 up on us this is a very good GP team. I will say I like this matchup better, because CPA is a passing team and GP is a pound it out team. Although as pointed out earlier by RobJim GP does have the ability to pass effectivively as well, and therefore our beloved Camden Lions will have to play the best game they've played all year. I believe if we keep this a low scoring game Camden will have the chance to win. Our D will have to be the leader, but on the same token our best Defense is our Offense right now. The Lions have to keep GP's O off the feild, and wear down those big linemen that GP have. Also our LIons will have to come out hittin and knawing at the bit, and not come out flat like they did against Fairveiw. This looks to be a good game on paper, but I have no idea how this one is gonna turn out. Good Luck to both these good teams.
  12. The First ROund was pretty predictable, but the second round is where things are gonna get shook up.
  13. he support is much appreciated Rob and Big. Who are GP's fastest players and their numbers?
  14. Well first off congrats to Trenton on the beating of WV. I don't know much about G.W. this year except they have the ability to be a good team. Trenton is a good team, and can play with the best as proved all year. With that bein said I like Trenton in this one. Good LUck to both of these teams, I hope yall have an injury free game.
  15. We didn't play GP last year. We did play CPA, and going on that you say the score will be approximately 55-28 in favor of the Cougars I assume.
  16. I beleive that overall the LIons' had one of the worst games they've had all year. They were riddled with penalties all night, but the D really stepped up while our O was dragging. Smitty had an exemplary game with three INT's great job to him. Travis once again was able to help our O get some momentum, and get us near the gaoline. If they come out like they did in the first half next week GP will roll all night. However, that was the past and next week is a new game. Fairveiw WOW. Your Defense was playing great. The only problem I saw was your Offense as everyone has been sayin. Next year if yall have many players returning people better look out, because yall will be a force to reckon with. Good Luck on next season.
  17. What are yall's predictions for this one??
  18. Thanks for that Info. Moose is an extremely talented player, and Coach Ward IMO is one the best coaches in the state. Good Luck to all the Camden Lions tomorrow night, and as always I pray for an injury free game to both teams. Fairveiw faithful I hope yall have a safe trip both ways. Lookin forward to some hard-hittin football action tomorrow night. GO BLACK & GOLD!!!!
  19. Well one more day before first round Kickoffs. Let the Post-season get under way!!!
  20. Sad to say I don't think it'll be Camdne's year. I feel that Camden is just a year or two away from winning the district, but ultimately I think the champs will be Bolivar. This Bolivar team is young but they have all their starters returning, and I 've heard that they have 8 or 9 players in rotation. I look forward to them making a lot of noise in the post-season as well.
  21. Thanks for the support LCHS but we gotta take it one game at a time. Good Luck with Richland this week.
  22. Well we aprreciate the compliment, but we just hope if we play GP that the oucome will be different than the last meeting same for CPA vs. Camden. I can't decide who to pick. Last week I picked CPA and they lost no mattter how good the game. I think this week I'll pick GP, but I'd rather not have to pick either of these teams /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> . Yall are both two good and Respectable team, and class acts for that matter. Good Luck to both these classy teams, and hope yall have an injury free game.
  23. This is play-off action buddy. You can't overlook any team now, you lose you start basketball season. The coaches at Camden are experienced and they know this. As far as looking forward to GP/CPA I'm sure the coaches are, but talking to the players they said Fairveiw deserves respect cause they are good. They aren't overlooking this Fairveiw team that's for sure. GOod Luck to both teams.
  24. What are you trying to say here Pat Pride? Go bother your losing team not the Camden LIons aiight. I like Camden in this as always. Good LUck to these teams, and as always hope and pray for an injury free game. GO BLACk & GOLD!!!!!
