When will 7A be announced? Has anyone heard?

You are absolutely right about the loss to UC affecting our team. In a previous post I commented on the fragility of our confidence. Whether or not the boys get their heads right for Gleason is going to be a big question. I hope they can. How the coach handles the the two starters that went to Europe and abandoned their teammates will be another big issue. The poor play calling the last two games will be an issue as well. SF has a lot of work to do this week, not only by the boys but by the coaches as well. As far as the uniforms are concerned; the pants are red. The jersys were brand new last year. I agree that the uniforms need to be updated but, as you say, money is an issue.

I have to say it looked like last year's South Fulton team. Lake County won every way you could win last night. In spite of the fact that we looked like a middle school team, Lake County looked good. It's hard to believe that they got beat by Union City. Our boys confidence is evidently more fragile than I thought. They looked beat before the game started. To say I am disappointed would be an understatement. Maybe this is the slap in the face they need to get going again. Good luck to Lake County. They have one heck of a team and were a class act last night. GO BIG RED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mrbigster: It is going to be perfect football weather tonight. I think both teams will be pumped up and ready to go. This is going to be a good game.

Avent and Curtis were both out of the game on that series.

Hey Dad. If you remember correctly there were at 2 if not 3 starter out of the game for the last scoring drive by UC. I don't think that the defense let up, I think the coaches let up. I have to wonder if the coaches thought that since UC had the ball and the win at 2 minutes left they thought the UC would would run out the clock. He didn't and they didn't respond.

Jack: He is a very good runner. He wasn't a good passer Friday night. He had a couple of good runs that bumped his yards per carry up. I thought we did a good job of containing him. The way the UC people were talking before the game, I expected him to be as good or better than Fulton City's Aaron Wilson and he wasn't. He is very good but he has an outstanding line to block for him. It's just that from the posts made on Coach-T I expected him to be a lot more than he was. I sure didn't expect your line to be as good as it was.

WHAT?????? Did you read what I posted before you replied or are you replying to another post and lost track? There was no jealousy in my post. I complimented UC's line.

I totally agree with you Butchie. Our play calling was poor last night. I wasn't as impressed with Colton Speed as I expected to be. What I was impressed with was UC's O and D lines. Their center was tough! That # 72 left D end was some kind of quick. UC's line won the game for them last night. It was a good game and I was pround of our boys.

Butchie: I was just as upset the last two years when they went. Wrong is still wrong even if you are losing. As far as you going, you are too big! I am only 6' 2" and I hang off of the beds in Europe. The accomodations over there aren't what we are used to in the USA. People over there are not as big as we are.

I hate to come out and sound even more ignorant than I already do but where are you guys getting all of your information on playoff brackets and "Z plans" and such for next year? I have have no idea where to get this info. Also, from where I stand, 7A is a lot better this year.

They can go after they graduate and they don't have the sports obligation. Like I said before this is NOT a school trip and it is NOT limited to students. If the team has to make do without them for the next two games they should make do without them for the next four. They owe it to their team mates to play. What does this teach our kids about commitment, obligation and responsibility? It is unbelievable that the team/coach/school is letting this happen. I guess football is a team sport only if it's convenient!

It is not a school sponsored trip. One of the teachers organizes it through a travel service and gets to go free because of it. They could go during the dead week in the summer.

In my opinion, football is a team sport. When a player commits to play football, they should be at every game and every practice. It's fine to want to travel, but travel in the off season. Don't make every person on the team pay a price for it. It is the selfish and should never be allowed.

I think that UC will need every one of those 81 yards passing. I think that they will be forced to pass. We are a whole lot better on defense than we were when we played Fulton City and Aaron Wilson was/is every bit the ball carrier that Speed is. This will be a lot better ball game than some of you think. GO BIG RED!!!!!!!!!!!!

Same here. All of the kids really like him. As far as we parents are concerned, if the boys like him and he is scoring he is doing great. He seems to be real nice guy.

Ya know dog, we have already had the best season that we have had in several years so there is no pressure on us at all. If we don't win any more games we have still had a wonderful season. UC on the other hand seems to be taking us very lightly. By the comments made by you and others on this forum it is apparent that if UC were to lose to us it would be the ultimate humiliation. If we lose to them it was expected, so there is no pressure on us and a world of pressure on UC. We will see how UC handles it when they find out that we are not the pushover they expected. Will the pressure cause them to make even MORE mistakes? We love it when our opponents fumble and turn the ball over. Just like we loved it when Greenfield lost control and discipline and helped us score our first touchdown Friday night. Whatever happens next Friday night, one thing is for sure; South Fulton will leave the field with their heads up knowing that they gave it all they had and made all of us fans proud. I can't believe you are so upset that our boys are handsome. If you want, come over and hang with us some. You don't have to recruit handsome guys to play on your team. dogears: You are right. We are terrible and lucky and awful. If I were you guys I wouldn't even bother getting up for the game. But I need to tell you this, we will bother to get up for the game. We will study your films. We will work real hard to be ready for you. Just like we did for the other 6 teams that were supposed to beat us. GO BIG RED!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I have to agree. The first half they played serious football. If they can string together 4 quarters just like that, they can win. That Ricketts kid catches so good it's stupid!

I have to admit that Greenfield was a lot better team than I thought they were. I also have to say that our defense was better than I thought they would be. With a receiver like GF had, I would have thought they would have scored a lot more. That guy had amazing hands. What a game! That was as hard fought a game as I have ever seen. I would have hated to lose but losing to a team that played like GF did last night would not have been the end of the world. That was sure fun to watch! What a come back by SF!
