He wasn't the head coach - an assistant at Oakland. Coach Marshall went to school at GHS.

They did play a Blue-White game but it was in the middle of the day, around 1:00 I think so didn't make it. One team scored three times the other once I think waswhat I heard. The center from last year messed his shoulder up last week and had surgery to repair it. He will be out till sometime in August......

Why would beating Monterey and Watertown be an upset for Gordonsville. They usually beat Monterey and Watertown every year. The scrimmage was cancelled yesterday....

Don't know but they have a scrimmage Thur. I think with Goodpasture. Not sure where ???? Should be able to tell a little about the new set up then...

FCS shouldn't have trouble with MONTEREY today. Should be able to hit off their pitcher.....

This could get ugly quick..... FCS will prevail today by alot...

Talked to some people in the know yesterday...said all is going good- kids and coaches are trying to adjust to changes and roll with it Most of the kids are excited just nervous cause all they ever knew was Coach Dillard and his system....

If my memory serves me correct -the brackets were wrong last year also??? Who did the brackets? Obviously someone who has never heard of bracketology???? Watertown had to play Friendship second game last year after finishing second in the district....NOT RIGHT.... It is definately set up for FCS and TCHS to move on???

Today Friendship beat Watertown 1-0. I heard Reeder only gave up 3 hits. Gordonsville will meet Watertown tomorrow. Seems like first two losers (MJCA and GHS) would have played today and given Watertown (the winner) the day off instead of Gordonsville?????? Hartsville has played one game and Watertown will play their third game tomorrow????

Yes they did start practice Monday. He is trying veteran players at all spots and they are trying to adjust to the difference in practice from last year. They say he is tough and they are working hard...

I'm sure Coach Marshall wouldn't take offense to your statement about missing the opportunity for change because we like the way it is at Gordonsville... Who wanted a change? When you are a contender in your region every year you must be doing things right... I'm sure he will run his own system however having worn the BLUE he understands the tradition of Gordonsville Football.

Coach Apple would be a good choice. He knows the game and he wouldn't take any slack. Plus he is a hometown guy and we all know that hometown people always have their heart in it.

I think since Moose was hand picked by Medley that after the boys meet him and Coach Medley talks to the ones that quit in support of Coach D everything will work out. Since they didn't quit out of anger just out of support hopefully they will pull together and come back.
