that is funny cause I thought the same thing, it was like he was trying to run the score up. I dont mind a coach who is aggressive but in this conference you have to be careful because the only consistant team that is good is Polk co and they were very nice by letting off the gas. time will tell about the coaches decision.

i completely agree with this. not for the fact that the kids need rest and family time. but the fact that the kids will find every excuse under the sun to not be there. its just more of a head ache than its worth dealing with. im sure the coaches would not have problem giving a kid a copie of the opponents film if the kid takes it upon himself to ask the coach. its on the kids just as much as it is the coaches

logcabinman (that wasnt theplaymaker that left that post) and my take on the film is if you wanna watch film. then come in on Sunday as a team and watch it. but when monday rolls around then its time to get to work and right now we need to worry about our offense and deffense. im very sure the coaches watch plenty of film and get a game plan that plays to our advantage. right now we are just going for first downs so lets get our offense going first. the kids dont take film serious anyways they'd rather sleep. so i think for now leave the film to the coaches and once this team is a little polished then step it up to film.

i just think that the o-line isnt going to run block very well so anything quick would mabe help keep the chains moving and keep the defense from being on the field so much. also are there times you can put some of the better dline man on oline to keep the chains moving? not saying all the time but mix it up alittle.

what about quick slants and hot passes? do you think these would help? all i know is the dive up the middle isnt working. the pass would have to be fast because the lne cant keep the pressure off. what about roll out passes that would give the qb the option of runnung or making a short throw?

i figured that comment would get a response out of you lol. i am just saying as the year has gone on i am not seeing any improvement(except for the dfense this past week). the offense is just terrible.there is no blocking and we keep running the same play over and over it seems. we need to get a line coach or a offensive coordinator but something has to be done with that offense.

this isn't little league so i think a coach can use at his discretion when to play kids. that being said i also think it is wise to look into the future and see where he needs to develope players at and try to get them ready for next year. i used to think it was just a matter of coach g being inexperienced as a head coach but after what i have seen this year i am beggining to believe he is not head coaching material. i guess time will tell.

thought the d-fense looked like they were improving but the offense was terrible. dont know who is calling the plays but they were pretty predictable. dive up the middle for what it seemed like everyother play.

I disagree - the basketball team is pretty consistant.

I would say to start with win the district games with the a goal of winning 1 playoff game.then strive to wim 2 playoff games and so on. what you are suggesting is that we will never be good no matter what we do?

you make the comment that if you go 0-10 the next couple of years. well lets not schedule copper basin or tellico just to say hey we're improved. cause i have a feeling thats whats next. to make the coaches look like they've accomplished something they'll make a cup cake schedule

the point I was trying to make was that Maryville has kids that come from families that make allot of money and they seem to do well. So I guess Etowah and Englewood have sorry kids from families that dont teach committment and loyalty.

i think this is all helpful. i have heard some great ideas and allot of excuses. we just need to eliminate the excuses and put the great ideas in action. if not we will be here again next year in the same place

i am tired of the mind set that next year we'll be good. and we're going to have our ups and downs. this exact mind set causes the ups and (mostly)downs to happen. i aint happy going 0-10 and being the laughing stock of the district. i want a set of goals from the coach and lets hold the coach accountable. this is the real world. if he cant get it done then its time to get a new coach. but the b.s excuse wait till the next couple of years. thats a loser excuse. and blame it on the parents? thats a coaches excuse. and if we dont win nobody will want to play and coach goodin wont be able to keep this upcoming group together. and on the help. i offered my opinion on the little league i cant really say much more because i am happy with the expressed interest
