tiger your way off. Waverly only got 1 first down from a penalty against us, until early in the 3rd quarter when 2nd offense and second defense went into the game. I know this because my twins play on the 2nd o and 2nd d. And if we would not have had a ref with a flag he couldn't keep in his pocket every time he seen a hold 30 yds up the field from the action, the 2nd string would have been in after the first quarter. No offense to your team meant, but be real. We had 2 tds maybe 3 called back for holds in the 1st quarter and the holds, if they did exist, were not even close to the action.

We have a great team and an excellent set of Coaches, but make no mistake anything can happen. If our boys at HC plan on making it to the big dance we are going to have to start hitting like we did against Marshall county at the first of the year. I helped the chain crew in that game and I felt sorry for thier players. Our boy were laying licks that would take an average player out for a few plays and they did it the whole game. I have not seen them play with that intensively as a collective unit since that night. They are a well rounded team and yes we have a passing game when we need it. We have had a little trouble with covering the pass, that is true. But now it is playoff time for all teams that are in it. It is time to step up and show all you got in every game. If HC boys want this bad enough, then watch out cause they are hard to beat.

I would like to see Lewis play Hickman again at a neutral location.

Both teams would have won a couple, however I don't think it would have helped either team be a dominant force in the playoffs. I doubt both teams would have even made the playoffs. I think it is good for the county to have a school out of the county to go into the playoffs. I wanted my boys to stay with the coach they had been with for the last 2 yrs. This is only my opinion.

Congrats to the East team, they played with a lot of heart. If Coach will keep up the discipline with these boys he will do well within the next couple yrs. Roll on Bulldogs.

I am pulling for you East boys. My boy played with the freshman and sophmores during his middle school yrs at east. I know you guys have the talent and the heart, just keep on keeping on. We are all Hickman County residents and I'll be pulling for you guys. I hope you are pulling for us on our trip to the big Hohenwald this week as well.

I sincerely hope the whole team has that overconfidence. Lewis County has a good program and great coach, but make no mistake, don't under-estimate this HC team. If they do, they'll be very very disappointed friday night.

They are a great team, but Hickman did again. 41 to 31. They have a killer pass game. Congraduations Bulldogs and Coach Swenson and all the other coaches. Thanks for your dedication coaches.

You speak correctly in your observation. We had the worst game we've had defensively(my opinion). I am not giving you any excuses, so please don't take it that way harpeth played well. One of our defensive powerhouses had some trouble physically the day of the game and was not able to play. It seemed that hurt more than I thought, perhaps the other boys didn't realize how much he was helping and didn't pick up where they needed. If that is the worst we play the rest of the season we will be fine. But, a win is a win,right?

I apologize for the misunderstanding. There were several kids that had very good oportunities and Colleges looking at them at HCHS and they are Jrs and Srs. They were given a choice to stay at HC high or go to East. There were certain people that chose to send their JRs and SRs to East due to a hate for the HCHS community for whatever reason. I simply meant to say, it isn't and wouldn't be in a child's best interest to put them at East with such an opportunity to be on top the last 1 or 2 yrs of their High School Yr. I made a blanket statement and I didn't mean all parents were idiots, I guess I assumed the guilty parties knew what I was speaking of. I repeat, I did not mean to imply all East parents were idiots by any means. However, I never would speak of a childs name on here in a negative way. I hope this clears that up. And the Rivalry I speak of in Spring Hill and Columbia was a very respected on and brought a lot of revenue into the school that hosted the game, it was friendly.

I did not insinuate that all parents that allowed their children go to East were idiots. There are other issues,such as money and travel expense involved with some going to HC. I understand some had no choice financially and I am just blessed to be able to make it happen for my children. I did say if a parent pushed their children to the East school because of a rivalry, they were idiots. I have also numerous times complimented the athletic ability of the 9th and 10th graders at East and they are very good children and ball players. My youngest son played for EMS for 2 yrs and I like to see them do well. But, You have taken it in a bad direction talking smack about my boys, and I consider that as low as you can get. I hope HC does what they know how to do and are ready to play. If they are, I believe we'll come out on top.
