  1. All BS aside, the Patriots take it to NE. Get your popcorn ready!
  2. HC is not fighting to stay in 5A. The TSSAA had us in 5A then bumped us to 6A because some teams wanted to move up in classification. Our school requested to stay where we were originally and the TSSAA agreed with us. End of story. We are "worked up" because our team is #1 in the state and undefeated. We are worked up because we have won 36 out of our last 40 games. We are worked up because we have won 22 regular season games in a row. Why wouldn't we be worked up? That all may end Friday night against NE. I understand from you posters from Clarksville that they are bigger, faster, stronger, and more athletic than our guys are. And on top of that, they are closer to Fort Campbell, so that gives them a distinct advantage over our pitiful team. I will be surprised if we can stay within three TDs of NE, based on their proximity to Fort Campbell alone. This is likely to be a massacre with NE whipping our team badly, at least that's what I get from you "football brilliant" posters from Clarksville. Haha, your killing me warrior! Heck, I dont know why we should even suit up. Just go ahead and give Fort Campbell the win.
  3. If NE players need stuff from a message board to get motivated for this game, then they are in for a long Friday night, and an even longer ride home.
  4. Sorry, I'm not the one that said that...check your posts . What I did say is Northeast is very fired up. You may want to read back through the thread. Not my quote sir. I would never second guess a team of players...on any given Friday night, anything gives. Your right, my bad. That was addressed to Lamentalist. Thanks for pointing that out.
  5. trulyblessed, you said "Thier guys want it more..." How did you come to that conclusion? Have you talked to our players and/or coaches? Have you talked to the NE players and/or coaches? Just wondering what makes you think a team coming in 6-0, doesnt "want" to win thier homecoming game. If you talked to both teams, how did you guage or measure the amount of "want" each team had? HC-41 NE-13
  6. I hear Kennon Holder for Huntington is very, very good. THe kid for Davidson Acadamy is suppose to be very good also. I cant think of his name. I think his first name is Justin.
  7. Did he really just compare our HC Patriots to the great Bills teams of the 90s? Sounds like he thinks HC hung the moon too! HC rolls STRONG Friday night.
  8. Haha, man. I just got back from lunch. I was gonna reply, but the prophet and red warrior took care of business. I will say I am glad for your presence dontknow or dontcare or whatever. You have brought the HC thread to life. That's funny, first you try and act like we are not up to par cause we scored 49 points on a 150 measily little ole yards. Now, we are even worse cause we have only made to the 4th round of the pallyoffs for the last 3 consecutive years. Here is some advice, before you type something on here, stand in front of a mirror, and see if you look as stupid saying it as you sound when we read it. If so, maybe you should just stick to reading the posts, because your obviously in over your head. Oh, your NE team will know what three and out means Friday night.
  9. Ha...I guess we ALL have issues. According to this guy anyway. Good thing he doesnt seem to know what he is talking about.
  10. So your basing your opinion about this game one how many yards each team had against West Creek? What a joke! So if your special teams give you EXCELLENT field position and/or even score, then that makes you a lesser team than had your offense drove 90 yrds on every posession? That's rediculous. You are thinking that 49 pts. "on only 150 yards offense" is a weakness? You seriously need to try and come up with a better comparison. BTW, I personally would not even consider ANY, ANY, ANY stats against West Creek.
  11. I gotta believe they will go home disappointed and 3-3. I am not saying this will be an "easy" win, or anything like that. But I dont see NE beating the Patriots. By the support at the other Clarksville schools, I imagine they might be a little shell shocked at the crowd Friday night. If we could just get the 12th man more active. Anyone have any idea on what the average attendance is on a Friday night at Patriot Stadium?
  12. Your memory has served you wrong! Mitchell & Knox Catholic I believe wanted to be bumped up from 4A to 5A. Henry Co.'s enrollment was 5A but us along with Morristown East were bumped to 6A based off those two scools decision to move up a class. TSSAA agreed that a school shouldn't be moved up just based on another schools decision to move up. No you just answered my question and my memory was right. You were bumped and you ran to make a case to stay in 5A. Your district would still have been the same, so you make the call. You ran to get away from the 6A in playoffs! I never said you wouldn't compete, because you would. Like I said you are a VERY good football team. I watched you last year. However, do not get on here and say we will play where TSSAA puts us and we will play anyone. History shows that is not what you did!! Best of luck the rest of the way. I'm sure you have another good team and maybe I will catch you in the state championship game. I missed the part where someone said "We are Henry County and we will play any one, anywhere, anytime." or anything to that effect. Could you please point that out to me since you are so intent on repeating it.
  13. Speed kills? That's what the Jackson and Memphis boys have told us the last three years. Of course, they didnt say much of that the week after they played us. I guess they went on to the basketball threads.
  14. i saw where the city of Clarksville has a population of about 120,000+. Clarksville has 2 6(A), 4 5(A) and Montgomery central which i think is 3(A). I would guess that NE and Rossville have about 1400, and the 5(A) schools about 1200 each - that's 7,600 high school kids and you want them in one or two schools? The 5(A) schools have about the same enrollment (give or take a couple hundred) so the "talent pool" should be the same. I do realize that as schools become sucessful that talented players gravitate towards these programs , thus it skews the "talent pool" ratios, but the classifications are suppose to help keep everyone on a level playing field. I typed up this long response twice, and both times when I read back though it, I felt like I was being disrepectful to Clarksville teams/posters. That is not my intent whatsoever, so I deleted both responses. I will just say this, what you say makes alot of sense and I agree, but for whatever reason, Clarksville teams seem to be down. I agree the "skew" happens, but the effect must be minimal seeing as how there is not a school in Clarksville that towers over the rest. I mean, it sounds like you have second stringers transfering to get starting jobs, rather than star players transfering to winning teams. Its like it's backwards from what you hear out of Memphis schools. The whole thing really puzzles me.
  15. i don't understand the statement about the talent level being spread too thin in Clarksville, please explain. Clarksville has so many highschools, the talent/atheletes are spead among many schools. Just imagine if you took Rossview, Clarksville High, North East, North West, and West Creek and made an All-Star team from the best players at each school. I dont know how or if zoning is done in Clarksville, but they have ALOT of schools. The talent and atheletes are there, but instead of having them on one or two very good teams, with needed depth, they are few and far between on 5 or more teams. I think it was Kenwood that only had around 30 dressed out.
  16. So...you saying depth means nothing? This is just rediculous. If your puting a team together. Would you rather have 200 players to choose your 22 starters from or would you prefer to 2000 to choose your 22 starters from? Shouldnt matter, right? I mean by your logic, you can only field 11 anyway, so what does having a larger talent pool do? I mean surely you will have as many capable atheletes in 200 kids as there would be in a group of 2000 kids. But that doesnt matter because you can only field 11, right. You should contact TSSAA and let them know they are wasting thier time with all the classification crap, school size shouldnt matter right? Hey, Red Warrior, does depth mean ANYTHING to a coach?
  17. I sat on the West Creek side, and had a great time. You West Creek folks are great! My hats off to everyone one involved at West Creek. I couldnt imagine trying to start up a school/program.
  18. HC by 2 TDs. The Clarksville school system has spread the talent pool too thin. HC has more depth than probably any 2 Clarksville teams combined. I still dont think this HC county team has played up to their potential through 4 quarters. Yet, they have only been really challenged once.
  19. I remember her quite well. She was quite amusing, both on here and in person. I DONT mean that to be a compliment. We would all like to forget about her, but a certain someone just keeps bringing her up. Come on Yank, help us forget!
  20. I'm with prophet. I considered Rossview to be the threat coming out of Clearksville.
  21. Warrior, I'm thinking it was in the neighborhood of 50-55yrds inthe air. I was shocked to say the least.
  22. Was anybody else as shocked as I was at how far Sims threw the ball on the dropped pass to Ray. Jesus, I never would have thought he had that strong of an arm. I know Ray couldnt have expected it to make it to him. Hum...makes you wonder what kind of bombs we will see when the competition is stiffer.
  23. Well, the "T" is pretty slow today. Thought I would go ahead and kick this one off. I dont know much, if anything about West Creek. Anybody?
  24. I would say no, I dont see it making much of a difference. It would probably affect crowd size/support.
  25. I see how your adding 21 points with your wouldas and couldas, but how are you taking away 21 points from the Patriots? Anyway, wouldas and couldas dont mean squat when the clock reads triple zeros in the 4th. Believe me, if anyone knows that, it is a team that has lost in the semis that last 3 years. Bottom line is that HC has to do a better job of protecting the football.
