  1. Players... Good luck tonight in this regional showdown with Clinton. I assure you there are many supporters, three or four message board posters are not the way most of us feel. Clinton will find out tonight that the there is still a lot of bite left in these dogs! Watch out Dragons because it all comes together tonight healthy players a few adjustment Devils come out of this one on top tonight.
  2. Halls Fans... Go to PrepXtra and vote for Big Caleb Leonard for last weeks Defensive Player of the Game. He had a great night along with the others on the defensive side of the ball holding Young to 88 yards.
  3. Bugman... Since you started this QB issue, here are some points to consider before you start attacking players. I have no problem with anyone questioning coaches ability but personally attacking 14, 16 and 17 year olds. Somehow I see these young man as being bigger than you are today in both height and heart.... If you think these kids do not read this stuff you must be smokin some good stuff... Good way to motivate (NOT) our Team through such a key upcoming game. I will assure you a QB has to have more than 4.6 speed and a 55 yard ball! QB's have to be developed by coaching! You can have an athelete with great ability however if he is not recieving proper coaching and teaching of the position it matters nell! ( that is unless you have a playmakers like Dayton or Gresham they make a good QB look great) Does Halls truly have a QB coach that understands the position? If so do the have they ability to teach the mechanics, techniques and leadership ability of the position? What goes in to teaching a QB to throw specific routes? (Are the routes timing based or lets just throw the ball out there and see what happens.) What about the recivers and blocking backs should they not be part of the soloution also? (I have seen many balls come off the targeted reciver that could have been the difference in winning. I have also seen as recent as last week a QB get hammered twice due to backs missing or side stepping blocks.) Have the recievers been taught how to run precise routes and do they stay on them? What goes in to teaching defensive schemes, techniques and coverage package to QB's? What ability is given to them to change plays if any? What effort goes into game film study with the QB to teach and show the cover packages and tendency of the opponet? Did HALLS do any 7-7 this summer to build on a passing game? Well Mr or Mrs Bugman whats your thoughts... Being that you are so up to date on the QB's at Halls give us your knowledge to the questions. This may truly help you get to the root cause of your frustrations instead of making attacks you may be a parent, relative or close friend that just may be to close to the situation or have a AGENDA. Because I assure you based on your comments you are looking threw some Rose colored Glasses. Here is how I relate, look at Maryville they had no one person that stood out this year at QB and really was questioning who could lead the team. Coach Q understands the position and what it takes to devlop a good/great QB's. At this point he has taken two questionable QB's and made them into 6-O team. Coaching, being prepared and player execution are critical to getting the W. I hope you feel better about calling out Turner, Dowdy and the Freshman Brady Brown. Sounds like they could be some concern on your part. Halls 21 Clinton 17
  4. I agree 100%. We still have the ability to run the table. Coaches must coach, players must execute and fans must get behind both. Go BIG RED!!!! I sure hope the fans get behind the boyz tonight. I thought the Halls faithful was weak at home opener.
  5. Starz Heard through the Grapevine storm already hit Hauls field it started raining last week and has not stopped. Its a funny thing No rain in August for entire state but in Hauls. I was told that 20 orange fays line the track and being emptied daily however they were just brought in to have enough BR for our beloved Maryville Caravan. All we need now is the rain and the sprinklers to start Thursday morning. Should be as thick as momma Starz Gravy! Not sure if I agree with your math. No 60-0 team, No Dynasty, No Golden RINGSSSSSSS, No Rivals listing, No ESPN or USA Today listings. I would have to say Maryville is the best in the STATE and you have the hardware to back it up. At Hauls we are just trying to find enough people that want to play ball so that they can just lose to Maryville each year and pull for ya at the Boro. If you dont mind you think you could talk to GQ and get him to leave some of our BOYZ some Nike shoz after the game.
  6. BLAH, BLAH, BLAH... Lets talk Friday who CARES about ALCOA this week? Based on all the post that pertains to the subject it seems Halls/Maryville have some of the same questions to get answered Friday Night. 1- Who are the TEAM leaders that will step up for this BIG GAME? 2- Can either team complete a pass? 3- Special Teams Which team Wins here? 4- Can Halls/Maryville get the job done upfront to allow plays to develop? 5- What about Depth from both sides? 6- Can Halls finally defend the option IF Maryville has truly had to return to a running game? 7- Can Maryville stop the stable of running backs that Halls will feature? As for my prediction Friday night... Halls! However the BOYZ will have to avoid Turnovers and the Coach J and staff will need to out COACH GQ and staff. The stage is set for a great night of football in North Knoxville. Go BIG RED! The red devil nation is behind you in force Friday night strap it up and play hard nosed against those Nike Champions. Maryville we dont hate ya... WE LOVE YA...No need to walk around with that chip on your shoulder, that everbody is after me. It matters not to us if you are 60-0 or 60-1.
  7. Sixsons, I have to agree with ZCAR. The insight to the program is very interesting to say the least. You also bring along an attitude and work effort of trying to make our program better. I wish we had more people to step up and be involved in our program like you demostrate. Your attitude and commitment to the program are only paralled by a few. I wonder just how many BOOSTERS will be there tonight????? You simply posted your opinion. I do believe we live in a country that allows freedom of speech. As my Great Grandmother said "everyone is entitled to there opinion". One last point T is the the returning starting QB it is his to lose or keep. No message posting is going to give someone a position on the field. I would have to believe that the coaches are capable of making the final call. Lets urge this group of men to be unselfish and play for theTEAM not an Individual.
  8. Littlemn88- Game time 7pm. As for Practice this week it is going just like any other week. KJ has not changed anything and the DABOYZ are relaxed, intense and focused. It will in fact be a special night for all. We need to be LOUD and welcome Cleveland to the Home of the BIG RED! /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />
  9. Should be Channel 3 on Comcast if the channel is ION. I looked at the guide and is shows High Scool Game to be annouced @4pm.
  10. On Monday night both Freshman and JV won at Clinton. The JV final was 24-0 cannot recall the end score of the freshman game. The JV Team played well rotating lots of different kids. Josh Hillard had an outstanding game. The team looked as if they had put the Bearden game behind them. Lots of hard hitting and some very tough football attitude. Guys great job and remeber you are the future to the program keep play'in HARD!!!!!
  11. Last night both Freshman and JV was defeated by Bearden. I believe Freshman score was 36-30,not sure of the final it did go into OT. The JV final was 12-6.
  12. Halls JV defeated West tonight 7-0. The final score came in the last seven seconds by QB Hunter Snoderly.
  13. Halls JV defeated West tonight 7-0. The final score came in the last seven seconds by QB Hunter Snoderly.
  14. Best of my knowledge here is a brief recap. Gibbs 6 offensive series, No First Downs, One Fumble (Recovered by Ben Mcfalls), 2 picks(One by Gbson not sure on the second). Halls total seven offensive series. S#1 three plays TD Gibby. S#2 seven plays TD QB Dowdy to Burton on wiggle Team went for two QB Dowdy keeps conversion good. S#3 TD Seven plays TD Pixley. S#4 Two plays Half ends. S#5 five plays TD Pixley. S#6 Two Plays TD Pixley. S#7 Two plays game ends. Lets end this by saying good job on the front line in executing blocks needed to make bigs plays. The unit plays as a team.
  15. JV stepped up with another win Halls 36-0 over Gibbs. Halls controled both sides of the game from start to end.
