  1. 4TH LONGEST HIGHSCHOOL WIN STREAK IN ALL TIME. DEL LA SALLE, CA, INDEPENDENCE, (CHARLOTTE) AND SOUTH PANOLA, MS HAD LONGER ONES.
  2. The Rebels first team defense has allowed only something around 5.3 points per game. Correct me if I'm wrong but the only team to score double digits on the first team D was Alcoa.
  3. hhsfootballan 22, Have you seen Maryville play? I have not seen HHS play so I won't be so presumptuous as to make any predictions other than my desire for a Maryville win. I think you must know a great deal about Maryville based on your astute observations about Maryville's size and lack of speed. Praying for a great game with no injuries.
  4. I don't see West have much of a chance at beating Maryville. 42-7
  5. Well they recruited their entire defense this year. Their linebackers are 5'8 185 5'6 170 5'6 190. One of their defenseive tackles is 5'10 190, One of their ends is 6'0 200. I'll tell you what though buddy, they need to fire that recruiter cuz the boys over there are just too big and athletic for the rest of Tennessee to compete. It couldn't be work ethic or desire. Because 17 and 18 year old boys just don't possess that kind of commitment do they. Yeah your'e right, Maryville cheats. Some body should say something.
  6. Clevland vs Maryville starters- 42- 6 Clevland vs the band 49-13 I don't see Clevland putting many points on Maryville's Defense. They play too well together as a team, and Maryville's Offense is running good on all cylinders. Clevland doesn't know whats coming.
  7. There were nut shots taken, #52 Josh Sullivan talked about them after the game, Zane Winders was also punched, the last series that Maryville's first team D was on the field the left side OG and OT had a good block on Luke Cox, the guard went on to find someone else, but the tackle stayed on top of Cox and hit him while he was on his back after the whistle was blown. The refs saw the entire thing and just told the tackle to cool it. #55 slid down a Maryville defender's leg and tried to twist his knee. A Heritage defender also jumped into a pile and began swinging. That's just a few of the things I noticed. I talked to numerous players who said that was one of the dirtiest games they have played. The Heritage student section is also one of the classless student section I have ever seen in my 37 years of high school football. The refs wouldn't call a thing. There were numerous blatant holds and blocks in the back and that weren't called.
  8. That Heritage team was the most classless team I have seen in a long time.
  9. Maryville's 1st Team D dominated Oak Ridge's Offense. OR got something round 1 or 2 first downs in 30 plays. Maryville's O could use a little work though, but I'm sure GQ and co will have them ship shape come the 22nd. He didn't schedule OR, Farragut, and DB scrimmages for spits and giggles.
  10. Red Bank... /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  11. Maryville's D returns all three linebackers in Jeff Booker, Luke Cox, and Cody McCoy. All this season's starting DB's started at least one game last season, and saw a whole lot of PT. Justin Smith is a force on the line, along with Brad Heath, Dane McCoy, and Josh Sullivan. McCoy, Heath, and Sullivan played in big games last year. Look for this years D to be the most experienced in a while. Maryville's O this year is going to be a threat with the Shuler/Jones combo. Shuler's speed combined with Jones's force is going to be dangerous. Mark Young has matured a lot at quarterback, attending numerous camps and combines. He looks really sharp. Look for him to be connecting with Trenda, Jordan, Brazan, Harris, and Winders for some big time yards. The O line is returning veterans, Coulter, Beets, Englehardt, and one-time starter Taylor Stinnet, who shut down WB's TJ Walker in last years match-up. Look for Cole Loveday, Cody Norton, and Tevin Owsley to factor in on the line somewhere as well. We'll see you on the 22nd /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />
  12. The team is already getting sick of hearing about Halls ending their streak. Halls doesn't even know... /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  13. Didn't Halls lose to Redbank something around 42- 7 and didn't we beat Redbank 52-21. That shows you how much scores matter. As I played in both the Halls game and the Alcoa game last year, I would have to say Alcoa was a better team. We just didn't execute on defense like we normally do. And I can tell you Gaylor and co. reamed us for it the next Monday.
