Man, I hate that about Mosier. As stated, he is the best player in the region. Not to mention, he is the heart and soul of that football team. You tend to see them looking around for him when he isn't out there. Someone has got to step up this week and be that guy. Im sure Travis will be the loudest cheerleader out there on Firday night. I see it really tough for the Cavs to pull this one out. However, I've seen much crazier things. I will be rooting for the CAVS. Good luck to all of Region 7. I would love to get another shot at the Tomcats! Prediction later this week...

With both teams coming off of a tough loss, it will be interesting to see how they respond. I look for DC to try to exploit the Cavs secondary early. If it works, could be a long night, but if the Cavs get pressure on the QB with some of the quickness on the D-line, it could get nasty. Should be fun to watch. I'll be there. Cavaliers are generally tough to beat at home, and if Mosier was a 100% and I was a gambling man, I would lay it ALL down on Crockett. However, Mosier and all the other running backs are not healthy. I expect a vey tight game. As posted earlier, I don't see how a game that is deciding 3rd place in the region could be an "Upset" either way? Anyway, for what it's worth I am going to go out on a limb and say that with it being Mosier and the rest of the seniors possible last home game at Cavalier Stadium, they have a big game! Mosier scores on a break away run in the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter to claim the victory 24-21!! Gotta love the drama! Good luck and safety to both teams!

I don't know much about Southside this year. How do they match up against the Cavs? My prediction will come later on in the week. I'm still kinda tore up about that D-burg game!

Im not quite sure that you would call the D-burg teams of 3 and 4 years ago "Average". Talent-wise, they were just as good if not better than the Cavs during this time period. They even won the region one of those years, i believe. I agree, it will be a nail biter!

If Mosier is not ready, he doesn't need to play. His health is going to be too critical down the stretch to risk re-injuring something this early in the season. I know he has a lot of heart, but if he's not ready, PA and the trainers won't let him step on the field.

What time do Crockett County and Dyer County play today?

What is going on with Crockett County? Starting off 0-6 in the district is very disappointing! I hope they can turn things around. I know that Coach Foust is putting in lots of hard work, and I hope that the kids are putting in just as much. I know that they have a talented group of kids, I just don't understand what the problem is? I also know that D-Burg and Dyer County are the top two 13AA but they are both defeatable, as their records show. Come on Cavs, play hard and enjoy the game!! It can make a huge difference!!

As tough as this is, as a Cavalier Fan, my prediction is...Dyer County - 24 Crockett County-14. I just don't think that the Cavalier secondary will be able to stop DC. If the Cavs lose, it will be the first year that they haven't made the playoffs since I believe 1998 (correct me if im wrong). /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

I want to make a prediction in this game, but it is just a tough one for me. My Cavs have had such a tough, emotional season. The Choctaws have had such an exciting, emotional season. They are both good football teams, there is no doubt. Dyer County is definitely more talented and has more momentum. Crockett County has a great coach and winning tradition, and should have the most motivation (fighting for the 4-spot in 7-3A). My prediction is gonna have to come later this week...Good luck to both teams!

Is Dyer County going to come out and play their starters 100% for 4 quarters if need be? I am most definitely not trying to start anything on here, it is just a question that i have been wondering. I mean they are the Region Champs and have home-field pretty much throughout. Why would you not rest your starters and get everyone healthy for week 1 of the REAL season, the playoffs?

I am a Cavalier fan, but the turnout will not be the same as last year in this game. CC does not have the talent that they had last year, and Dyersburg has just a little more than last year after losing lineman such as Beasley, etc. but picking up Parker at QB which makes them all the more dangerous! My prediction is Dyersburg 38 - Crockett Co. 14.
