  1. MBA's secondary is a weak spot. Ravenwood passed on them with relative ease. Rader and Wade, their safteys, can lay some monsterous hits, but the pass defense is not very strong.
  2. MBA has beaten Hillsboro, don't even try to say they were not challenging with their incredible speed. The best team EHS has played is McCallie.
  3. matt and mark mulloy were kicked out for drugs. FRHS will win this game with ease. ehs destroyed knox webb
  4. Ravenwood was a scare for MBA and McCallie was a motivational booster for EHS. This plays into the hands of MBA, who will have one of their best weeks of practice this week as they know EHS is for real and they cannot lose on their homecoming. MBA's defense needs to come out firing and send a message to EHS. It will be a very good game but I believe MBA will pull out the win.
  5. ravenwood is going to get embarassed on their homecoming, but atleast they have funny t-shirts /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  6. MBA is stomping them. 35-0 in 2nd quarter. Vinsang with 3 td's already.
  7. ive never seen Maplewood play, so i'm not going to say this isn't true, but i know you have never seen MBA's defense either. i went to the MBA vs Hillsboro game with the same attitude you have right now, expecting MBA to beat them rather easily. You're going to be in for a pleasant suprise when you see the offensive attack Hillsboro has.
  8. MBA came out sloppy, Hillsboro came with their A Game. Hillsboro looked untouchable in the first half between their quick passing game with their very speedy receivers and Seward in the backfield. MBA just wasn't wrapping up. Coaching won MBA the second half for sure. Their defensive schemes were getting sacks without anyone being touched and their offense was able to move the ball consistantly. Great game between two state championship contenders.
  9. first of all MBA will have much more complicated schemes against hillsboro than just blitz blitz blitz. secondly, MBA is a very physical team and will be jamming/putting extreme pressure on the wrs when theyre trying to get out on their routes. im not saying hillsboro wont have success through the air, but it wont be as easy as youre portraying it to be.
  10. im talking about Cody, i dont remember his last name. hes actually 5'6 147lbs. i've heard from multiple ppl on hillsboro that he starts. i would love to see him shed a block from ben bartholomew
  11. yeah that was really difficult stopping waddey and vinsang when they would line up at qb and just run left right or up the middle. not to mention mba's line this year is far superior to last seasons. wesley johnson, 6'5 235ish, is already a d1 prospect and his offers will only increase. he had 15-20 pancakes against McAdoo who was supposed to be a standout. this year, although most wont admit it, mba is MUCH more balanced. wise passed for 160 yards last game which is enough to not completely just focus on the run game and bring up your safteys as extra lbs like everyone did last year against mba.
  12. ensworth is shaping up to be a solid team in the coming years, but they are far too inexperienced and are too small at the line to pose much threat to teams like McCallie and MBA this year. But with the talent they're bringing in, along with the coaching staff they have over there, they're going to eventually be a force to be wreckoned with.
  13. i'm not an MBA fan at all, but i have seen both teams play this year. i'm going to try to avoid making any more extremely bold statements to avoid being critcized, but i will go ahead and say that i feel that hillsboro is most likely going to come into this game much like Antioch did against MBA. Athletic, quick and very cocky, and thats not a good way to enter a game up against a team as well coached as MBA. I know i'm rubbing off as a big time MBA supporter, but thats only because they have struck me as one of the finest looking hs teams i have seen in a while. Go ahead and say size doesnt matter if you have athleticism and speed, but when your QB (Arent) is one of the biggest players on your team, and youre going up against team with the size that MBA has this year, that is never a good combination. Finally, everyone keeps discussing hillsboro's secondarys speed. This will play hardly any role in the game. MBA will pound the ball down the throat of hillsboro. Last i heard, hillsboro has a 5'7ish 150ish lbs linebacker, run run run is what MBA will do. When they need to resort to passing, wise has really developed and their wr run mainly possession like routes which will still be affective against hillsboro. hillsboro also has excellent wr speed, i'm sure MBA has been focusing on not giving up the big play all week long and will be sure to minimize their gains as best they can. i dont see the running game of hillsboro ever getting started as their line will have hardly any success against MBA's line and lb's. Think what you wish, but MBA's too well coached and powerful to allow hillsboro's speed and athleticism to beat them.
  14. first of all, that being my first post has nothing to do with what i said. secondly, if you believe hillsboro's strenghth is anywhere near the strength of MBA, you have another thing coming. finally, MBA blitzed like crazy against the last couple of teams they have played this year, why?, because they knew it would disrupt their offense and last time i checked, it worked. but what you're failing to realize is the fact that coaches change their gameplans and McGougin is a very intelligent coach and isnt dumb enough to blitz like they did against independence and baylor, two teams with very slow QBs, and leave people in one on one situations against quicker athletes than them... and honestly, MBA's running game will be strong as ever, their line will have no problem moving hillsboro's small line and with ben bartholomew leading through the hole, the holes will definetly be there for Vinsang and Waddey.
  15. hillsboro may be fast, but their lack of size is going to kill them. mba will be able to run all over them and milk the clock all game long. hillsboro will be one dimensional on offense because their line wont be able to hold off mba's line + alfonso knight and ben bartholomew. their passing will also be crippled because of the pressure mba will be able to put on hillsboro and with nathan wade and jas rader at saftey, speed wont be as big of an issue as both of those players have excellent speed. im going to go out on a limb and say MBA will blow out hillsboro and shock all of mid tennessee who really hasnt been paying MBA the respect they deserve, mba 38 hillsboro 7
