  1. ensworth's rushing offense will obviously tear mba apart for a considerable portion of the game, but i don't think they will be able to pass on mba very consistantly and now that they don't have tavarres at qb to run options i don't think they will be able to score anywhere near the number of points they put up on mba last year. especially if joe riegle spys on orleans like he did to the maplewood running back in the 4th quarter (he ripped mba up until then). mba tore ehs apart with their passing game last year and i think they will do it again considering tanner and mobley had huge games last year versus ensworth. bars at te is also a huge upgrade from last year considering sloan was hurt by the time mba played ensworth last year. fitz is an animal in the running and passing game and i bet he racks up atleast 2 td's with tanner/mobley probably racking in another 2-3 td's. fletcher is also a huge weapon for mba (if they can get a good snap and hold). mba 31 ehs 28
  2. yes one-sided highlights, but still enjoyable to watch. Fitz #23 is one heck of a player and is going to be absolutely incredible next year as well.
  3. as bigreddad said, the game was terribly officiated. ravenwoods fans were really disapointing for all the hype rappy gave them. mba's fans had more character and intensity. mba could have easily blown that game out more than they did as they had some big drops, one being an easy touchdown, but a good win to have while playing mediocre football. ravenwood played well, their running back is very elusive and their qb is very scrappy and tough.
  4. If you think MBA fans aren't going to be loud, you have another thing coming. I was at the Hillsboro game just as a neutral fan and have to say the MBA fans completely destroyed Hillsboro who you said were good fans earlier. Also to talk about the game, MBA has a great balanced offense with a smashmouth, playmaking defense. Ravenwood is not going to be able to stop them on either side, and looking at their stats against BHS, their QB was 4/11 passing. If they cannot pass against MBA, they cannot win. Running will not get much of an effect for Ravenwood. Hillsboro had to resort to passing to stay in the game with MBA. MBA will keep on rolling and ignorant Ravenwood fans such as Rappy will be heartbroken. I almost feel like paying the money to watch the expressions on their faces. I'm normally not the one to bash people on coach t, but Rappy was too ignorant for me not to comment.
  5. Moeller has rejected giving MBA any film on their team, so McGugin is having to talk to other schools from Cincy to get film from other teams. Moeller also had coaches at the MBA vs. Antioch game. This should be a real interesting game for MBA, and I cannot wait to watch it on the NFL network. Roll Red!
  6. Whoever said Bubis has not done anything this year has obviously not watched him play. First of all, his main job is to clog holes and make easy tackles for Knight and Bartholomew and he still has managed to accumulate a very impressive number of TFL's and sacks. He had, I believe 4 sacks last game, and numerous numbers of knockdowns/hurries on the quarterback. He is going to hold his own once again against Ryan playing of the most demanding positions on the field. Just the thought that Mix and Goodrum playing in the game, eventhough Mix played in the last meeting, will cause any drastic changes is humorous. This game is going to be decided on the first two drives. If MBA shoves it down their throat like the last meeting, expect another blowout. If Ryan is able to move the ball and stop MBA, expect a much better matchup than last time. In the end however, MBA will make its way to State to meet BA. I'm standing by my earlier prediction, MBA 24 Ryan 0
  7. BA wins big EHS needs Jefferson in the backfield
  8. Kevin Mix, the same guy who got dominated all game and eventually injured by Wesley Johnson. I'm not trying to hurt anyones feelings, but nothing about that matchup is going to change. EJ and Christain will have another dominate perfomance and FR's offense is way too one dimensional to move the ball against MBA consistantly. MBA 24 FR 0 This is MBA's year
  9. MUS by 7+ The real Ryan has come out these last two weeks, and they are still beat up from their poundings.
  10. With this game, MBA and BA have seperated from the pack. Clearly #1 and #2 and with FR being speculated at #3 after being thrashed by both. Either BA or MBA should win state.
  11. BA will win this in the same fashion MBA did last friday. FR is good this year, both BA and MBA are great.
  12. I'm pretty sure if they held every play, the refs would have noticed. MBA's O line is the best in the division and no one can deny that. Accept the loss, don't bring anyone down anyone on an internet forum. Telling Preston to show some class and then calling out two 17 year olds on the internet. Real cool man.
  13. MBA handled Ryan with relative ease. Vinsang + Waddey played exceptional and Wise did very well at QB. Preston Bailey showed why he got a full ride to UT by absolutely obliterating whoever lined up in front of him. Good win for the big red!
  14. MBA has easily manhandled Ryan every year but last, when they still won without a quarterback and key RB and every other possible position injuries. Last year Waddey, a RB, lined up at QB every play and would take a snap and either run left, right, or up the middle. Back on topic to this years game, MBA will win by 10+. Their line is too strong on both sides and their defense won't allow more than 10 pts. Wise, Bartholomew, and Vinsang will put up points for MBA.
  15. I have a feeling EHS will take this one.
  16. Very modest I must say. When i played football in 6th grade, Coach Montgomery from BA took me and another one of my teamates to BA to workout with him in their new weight room. I don't know what some consider recruiting, but this was certainly an odd experience.
  17. Orleans? I'm pretty sure Tavarres was the player who got injured against MBA
  18. Alfonso Knight is their defensive leader at LB along with Jas Rader and Nate Wade at both safteys. Offensively they have Vinsang at RB, Preston at OT, Bartholomew at FB, and Andrew Harris at WR. Spencer Wise, their QB, should be back for the game. He has a cracked bone in his leg, but it cannot get any worse from playing. This should be a good, low scoring game. If MBA can jump ahead early, they should win because it seems to take CJ over 2 quarters to wear down the defense and begin to break big runs. MBA-20 BA-14
  19. preston will most likely be rotated in and out against ensworth
  20. andrew fletcher, for MBA has been solid all year long. he's only a sophmore so he will probably be going places
  21. the best example i can come up with is, a 5'10 lineman lineman who dominates in highshool will get nowhere near as many offers as a 6'5 lineman who does well in highschool but isnt a standout in every game. the 6'5 lineman will get recruited, bulked up in college and turn out to be a good collegiate player while the 5'10 player will probably get zero to no offers eventhough he was clearly a better highschool player.
  22. sure they are big time, but preston was getting offers from Michigan, Florida, etc.. basically wherever he wanted to go. I was not bashing CJ, i was just stating that people look for potential in recruiting more than just raw talent. i answered your question
  23. Your ignorance is amazing. Ben is a lot bigger than his brother was and Will did extremely well at UT. I doubt you have seen him because whether it's in person or when he's on the field, he looks like a monster compared to the people around him.
  24. Whoever said Preston and Ben aren't worthy of a scholarship to UT is ignorant and knows nothing about recruiting. Recruiting is not all about raw talent, notice Jordan of BA has not gotten nearly as many big time offers as both Bailey and Bartholomew, recruiting is also about POTENTIAL. Ben and Preston are going to get 10x stronger and better conditioned in college, which when you think about them right now, is pretty scary. Preston is not injured badly and will most likely be getting playing time and rotating in and out against EHS, but I don't think him being out would even hurt MBA as they would move Jay Cole and Scott Bubis (defensive lineman who could play offense) to offense and rotate people in and out. EHS players are suprisingly much more cocky than MBA players and it's most likely going to come back to bite them. Tavarres told MBA students that if they get the first kickoff that he guarentees a return for a touchdown. Confidence is a good thing but a statement like that is absurd. This game will be a good start to a fantastic rivalry. MBA wins 24-10 by shutting down big plays which is what EHS lives off of.
