  1. Jacksonsun says he should play next week.
  2. Both defenses played fairly well, but special teams was the difference. I believe three of Brighton's four touchdowns were a result of a great field position from blocked/fumbled punts by the punter. Hardin County's QB was did not play in second half due to injury and you could tell because they could not move the ball in the second half. With the score tied at 14 at the half, what looked to be a close finish turned into a big second half for Brighton and a big win for the Cards.
  3. I wish to remain anonymous. Please do not reveal my identity or should I say stop being a "rat!" haha. I say Hardin Co. probably wins this game, but I'm predicting a close game to the end. I'd like to see that HUGE crowd from Hardin Co. go home disappointed! lol P.S.- Get dunked on by Patrick Chewing
  4. Utfan you make some valid points in your arguments, but don't overlook the Cards. They will come in ready to play with their playoff hopes on the line. Last year I remember hearing that Hardin Co. changed their entire defensive scheme the week before the game in order to try to stop the Brighton passing game. That plan backfired and Brighton ran all over them. I am curious to see what the defensive game plan will be for Brighton this year. One weakness Brighton does have is their secondary. So Hardin Co. could do some damage in the passing game.
  5. I have not seen melrose play, so I have no idea how good they are. But judging by the past, I'd still say Melrose has the advantage. I'm not sure if Brighton can win this one, but it being played at home should make it closer than if it was at melrose. What kind of offense and defense does Melrose have?
  6. I hope Brighton can represent region 7 well. I think us playing at home is a big advantage because it is clear we play much better at home. I've also heard Jackson will very likely be back under helm.
  7. You stated earlier your defense struggled greatly against Brighton and Liberty. What makes you think the outcome will be any different tonight against the best offense in the region and possibly in the state? Just curious?
  8. Brighton came to play tonight. Potter looked good, and now Brighton gets to host a first round playoff game. Who will they play?
  9. Brighton big winners over Liberty! Very surprised, but happy. Second place in the region behind Henry Co. is not a bad regular season. First round home game! GO CARDS!
  10. Yeah he is a really good guy. Its hard to believe the difference one player has seemed to make on this team. Through the first 5 games with him, they looked really good. Since Jackson's injury, they look average at best. I don't think this region is one of the strongest in the state, but Henry Co. is a force and Liberty, Brighton, and Hardin Co. are all pretty good teams. The bottom three are fairly weak.
  11. Brighton wins 28-6. Neither team looked particularly good. Brighton has a long way to go in one week to be able to compete with Liberty.
  12. I respect your pick of JCM winning, but did anyone think you would actually pick Brighton to win? You clearly have some hard feelings towards the Cards.
  13. I think it will be close. I think Brighton is going to have to rely on the running game much more for the remaining of the season. They will not have the success in the passing game they had early in the season.
  14. Its okay because you guys will not beat them, and no matter how overrated we are-we still beat Hardin Co.!
  15. Your time against Henry Co. will come.
  16. Good game HC, Brighton was clearly overmatched.
  17. I agree that the rankings don't really matter. However, Brighton is in the same boat as Henry Co. as being labeled with a soft schedule. Henry Co, however, has proven itself on the state level by going deep into the playoffs the past two seasons. If Brighton could go on the road and play a good game against Henry Co. it would help prove that Brighton is one of the top teams in the state in 4A. I also agree that the score might not do justice because Henry Co. is extremely talented. I hope Brighton comes to play and continues to get better throughout the season no matter what the outcome. It would be huge for Brighton to finish in the top 2 of the region and host a playoff game. I hope both teams have an injury free game tonight and good luck Cards!
  18. I'm hoping Brighton plays a good game and proves they are worthy of being ranked highly in the state.
  19. I'm not exactly sure how his running game is. I haven't seen him run much, but then again he hasn't had much experience. I doubt there will be a big crowd from Brighton, but I'm sure there will be no problem filling the stands up in Henry Co.
  20. He is the senior running back. He plays DB too. We have a couple other good backs also.
  21. Chris Bradley, one of our RBs ran in the last TD, even though Potter, the sophomore Qb, converted a key pass on 4th down on the final drive. I think he will be a good QB in the future, but he is young and not as good as Jackson at this time. He has a good arm like you stated, but in the games I have seen him play he doesn't look particularly comfortable. I think he will continue to get better as the season goes on. This game will be an extremely tough test for him, but could make him a much better QB for the rest of the season.
  22. I am telling you right now that this team is not as good without Jackson. He was also one of their best defensive players. I think traveling all the way to Paris will play a role in this game too. I hope Brighton has a good week of preparation and is ready to go Friday night.
  23. Well I didn't jump on any bandwagon and if Hardin's QB went down at the beginning of a game Im sure they wouldn't play their best either. I'm not making excuses because Munford stepped up and played a tough game. Brighton is still a pretty good football team even though next week might get ugly.
