Have you made it farther in the playoffs than this year? Is your school not very old? These are all truths. Another truth was that DCA did dominate the game whether you want to believe that or not. Was your potent offense not hit in the mouth all night and held to 12 points not done all year I think? And did your D not get carved up and gave up more than they had allowed all year? Another truth other than this year, have you not lost pretty much every year to SC or not? Seriously man no disrespect at all. Take your great season and cherish it because I don't think there will be many more for the dragons thats all I was saying. Leave it at that, your team and kids had a wonderful season but it was short lived and probably not going to be a constant thing you see year in and out. But I am sorry if you felt like I was bashing your kids it was not meant that way. I am sorry but everything I stated was truth. You can't bash DCA for losing to Alcoa. Who can beat them other than Maryville? No one is the answer. You also couldn't bash them because they beat you. The only people that have a place to bash DCA would be ALcoa and CPA the only 2 losses for the Cats this season. Your Dragons had a great year again and lets let by gones be by gones ok.

You also have no clue as to who I am. And kids from DCA don't get on here they have let their ablities do the talking all year. And to respond to a response from you. You lose a lot of kids after middle school and even before because of not liking football and they tend to find excuses for not playing instead of just saying, "I don't like it, its not for me, I've only played up until now because of my Dad" and probably because of people I am sure like yourself that feel they know more than the men that have been doing it successfully for 20 or 30 years and try to coach way out of you league from the stands.(One of those my sons not getting a fair shake on another team guys that forms his own travel team I am sure)(High school football is much tougher than Pop Warner). You were the one that said kids left because of the coaching and the post was ill timed even if you thought it was true. I have not looked like a fool at all. I don't get on here and post what others have said to me. I only root for my team make sure no one down grades them with out their fans putting up a fight for them, voice my opinions and leave it at that and definitely I am not going to second guess men that have been doing it successfully a lot longer than you or I (on a public forum), or at least me for you I am not sure. The only two things I have said that were not positive for our team this season was not going on the forth downs last night and how we possibly got beat up front last night and that is all. The only thing that is right in that thread is the not going for it on 4 down a couple of times. Who are you coach30 and why do you feel you are a DCA supporter. You are as bad as ASBY69 when it comes to second guessing or "monday morning quaterbacking" and when a so called athlete tells you they are not playing football because they don't like the coaches that means they are scared when it comes to football but believe what you want. I think you are ridiculous. And you are not a coach and have no clue so don't put it in your name. And DCA's first threat this year was the pass and the run grew stronger each and every week due to the threat of the pass and if you don't believe that you have lost your mind. And the coaching situation at DCA is fine they were prepared. I just think there are always a couple of fans at the end of the year that show their true ignorance. And they are usually the ones that put coach in their name on here. If I had to guess youve had some success playing football on playstation 2 with your kids if youre a parent and if not then you have had success playing it with your buddies and you think you are now a coach because you can light up the scoreboard on NCAA08! And in high school probably used the excuse, "I am not playing because I don't like the coaches that the school has"! Even if that school's head coach is in the top ten of winningest coaches of all time in the state. Sounds like a great excuse doesn't it. And don't say that its not the head, its the asst. coaches because they are class acts as well. I guess DCA would have done better if you would have had the head set on last night come one tell all the true DCA fans who you are so we can know who a real coach is!

You need to figure out what to do with open zoned schools then too if you are going to remove private schools. There is a rub there for sure.

Asby69 understand this. I can take it fine and dish it out much better because I have a footing to stand on. Your school's team is not a football program. It's a door mat and has been since your school has been around. It's an old school and it has taken you this long just to get to the quarter finals. That is not a tradition but a "johnny come lately" and until you have a gold ball or even a silver ball in your case shut your mouth. You got lucky one year, had a bit of success and now feel like you can hang with teams that have tradition, such as Alcoa, DCA, and Goodpasture. See bud these are schools that have been to the dance a time or two and have won it and lost it. Your school is a flash in the pan, a one hit wonder that will be back to being a door mat for your region and SC year after year. Quit talking and be happy you got out of the cellar for one year and pray you don't fall back in it next year. DCA will still be winning and gettting to the playoffs each and every year in a much tougher region than yours my friend. How do I know, DCA has only been in 2a what 3 years and all ready won their region, gone to the semis, and check how many years they have been in the playoffs, 20 straight and counting, 3 states and 2 runner ups. What do you guys have and second round play off lost and a purple and yellow dragon. Put the dragon in your trophy case for a while because that was your mvp the night we were there. Alcoa was better and would be better probably no matter how many times we play them. But guess what? Well, its here the eve before the huge came between the 3yr defending 2a state champs the Alcoa Tornadoes and the DCA Wildcats. I have to say this week's threads about this game have been great and to be honest they have not been hateful or off color in any way other than that ASBY guy, everyone has been respectful to the other team and has just rooted for their Team. I will say I can not wait to make the drive up I 40 to see this game. I will be honest I am just glad I will not be on the side lines for either team this week. There will be hard hitting, big plays, ups and downs and unfortunately there has to be a winner and a loser. But that is sports right? I just think that the true winners in this game will be the fans because it should play out to be one tremendous game on both sides. GOOD LUCK TO DCA and I HOPE ALL PLAYERS STAY INJURY FREE. Heart is exactly what wins ball games TGOLD. You can have all the talent in the world (New York Yankees) and not win a thing. Heart is what drives those players to be stronger faster and play as one for their team and when you tired in the forth when your speed and strength is gone what do you pull from? That's right your heart. I am not saying that Alcoa doesn't have all of these things I am just saying so do the boys in blue yellow and white. And that is why any thing can happen. GO DCA. Heart. They have over achieved all year if you ask me and its because their Seniors have miles and miles of heart. They play for 48 minutes each and every week. They may not be the fastest or the strongest but they play excellent technique. They play together as one and with more heart than any other team they have played this year. GO DCA!

Believe me my friend they know exactly how good Alcoa is and that DCA will definitely be the underdog. But you have to still be hopeful and determined to get it done and DCA is very capable of the issuing the upset Friday if they take care of the ball and a couple of things go their way. Well first of all all of the kids that are playing for DCA this year have been there from 1st grade on. So if you are saying that DCA pays for their athletes to go to school you have lost your mind. And if you feel that private schools should be in 11a where should open zoned schools be playing?

Yes sir they do have an OL and DL and a darn good one on both sides of the ball I would say, but that thread was just talking about skill players and anyone that knows football can see that if the skill players can gain those kind of yards must have some men up front in the trenches blowing huge holes and giving all kinds of time. I just assumed they would know that. I am sorry for not mentioning the beef up front. Those guys come to play every week and have done a great job. Go DCA!

Ok, now let me give you DCA's OFFENSE. First you got #21 a 6'0 185 pound back that runs a true 4.5. Definitely should be a big recruit. He has 1600 yards and 20 something rushing TDs I think with a 8.5 yard a carry average. He also has 6 receiving TD's. And plays a tenacious lock down CB. Then you have #14 a 5"10 175 pound QB that is pretty quick and elusive himself and can throw it all over the yard. He has 2300 yards and 26 TD's with only 9 ints and is third in the state. He has broken DCA's all time TD record for a single season and career and is less than 200 yds from breaking the all time career yards. I think not only will #21 be the best back you have seen all year, #14 will also be the best QB you have seen all year except for the one you have taking snaps for you. He has anchored DCA's offense all year with the help of #21. Then you have FB #36 a 6'2 195 pound bust you in the mouth on both sides of the ball player. Then you have # 7 as receiver when need a big play he is there. A top ten receiver in the state with yards. Then you have #22 6'4 also a top 25 receiver in the state. Then you have #84 also a good solid receiver that if hadn't been for injury and cramps early in the season would have been a top 25 receiver in the state. The you have TE #35 a solid guy for short yardage plays with good hands. Also a guy that will be doing the banging on the other side of the ball. And also don't forget DCA has had to play all four quarters due to their tough region a lot of games this season. How do you think that will play on Alcoa. They have been able to rest in the last 24 minutes of most games they have played this year. Are they conditioned is all I am asking? Also there was thread about how coaching is better in Alcoa. DCA's Head coach is in the top ten of winningest coaches of all time in the state. And they have been in the playoffs something like 20 straight years with 3 state titles and 2 silver balls as well. So believe me they are well coached. This game on paper should be a barn-burner and I don't think the young lads will let us down on the field. Go DCA play like you have played all year!!

My point exactly why are you still talking then. If this thread is for Alcoa and DCA then you need not be talking. Its funny you get pounded then want to hop on that band wagon and talk like you are Alcoa's players agent. My question is this? If you would have beat DCA would you still have fallen in love with Alcoa this week? No, the answer is no. So why do it now? Believe me DCA knows that this game is going to be toughest game of the season and by far the best opponent they have seen. I looked up YAI and DCA's average points scored and points allowed through 12 games. Here are the results; York DRAGONS: Points Allowed: 12 Points Scored: 29.7 DCA Wildcats: Points Allowed: 12 WELL DCA KEPT THERE END OF THE BARGAIN UP DIDN'T THEY! Points Scored: 29.75 So, if we go by these stats, it should be a defensive game of great proportion. Should make for a heck of a game on the Mountain!! I DONT THINK THAT HAPPENED ON YOUR SIDE OF THE BALL! (But 1 out of 2 Teams playing isn't bad) Ain't gonna happen. Especially at home in the Dragon Pit. Ok, First of all lay off of Alcoa's fans about being cocky. They're not being cocky they are being confident and until someone knocks them off the top of the 2a mountain which no one has done that yet, they can say whatever to whoever! All I will say about the game friday night against Alcoa and Dca is don't right it off just yet as a blowout. I looked at the Tennessean for stats and DCA has some players. First of all you have #21. He is 6th in the state in rushing with 1674 yds and 20 TDS and is listed at 6'1" 180 and he is also in the top 75 for receiving with 369 YDS and 6 more scores. Then you have DCA's QB #14 He is 2nd in the state for passing with 2203 YDS and 26 TDS and has been in the top five QB's all year. He is listed at 5'10" 170 so the small stature comment seems a bit funny. Then you have #7, a receiver that has racked up 626 YDS and 10 TDS and is in the top 20 in receiving yards this season. They also have #22 that is in the top 25 with 592 YDS. Now, I am not saying that DCA is going to match up equally at all with Alcoa because everyone knows they are a great team with tons of weapons, but I will say that DCA will be there on Friday night with all 12 cylinders firing as well and that is why you play the game. I know that responses to this tab are going to say things about Cobb and all the other threats that Alcoa has and I believe they are wonderful players, I just didn't want DCA to go un-heard on here and for everyone to know they have more than just one threat. Even though that one threat is a darn good one DCA has been the most balanced team in region 5 and I would go as far to say at least in the mid state. And to answer the Dragon fan that says #21 is all DCA has its just not true. He was however more than you could handle, but he does have a great supporting cast right down to the front line blocking for him and the QB that gets it to not only him but the other dangerous receiver threats. Good luck to both teams next Friday and my prediction is the team that has the ball last prevails.

DCA did barely beat a bledsoe Co team in the first round you are right. Then what did they do? The answer is hung 42 up the next week. You can not judge a high school game by what teams did the week before. High school football is too much like a rollercoaster from week to week. This game will come down to whoever has the ball last imo.

You know all this week there has been so much smack about this and that or who beat who all ready and trash talk about portables and field houses! Well, I will say DCA throws one heck of a party in their portables after an upset like that one they just served up, AND THERE WASN"T EVEN ANY CROW! (BUMMER) I am not going to talk trash because I don't need to. I believe I have 35 reasons not to right. Okay, enough with that. Look the honest thing is you have to cheer and hope for the underdog to pull it off sometimes, even if the underdog is your team. That is what makes sports so exciting and keeps you wanting to come back. My only question I guess is, when should the signs have come down Goodpasture at half time or right before that pick in the endzone. I don't know but it seems to me that signs from the past might not be such a good motivator but I could be wrong. And yes your are right DCA doesn't have a $500,000 field house and yes we have portables but you know what else we got that GHS doesn't? A WIN!!! and I think we will be just fine with that for now!!
