  1. LHS 24-20 HHS 38-10 WHHS 34-14 GHS 31-14 WC 23-17 MJ 27-16 HC 34-27
  2. I'm not taking up sides with Chickhot but was wondering that if you can predict the near future if you ever thought about picking the winning numbers in the power ball? Going to some horse races? Does Shafer or Rucker middle schools play against Wilson County middle schools or anyone outside of Sumner County?
  3. MJ has a lot of improvement to do (especially) in the interior lines if they are to make it as far as they have the last couple of years. They won 14-0 in the jamboree but didn't look impressive. There were alot of dropped passes/bad passes that bailedthe defense out. The offense line/ends had way too many holding calls. The O-line got blew up on the 4th and 1 at the goal line. Lets go BEARS!
  4. Do you know who our opponent is and what time we play in Hartsville Sat? will our Freshmen team be there?
  5. Hey Kisler, was unable to attend the MJ game and hoping for some info. I thought the CRHS game was a good test for us early on.
  6. I completely agree. Will he have enough left in the 4th quarter if they need that game winning drive?
  7. Thanks for the update. Great to hear about the freshmen team and hope it can translate into a perfect season for them. That has always been an issue with MJ only having a few with decent size. I wouldn't mind seeing size across the line like a Whitehaven each and every year.
  8. You can always tell when the season gets close. The hostility goes up several notches. Spot the ball already! This year is going to be exciting in 9-AAA. Alot of question marks from top to bottom. Go BEARS!
  9. Sounds promising Kisler. Thanks for the update.
  10. MJ lost their starting backs and top receiver so the extra reps can only be a positive for our QB that is only a Jr.
  11. The point I was getting at was about what you reaffirmed. Why would Coach R. P. want to go to a Sumner County school when they don't get full support (from the county) like a MJ or a Rutherford County school. GHS does have 3 titles from way back and their record against MJ is incredible (A lot of close and exciting games that GHS won).Has GHS ever lost to MJ 2 years in a row? Nothing last forever but i'm going to enjoy it while I can. Just like GHS fans still enjoy talking about their 3 state championships from a long time ago. Sometimes you can read into what people put on here and take it the wrong way. That is understandable, but you've not only got on here and spun things around you've also added things on here I never mentioned. Example-I mentioned TC but never mentioned Stewarts Creek. Good luck to the Wave this year (except against the BEARS of course)
  12. Did I state anything about the end of the world for GHS? No! Did I state decline? Yes! The early exit 2 years ago in the playoffs, bad season last year, this year probably a little better than last year but probably not much. That would be considered a decline. I was actually bragging about how GHS would fill the home side and a lot of the visitor's side in the past, but that has declined over the last couple years. Quit making excuses for your loss to MJ 2 years ago.You lost! For you to make the statement about "just wait for our Freshmen and 8th graders" and to go all the way back to the glory days of championships must mean one thing. A decline recently.I stated that the upgrade was fresh paint. Care to share of any others? I would like to see better games between the Wave and the Bears like the past and not like last years. Have a wonderful day.
  13. I wasn't really even thinking about the visiting team's fans. I've been to a few GHS games years ago and always remembering that it was hard to find a seat because of the GHS fans filling their side and also taking 1/2 to 2/3rds of the visitors side. That's not the case here recently. Win and your large gate problems will be gone. Ticket prices and food cost the same for Gallatin fans and their visitors. Get back to the glory days and then yall will fill the stadium with Gallatin fans alone. As much as I've disliked (and continue to dislike)GHS over the years I think it's sad to see the decline of a once proud and football power like GHS. The MJ vs GHS was always the game to go see. That isn't the case anymore.
  14. And your point is? I know the YellowJackets don't want to face MJ anytime soon. The 1st quarter MIGHT be close.
  15. Didn't they have an outstanding freshmen team last year?
  16. Don't you find it sad that they have to schedule T.C. to have a huge gate? Times have certainly changed at GHS.
  17. Why would R Perry want to take a step backwards and to go to GHS (5A) or SCHS? To run a successful wing-t takes a lot of discipline. Something that has been lacking at GHS for several years. There is a lot more support/money going into athletics at MJ than any of the Sumner County schools. Example; SCHS can't get the county to build them a field house because the lack (or supposed lack) of money. GHS big upgrade to their stadium was some fresh paint a couple years ago. Wouldn't make any sense for him to go to a Sumner County school. Rutherford County school maybe? I think with his set back (health) and new position he's got it pretty good where he's at.
  18. Continued prayers for his full recovery. Good luck to Coach T and the BEARS on a great season.
  19. Whatever he wants to do with the football team.
  20. Hope all came out injury free from the Black/Gold game.
