The Devils went down to Pactolus, they were lookin for a game to steal they were in a bind cause they would have to confine the Rebs, or they would run at will. In case you didn't know it we're pretty good players too and if you care to take a dare we will make a bet with you. Now you play pretty good football, Rebs but give the Devils their due they'll bet who gets to go and move on down the road cause they think their better than you. It is with bitter sweet feelings that I type this post; As I sat in death valley Friday night I watched General Robert E. Phillips and his Johnny Rebs ambush the boys from Troy, at the same time I listened to the Admirals battleship sink my mighty Indians longboats I was happy to see the Rebels repersent Kingsport with a big win. Now those same Rebels must face a new challenge they must now try to defeat a former foe, except this time on thier home battlefield, thats how I see this game a "battle to the death". Two teams enter only one will advance, again I will be in attendance to see if "The General" and his Johnny Rebs can conquer yet another army of resistance. I have watched many games this high school season, but this time of year is so thrilling and also so saddening so me, some players will continue with thier season some will end this friday so enjoy your week and your Thanksgiving, then come friday be ready to play like it is the last high school game you will ever play because for some it will be! First of all to all the Indians great run, great season! You guys provided all us fans with some great moments and great highlights! I hope that everyone will continue to work hard in the classroom and all the underclassmen keep working in the weightroom as well. All the parents of these kids should be very proud no matter how much playing time they saw or not. Each and everyone of these kids worked hard in practice everyday they gave it thier all, the reason the kids that started got better was a direct result from those that didn't pushing them in practice, if those non-starters wouldn't have practiced hard then the starters wouldn't have had to either. But as you can easily see the kids did get better so a big THANK YOU to all the Indians no matter what role you played, you did contribute to this amazing season! To the seniors: I hope and pray that you get what ever your heart desires and may you go where ever your dreams take you. May you always remember your career here at DB with fond memories,Congratulations you have now joined the rest as former players of the "maroon and gray"! Am I on a football message board or is this a checkers message board? Last time I watched a football game there were fumbles and INTs, that is part of the game, is it not? It is the offense's job to take care of the ball and score and the defense's job to try in take it away from the offense and give it back to thier offense or even better score themselves. So why all this talk about the Rebels CREATING turnovers? Great thread! Now if it were to rain Friday night, who would you give the advantage or the disadvantage to? Just looking for others opinions, I don't think it is suppose to, but what if?
