Come on Deluxe you can't really mean that! Games can always be closer than what the score would appear, and in that same sense games may not be as close as the score shows either! There are times when late in the game a team may just fall apart and the other team scores two quick TD's after being up by 7 already now that game was closer than it appears on the scoreboard, or you could be up by 21 and domminating the whole game they score against the 2nd teamers, then kick an onside kick, recover it then throw a hail mary for another touch as time expires, you only won by 7 but you handed it to them all night! Hey DB TP, are those bleachers up near the fence or more back toward the score board? I hope back we usually stand along the fence in front of the score board and that wouldn't make some people happy!

Whew! You guys have been busy I didn't realize how far behind I had gotten! I look for this to be an old fashion knock out drag out, Tn. high's def. pretty stout and Coach Watson's def. always ready for a challenge. I do believe CS will get a lion's share of yardage and find the zone a couple of times, but I also think that the vike's D will stiffen and stall a few of our drives inside the 20. As for the viking's O I think they find the promised land once that's right only one time early before Coach Watson tightens the screws down! So my pick is Indians 17 Vikings 7! IS IT THURSDAY YET? Don't be so quick to label this person as a South fan, as I spoke to quite a few South fans and players and they were in no way looking on down the Indians nor were they thrilled about drawing us in the first round of the tourney just as plowboy deluxe refered to earlier. They definatly gave us all the respect that we had earned! As far as him being a "Hill " fan well that's where I would put my money or an outside shot from Farragut maybe! Did anyone else see the comment from one of the "Hill's" players made about trying not playing more than 5 innings before they reached sub-state? If you noticed, as the year unfolded, our tribesmen got better with every game! They will be fine in the future, one sub-par year isn't going to sink the ship. We were very young this year, not making excuses because everyone in the conf. seemed to be having a youth movement, I can't remember the last time so many freshmen were playing varsity and not just filling up a spot on the roster as a pinch runner, but really contirbuting! It seemed like every team found a gem or two in thier freshman class as did we. Had Millsap been heathly all year who knows what could have happened, everything seemed to start coming together once we got him back, he is going to be some kind of leader for the Indians for the next three years, then the Bellamy kid did a good job in center, and Seabolt even had a good year with limited playing time. The future will be alright in their hands. Man do you know how moronic you sound? You should stick to basketball or maybe not, you will be interested to know that DB's basketball program has more wins than any team in america (you did say TN sports history), I would guarantee that maryville would not win the 5a state title! I am willing to go as far to say that when they are moved up to 5a that thier win streak will come to an end!

I did hear that a "stud" has transfered to DB and that he does play QB! Hadn't heard about the other yet, but will ask around.

The fact is the majority.........., never get to play, then where in heck do they (the colleges) get thier players from then? I know they get juco players, transfers and walk-ons (usually only have a small % of a chance), but to say the majority is ludicrous, also you are saying that D1 college coaches cannot gauge talent.

After reading about all the respect and class on here leading up to the game, some on here have held true to thier words, others it is amazing how much people change after a win. Very sad! False! Maybe used to be that way 3 to 4 years ago, but now we have actualy lost a few to South! And what I mean by lost a few is they are staying home and not moving to the city, Also this past year we had a couple move to the county out of the city. Stacy is a great coach, and his is getting the job done over on the south side.

You are right, this jerk is in no way a South fan or even a student at South! Because if he were a South fan why would he have waited until this week to start posting, I think some of those threads during the regular season would have drawn him out before now! IMO this is probably panther08 just trying to cause a stir, check out what time he started posting on this thread, HMMM 2 minutes right after panthers last post! Just ignore him he will go away! You are probably one of few people that actually see where I am coming from on my post ALL these boys have worked hard to reach this point in thier seasons, they deserve much more respect than some are willing to give or admit. I am not sure if it is due to jealousy or lack of success, but something definately keeps them from wishing ALL these players the best! First off if you knew how to read you would have seen that I didn't say that you were bragging about Tn. High, I said you were a disgrace to thier fan base I know alot of Tn. high fans and they wish South nothing but the best, as I am sure if the roles were reversed they would be supporting you guys. The Rebs have enough of an up hill battle to fight with out people like you(from thier own conference not giving them thier support). Look at couch and cap they continue to support the Rebs, I know that it is hard to pull for some one when they have beaten you recently, but that is where CLASS shows. Secondly you must not have ever read any of my other post, I am an Indian fan through and through, but we were unable to slow down a extremly good rb(Sterling) from farragut and our road ended. But I wiil continue support any team from Region 1 that is in the playoffs, Hampton, South, and Bearden.
