  1. I watched him play AAU last summer and his competition was a lot stronger there than it is in D12. I think that AAU stuff might have helped him for now. Seth has had a good year.
  2. WC is number 2 seed not Stown. Stown plays FH Tuesday night.
  3. I'm not going to make predictions on WC players but I will on the rest of the D12 teams. Stown- I see Wright & Scott. Cwood- Montgomery, Pigg, Andrews, Ray PC-Edney & Bates Loretto-Myhan & Burkes (Glass looked good against WC) FH-Lineberry MVP- Either Wright or Edney if not Co-MVP I'm not sure how many are usually picked. These kids have caught my eye in the games with WC. I doubt all of these are picked just based on how many are chosen district wide. I figure Cwood gets 4 because of being #1 and the rest could have 2 or 3.
  4. District scoring leaders. 1. Justin Edney PC 15.6 2. Matt Lineberry FH 13.3 2. Logan Montgomery CW 13.3 4. Seth Wright ST 12.6 5. Sawyer Ray WC 11.9 6. Miles Burks Lor 11.2 7. Wesley Pigg CW 11.1 8. Weston Bates PC 10.9 9. Kelby Ray CW 10.3 9. Luke Scott ST 10.3 11. Hunter Andrews CW 9.8 12. Carson Kelly WC 9.6 12. Lane Myhan Lor 9.6 14. Renan SouZa FH 9.4 15. I'm with you here. If WC can play with MTP (MTP by 5 & 7) then I don't see MTP going very far. I haven't seen CA or Richland play but I know that they are both close to MTP. I would like to see someone from this area win it all. If it isn't someone from District 12A then someone from District 11A would be great.
  6. WC played MTP in a close game last night. MTP won by 5 but WC had chances to pull it out at the end. Both of WC losses to MTP were by 5 & 7 points. I haven't given WC much of a chance this year but 6 of their losses were Lawrence County 14- 9 in AAA (twice), Hardin County 19-3 in AAA (twice) and MTP 20- 2 in A (twice).
  7. Looks like every team in D12 that played last night lost. Stown to MTP, Cwood to CA, WC to Hardin County, FH to Hampshire. Baseball season maybe be getting very close.
  8. I thought that might have been the only shot that WC will have to beat Cwood. WC missed free throws that they don't usually miss and made a bad decision to drive with 18 seconds left and got a charge called. Had they held for last shot they had a chance to pull the upset. It would surprise me that WC will play that way as a whole again this season.
  9. I'll say WC vs Cwood and WC by 2.
  10. I really think that you are right and that is what I had in mind. I see Stown and PC as winners in the first round.
  11. I bet the girls play on Monday night and the boys will play Tuesday night then.
  12. So the district ended up? 1. Collinwood 2. WC 3. Stown 4. PC 5. Loretto 6. FH Tourney is in PC but when does it start?
  13. He is a good shooter with a nice shot but in the first WC game he missed his first 5 or 6 shots. He kept shooting until he found his stroke and ended up with something like 22 points.
  14. I haven't seen a clear cut MVP in this District. However, it will either be Edney or Wright. Both are big men with Edney being more athletic and can handle the ball. Edney is the leading scorer in the district with Wright probably the leading shot blocker. It will be interesting to see the All District team though.
  15. Cwood 9-1WC 6-4 Loretto 5-5 PC 5-5 Stown 5-5 FH 0-9 That's how I see the finish.
  16. It blows my mind that WC can beat Stown (twice) and can't beat PC or Loretto. Stown, PC & WC are not that strong and I missed the WC & Loretto game (WC flopped). I would think Loretto by 10 at least over Stown and WC/PC a toss up but PC won the first game and I thought that they were way down the list as far as teams that I've seen this year. Looks like MTP, CA & Richland are all top 10 teams in D11. I say D12 is going to struggle come tourney time.
  17. Current as of 1/24/2013 1. J Edney PC 15.5 2. M Lineberry FH 13.5 3. L Montgomery Cwood 13.3 4. S Wright Stown 12.6 5. S Ray WC 11.5 6. W Bates PC 11.1 7. C Kelly WC 10.8 8. H Andrews Cwood 10.3 9. K Ray Cwood 10.2 9. L Scott Stown 10.2 10. W Pigg Cwood 9.6 11. Z Risner WC 9.5 12. M Burks Loretto 9.2 12. L Myhan Loretto 9.2 12. R Souza FH 9.2
  18. WC coaches had a great game plan and WC players carried it out. Job well done WC. Players showed some mental "TUFFNESS" and did not let up and FINISHED. Trying not to get over excited but good win with Stown being on a roll. Keep it going WC and finish the season strong.
  19. I said that Stown would not split with Cwood and now Stown is up 1-0 so the only way out of my prediction is for Stown to sweep. Stown has to really be improving for them to now have beaten PC, Loretto and Cwood. They will probably beat WC tonight (hope I miss this too) and could finish 1 or 2 in the district. I keep hoping that WC will come together but they just have not improved very much. They are just up and down. They looked good at Clifton Friday night but it was Clifton. However, it was a lot of outside shots and not layups. That just shows me that WC could be a lot better than they are just due to a mental approach. Knowing that they would beat Clifton they turned it loose and played aggressive but when they face other teams they loose confidence and shy down. They need to get mentally "TUFFER".
  20. I don't see that happening either. Cwood is the deepest team that I've seen. They have players on the bench that could push WC to the 2nd place team if they were playing in Waynesboro. Update on Scorers. 1. Matt Lineberry FH 13.7 2. Seth Wright Stown 12.688 3. Justin Edney PC 11.917 4. Sawyer Ray WC 10.643 5. Logan Montgomery Cwood 10.467 6. Kelby Ray Cwood 9.75 7. Zack Risner WC 8.733 8. Carson Kelly WC 8.429 9. Wesley Pigg Cwood 8.333 10. Riley Brashier FH 8.3 11. Hunter Andrews Cwood 8.125 12. Nate Morrison Stown 8.059 13. Briley Glass Loretto 7.923 14. Renan Souza FH 7.75 15. Ethan Fowler Loretto 7.667
  21. Scorers update...... 1. Edney PC 12.2 2. Wright Stown 12.067 3. Montgomery Cwood 11.167 4. Ray WC 10.308 5. Ray Cwood 10.154 6. Andrews Cwood 9.538 7. C. Kelly WC 9.077 8. Bates PC 8.9 9. Risner WC 8.857 10. Glass Lor 8.643 11. Pigg Cwood 8.583 12. Fowler Lor 8.5 13. Morrison Stown 8.062 14. Robertson Cwood 7.923 15. Scott Stown 7.25 16. Jay Bevis WC 7.0 Note: Sorry, I don't have Matt Lineberry's FH but he should be around 15 points per game.
  22. Cwood beat WC like a drum Tuesday night. PC comes to WC Friday & WC goes to Loretto Tuesday so things will be some what clear by the end of next week.
  23. I was wondering what kinda ball you guys were using over there. If that had happened in WC by the time the story got around he would have hit a coach or something like that. The wall does make more since.
  24. Is he a senior? I don't remember anyone from FH scoring very much against WC earlier but WC also struggled with fouls that night. FH had something like 20 points at half and 18 was from the foul line (not exact but something like that). WC starters spent most of the night on the bench.
