  1. ms. cali lady I assume you aren't a westler and never were a wrestler but let me enlighten you... I wrestle at a school that doesn't have wrestling cheerleaders but when you wrestle a school that does have cheerleaders like frankiln ba father ryan your goal is to beat that wrestler to embaress him in front of his cheerleaders.... wrestling cheerleaders make you wrestle a little bit more confident whethere you accept it or not. now ms cali lady I hope I enlightened you...

  4. I know he would have went there had he been catholic... im not making this up d2 people he is a good friend and so is his family...... they offer more money for catholic students which is understandable because they are a catholic school. the problem is that high school is becoming as bad as college about recruiting and scholarships
  5. he wasn't catholic. the reason he didnt go to ryan was because of the fact he wasn't catholic he couldn't get as much money

  7. Some people follow their dreams; others hunt them down and beat them mercilessly into submission. Neil Kendall Always listen to the experts. They'll tell you what can't be done and why. Then do it. Robert Heinlein not on the back of any t-shirts but good motivators

  11. What a great way to end the season BCB iii.... It's been highly amusing to see you pop up with your smart but sometimes biased opinions. Thanks for the laughs RINGWORM11 (nothings wrong with third in my book, or second in yours)

  14. What's wrong with being one of Bill's best refs lol
  15. If we could get more freshman out things might be different. Were going to try and start a youth team in the spring and summer and hopefully get a middle school coach for next season. And yeah if we could get a bunch of football players out it would benefit both teams.
  16. KYLE SAUNDERS 160 AND ZACH COX 119 from smyrna...... A bunch of hard work and off-season training could put these guys over the edge
  17. Thanks rigger for the support. Hopefully our region will continue to get better and better each year.
  18. seriously chill out....from your screenname I take it you don't know much about wrestling so let me help inform you: you get better in wrestling in the offseason you wrestle different people you learn new technique you receive different coaching styles.... I wrestled hsdads son three times a week every week this summer and let me tell you he came leaps and bounds from where he was to now being a region champion.... so if you would like to rethink offseason wrestling now would be the time to do so
  19. who beat ben heacock in the region finals
  20. Boclair: Dads pin love of wrestling on their sons By DAVID BOCLAIR boclair@dnj.com The traditional picture of fathers and sons bonding through sports involves a man and his boy tossing a baseball in the back yard. For Michael Kennedy and Kyle Frazier, it was more like a series of hip tosses. Kennedy, a Blackman freshman, and Frazier, a Smyrna senior, are two of the top 171-pound high school wrestlers in the state. Each is a region champion, having laid stake to that crown at their respective meets Saturday, and thus will compete this week at the TSSAA State Championship. It's possible that they will face each other. If that's the case, their intersection will represent a sort of full-circle journey, one in which each traveled different paths from the same starting point. It began with their fathers. Kennedy smiles at the mention of his dad's influence on his undeniably promising career. "I've been wrestling a long time," he said. Bill Kennedy is the coach and director of the Sheriff's Sharp Shooters, the wrestling program which feeds the Blackman Middle School team and also competes as an AAU organization. Lessons learned The Sharp Shooters already have had a profound impact on the local and state wrestling scenes. This season Blackman High School went undefeated in region meets, won the region duals and earned a berth in the state duals for the first time with a roster that included many wrestlers developed by Kennedy and his club. On Saturday, 12 of the Blaze earned spots individually in the state meet and collectively they the won the team title in convincing fashion. If Kennedy's teaching is that effective with young men he sees only on a limited basis, it's no wonder his son already is ranked among the top five in the state for his weight class with three more years of high school competition remaining. Frazier, on the other hand, did not even compete as a freshman because he was ineligible under the TSSAA's transfer rules. It was only as a sophomore that he took part in wrestling on an organized basis for the first time. Yet he learned plenty about the sport well before then. "My dad, he wrestled in high school and he got fifth in the state of Virginia for heavyweight," Frazier said. "He was always wrestling me when I was little kid. He would beat me up pretty bad so I got good at it." Good enough, in fact, that he now has the opportunity to finish fifth in the state (or better) on his own. They might not have been exactly Norman Rockwell moments, but Michael Kennedy and Kyle Frazier prove it's not the sport that matters, it's the bond. 21. Destroy the tournament? If a kid is seeded first or last it doesn't matter. If Ziad is that good he will win no matter where he's at. A problem between the first seed and second seed will hopefully be solved in the finals and either Nat or Ziad will come out on top.
  22. Ahh finally the tables are turned. A rookie (fraziersdad171) and a veteran (ringworm11) lol. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  23. You haven't hade to go against Bill have you. I saw his top secret move against Kenny Meredith a couple years ago, the attack from behind then sit on them till they tap out. lol /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  24. My sophomore year at the Brentwood tournament i saw the McCallie coach throw the towel in on his wrestler facing Clarksville's Tom Minwell.... It was very suprising to see in the finals of such a big tournament
