The latest rumor in Hampton is that Coach Leslie Campbell will not be back next season with the Lady Bulldogs. If so, who will be next in line to take over? Should make for some interesting conversation. Any thoughts?

Breaker, sounds like you are a former player for Coach Tolley? Do you think that my assessment of him is correct? If you are a former player you can give us some insight.

I don't know if you could call him the Master or not but Coach Tolley has done a great job for many years. It is funny that you never hear his name mentioned for other jobs. Maybe they know that he will not leave his beloved Hampton. Rumor has it that this year will be his last with his second child on the way. It will be a huge loss to Hampton Basketball if he does get out, but I can not see him staying away for long, if he does.

The question should be, "Why would Coach White want to come back?" The program he built up is now in a shambles. Been to a Hampton game lately? Not a pretty sight.

It would be interesting to hear who "is" and who "isn't" playing this year.

I seriously doubt if the players of "today" could play for the coaches of "yesterday".

You are right on the money rolltideroll and dep. dog with your comments. Cloudland is very lucky to have Coach Smith, and the good thing about him is that he is not using this job as a stepping stone to another job. Maybe people won't appreciate him and the job he does until he is gone. I hope that is not the case.

I have sat quietly for a long time while some of you get on here and bash the Bulldogs and Coach Hazelwood but no longer. Deputy Dog and Coachtdog made great points, points that people should take heed to. Quicksilver don't even go there. Their talent is obvious but they have to learn to keep their composure on the floor and stop getting these needless technicals that are killing the team. Culler has played since then and has done nothing. Campbell didn't want to let his brother outdo him I guess. If you remember last year at Morristown East. When or if they ever learn to control their emotions and stop trying to look "cool" all the time then maybe they could see some extended minutes. Now I will go back into hibernation, but read with interest.

This is truly a sad situation when a handful of people can decide to do something on their own and have it impact every other sport. The school board will not intervene on any extracurricular activities, they leave it up to the Principal and Athletic Director. Obviously they agree also with this or we wouldn't be on here talking about it. I thought that something might be done about this, but I guess not. It is truly a sad day for sports in Carter Co. Watch out Cloudland, you are next.
