I do feel for the kids at SH or any other school that have to endure a season like they have had.I wish your seniors all the best after this year is over.The coach over there has hit on some bad notes and will learn in time.You guys have allways had talent and will have glory days ahead,if he is the coach or not.

Region two has a couple of teams that will be hard to beat.I'm a fan and I'll just say that there is a school in Region 1 that is pretty good right now and I wouldn't want to play Kingsport Dobyns-Bennett.

I'm going with a split,two games for each region next friday.That is a far cry from those that say region 2 will take all four games.I'm one of a several people that heard a region 2 game on the radio a few weeks back, a sweep was predicted by the region two team radio broardcaster.He said he would be ''Shocked'' if it didn't happen. I don't think TVA will have anything on him after next friday night.

DB has one of the best defenses in the state.They have a much improved and healthy offensive line as well as good athletes all over the field.The coaches are well aware that they must be able to pass against the good teams,and they work on it every day.Chris is a fine back,but they will put 7 to 9 up close to stop us.I knew we would do a much better job running the ball against weaker teams,and so did GC.He is pretty dang smart and has worked on those parts of the game that he didn't have to in the last few weeks.I will tell every one on this board,DB will not let this game be taken lightly.

Chris is way to valuable at tailback for the coaches to let him {get big },he has three more years to stay in tailback shape.They might as well let Crawford and Roop gain 50lbs, then put the three of them on the offensive line.We would be better off watching for a fake on punts and not having anyone back.

I'll have to respectfully disagree with moving CS to fullback and starting JS at tailback.I think we are set at tailback{Chris}.Why would you go backwards or might I say sideways at tailback?Use Justin on defense where he is very important.You have a true fullback backing up Lane Taylor now.You can use JS at slot,he is a great athlete.

The new visitors concession stand and rest rooms are waiting at J Fred.

That should be a great game and a big test for both teams.I'll say 31 - 21 in this first meeting.South

I agree with you about the kid..........This program or any other team shouldn't have their season taken away because a kid done something the coaches or school was not aware of. I mean,if we suited up one of our coaches who happened to play at UT and went pro{Teddie Gains}.That would be the kind of thing you can't overlook.A program can only do so much and I'm glad for the rest of Hunters Lane's players and that whole program.

It was in response to the cookie crumbles ,meaning your team may get burnt before you get a chance to beat up on the other teams in region 2. It's a first !!

I'm not the coach or in no way kin to the kid.I just noticed that he is the best return man we have.

I've just heared to many region 2 people write us off, not to give a little back.I'm well aware that the key to our season will go through the arm of Ring.Chris has helped the cause in a big way but we must be able to pass against the other regions.The coaches have done a wonderful job of making adjustments to the early mistakes and have been working on the passing game.I would still just run the play into the game,that is costing us penilties to this day.............We have been lacking at punt returns all year.We have tried Justin,Hogg and now Crawford.I would give two or three more players a chance to return punts this week,before it cost us another game .Lane done a great job on kick returns ?

One of those teams will fall a game back and down to third place this week, as long as WB wins.

There is no way WB will beat Farragut in a rematch if Farragut gets beat this week.

I think the cookie will be in the oven to long and atleast two region one teams will stand after the first round.

Good post. JC was all over us at the start of our game and DB fans were calling for the coaches head.People tend to forget these little things with a few victories.Region 2 will be a hard matchup for any team,but it wouldn't surprize me to see us win three of the opening games!

I think that it's up to what happens with CC for the last spot.If I looked at it correctly,they get beat and SC gets in with Bearden,DB and JC.

After the game last night with CC,I said SH must not have very much.Today,what SH has is nothing to loose and I'm not sure what risking any futher injuries can gain DB in this game.I think GC will do as he did last night after he sends a message to washington county.It was great to see number 30 show what he could have been doing all along.He is fast and every time he has been in a game this year or in'06, he has done well.The defense done the smart move again this week,except didn't wait until they drove the ball down the field. A four man front with #18 and #33 at linebackers.It shut them down until we gave #33 a rest and they moved the ball about 25 fast yards.

The main thing is right now,this year.South has a chance to have a special season,as does the Tribe.I enjoy reading and seeing the highlights on the South games and wish them all the best.DB has their hands full with CC tonight and SH next week.A daunting task in the future with some of the states most powerful teams, looms there for DB as well.So good luck South,bring back a championship and we will see you in the 7 on 7 next year .

I don't think it was an upset.CC had 195 yards rushing against SH. They had about twice the total yardage and about twice the yardage in penalties to over come(90 to 50}.I look for us to go back into a four man front on defense.This will be a good game to see if we can just line up and run the ball as well.I hope we get to see all the seniors play tonight,those guys have earned it.

Even if the DB faithful are calling this one in,I bet GC is singing a different song to the people that count the most.This is a playoff game,any way you want to slice it.If DB wins,they play for home field next week. If DB doesn't win,they may play for a spot in the playoffs period against SH.One day away,Roll Tribe

I don't know what they have seen in practice,but I know what I've seen in the games.When 18 and 33 were behind a four man front,they shut Karns down...........

One thing we need more then any other,is a cross over behind the school.Where the girl got hit by a car last year going to the soccer fields .We have hundreds of kids using that area in sports and band.Will it take someone importants kid geting hurt or worse?
