Seriously?

The kid has over 1,000 yards in six games, how much more do you want. We could of went out and threw 50 times against Smith and Trousdale but do you really think that's how you win games?

Thanks scoot, but the question was aimed at howdoitknow2, who hasn't seen these teams play. And I will say I do believe both Livingston and Dekalb are good teams who are capable of beating Macon but it's hard for me to believe that both are clear cut favorites. As far as this weeks game vs Greenbrier goes I think it comes down to how well we run the ball. If we can run the ball effictively and keep the chains moving on runs and are able to set up our passing game with the run then I think we will be alright. If not it could be another close one that comes down to the wire.

Tigers could of easily beaten Goodpasture then to make us 3-2 but we didn't. Just as Sycamore didn't beat us. Sure our record is 2-3 and slightly disappointing so far but the teams that beat us are some of the top teams in the state in their respective classifications, a lot of teams would be 2-3 after playing them, if not worse. I'm not ready to say the season is lost and I hope the players don't either. What makes you think Dekalb and Livingston are clear favorites over Macon anyway? The way we all played Smith County?

We've struggled to run the ball on quality defenses all year long. Hopefully it can get fixed were it can atleast be adequate.

Not much to say tonight, pretty much just got whipped. Had a couple of chances in the second half to make it a game but never could get the offense going. As the old saying goes "Maybe next year". Good game Smith.

Our defense did a pretty good job last week, pretty much kept us in that game actually. It's still not great but they did show the ability to stop some teams. I've said this before and I still believe it, our defense isn't going to set any records,but it's not as weak as some people like to think either.

Some of you Smith Countians get your feathers ruffled anytime somebody brings the dropping Trousdale thing up. Shouldn't the things that happened make you want to play them more and get some revenge instead of just dropping them?

Good post. We all know Smith will have a good defense, and Macon will have a pretty good offense. I think it will be a wash there. The question marks will be how the other side of the ball does for both teams. Can Macon slow down Smith's running game? Can Smith pass if it needs to?

You forgot to mention that wind you talk about was blowing in his face. He was normally good from about 70 out. He went to Memphis and played.

Final scores still wasn't that close no matter how you want to sugar coat it. We might, we might not, we'll find out Friday. Should be a good game either way, Macon's not exactly slouches themselves. Ha, you brought out the big spoon to stir the pot with bringing up the 03 game, heck of a game. I do have to ask though, if that game was a fluke what do you call Livingstons play-off run in 05?

You may want to go check the scores of the games Smith played Catholic. We don't have the over all talent that Catholic had during those years, not many teams do, but I don't think we need it to be able to play with Smith.

I think 2 a piece. Macon threw 1 int. and had one fumble and Sycamore threw 2 interceptions, one right before half on a heave downfield.

Macon's defense did pretty decent tonight. We'll see if they can keep it up, I think they'll be fine from here on out. We gave up alot of points to Trousdale and Goodpasture but those two teams are going to score alot of points on most teams they play. Our defense isn't going to be our strength but I don't think it's as weak as people seem to think it is.

Good job Tigers, way to find a way to win. Sycamore's defense was better than I thought it would be but Macon made the plays in the end to win it.

We beat you in 05 and 06, I think you mean 07-09,you actually had a decent team in 08 and 09. Last time though because this isn't a Macon vs Smith or Dekalb thread. Do you remember the 5 year span from 01-06? Good luck to both teams tonight. Smith, we'll see ya next week.
