  1. You remember 2010 when we beat you 55 to 13?
  2. Sarcasm. If the guys going to bring up our record he can atleast get it right.
  3. Your posts not true at all. We've beat you all twice in the last seven years.
  4. Lucky for us the play-offs don't start for another 7 weeks then.
  5. Should be a good game, if Macon's defense can get a couple of early stops I look for them to control the game and come away with a win. The defense hasn't looked so good the past couple of games but they've played a couple of the better offensive teams they will play this year so I'm thinking things will look a little better this week, hopefully. I'll got with Macon 31 Sycamore 21
  6. This, for the most part, I can agree with.
  7. You can if you want but unless you find a year were Macon played Gordonsville and Jo Byrns in the same season it won't do much good for the debate me and swanson was having.
  8. We can also go back to the 2009 season and see how Gordonsville did against South Pitt or even go back to 2008 when both played Trousdale and see the comparitive scores if that's what you want to do. Your arguement about Gordonsville being on another level just doesn't hold water.
  9. With all that being said I doubt that Gordonsville would of wanted to play us week zero anyway. They would of started the season with Macon,Smith,FCS and Trousdale. That would give them four tough games to start the season off with. And you are right Gordonsville does play three higher caliber teams than Jo Byrns usually does but they also consistantly lose to those three teams though. If Jo Byrns played Gordonsvilles schedule they would go 7-3 and lose to South Pitt in the play offs just like Gordonsville does. If you wanted to say Gordonsville and Jo Byrns were on the same level I would agree but saying Gordonsville is on a different level is a pretty big stretch.
  10. Gordonsville would of been a good team to play but it's not like you can just go out and cherry pick teams. For all I know we might could of picked up Gordonsville but Jo Byrns is who we played and they've been just as succesful and probably even more so than Gordonsville the past few years.
  11. We did for a few years........how did that turn out for ya?? Y'all schedule homecoming games I think unless you want us to do that for you. Yelp, SC is your measuring stick. Otherwise, you couldn' t / wouldn't say.....at least we play TC, or SC has never beat Pemberton. You compare everything you do to SC. Heck, SC was the only win you had last year that's y'all hang your hat on. You whole season was " we beat Smith County". So, still believe SC isn't your measuring stick?? Still stirring the pot I see. Of course we are going to talk about beating Smith, it's a rival game for us and that's how it goes. Trousdale use to rag on you all about beating you to and I don't think Smith would be considered a measuring stick for them at all. You're just trying to put Smith up on a pedestal and that pedestal isn't near as high as you like to think it is.
  12. Are you talking about 2010? SC was MC homecoming game.

Macon beat Greenbrier 2-1 on a walk off 2 run homerun in the bottom of the 7th.
  14. I could get on here and say I told you so to some of the Smith Co. faithful and bring up old posts and rehash on them a little, but I won't. Macon did what I thought they could do once they put it all together and played a complete good game. Congrats Tigers on the win. Maybe next year Owls.
  15. It's got mixed results so far. Should be able to determine more as the season progresses.
  16. I'm not saying Macon strikes fear in anybody. Macon can do some good things they just need to learn to put together a full game. Hopefully it will come this week.
  17. We'll see. Smith's got some impressive defensive numbers so far but I'm not sure you all have faced any offenses that really put the fear into anybody.
  18. Smith hasn't faced an offense like Macon's yet either.
