  1. Pujo, I think hate is too strong a word. I would rather call it competitive animosity. Most of the people including myself who are sometimes pretty harsh in their postings doesn't mean we feel that way 24 hrs. a day. I wish the kids at every school the best of luck in their lives. But when they come to play us, ohhh boyyy, whooooooooooooooooooooo!!
  2. Whoooooooooo!! Its football time and there ain't no chill'n this time of year. When the pads go to poppin' the Maroon will be on their heels cause the Highlanders are gonna roll over them. Whooooooooooo!! /ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" />
  3. When the season starts, Elizabethton will be typical Elizabethton. They will get run off the field. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  4. Whooooooooooooo!! Where's that BigBlue36 at? /ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" /> Is the old King gonna have to talk some legendary smack to get'em to come out and play? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Hope everythings going well in Eagleville.
  5. I agree, if coach Lunsford finds out about the postings of this kid, he may be in trouble. I know when he was at Cloudland, he didn't like players talking on the internet.
  6. Bulldog50, the way the economy is, I don't think anyone around here is eating from a silver spoon. Probably a poor choice of words but anyway coach Lunsford coaches tough. I hope you guys can take it because one day he may come out there nice and the next day be in a P#ssed off mood. Believe me, he can make you pay dearly if you don't give the effort he expects. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  7. Don't put much stock in passing league games. I always thought the only good it does is keep the skill people in shape. Get back with me when the pads start to pop, whooooooooooooooo!! /ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" />
  8. There were not as many silver spoons at Cloudland. There are too many kids eating out of silver spoons these days.
  9. Miller is the QB and he has experience and a dandy arm. Hampton's 5-5 record gets trash talked because of all the garbage and hype that came from certain posters last year. A lot of people thought that Hampton would still run over everybody. Well, they thought wrong. Cosby dominated Hampton's line and ran for well over 300 yards. When a team runs for 300 yards, they are whipping your @#$ on the line of scrimmage. Thats the bottom line. And after that we had to listen to all the whining and excuses. On a positive note, I've not heard as much of that this year. Oh, Lord maybe we will all have a chance! /ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" />
  10. Eagle, I can't wait to come down and see you guys again. Its been a long time comin' and the youngin's are almost walking. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> Talent-wise, Cloudland has the tools. You will find out who Houstma is. He went from a boy last season to a man this season. He is a tall and powerful reciever who is a mean blocker too. He also plays defensive end if that tells you anything about his physicality. Your no. 5 is a good athlete, but our DB's didn't turn around and look for the ball last year. I guess they should have learned that in middle school. Anyway, I look for an exciting season and I hope we can challenge Hampton. Beating a Mike Lunsford coached team is a tremendous challenge for teams around here. The man has been a blessing to this community.
  11. Yes, we are loaded with talent. We are also loaded with undiscipline. The team I saw in the blue and gold scrimmage better not rear its ugly head or it will be a long season. Hopefully, they will fix the fumbling, off-sides and personal foul penalties, the helmet slinging, the show-boating, and the fighting among themselves. Coach will have his hands full with this bunch. They need to learn to channel that aggression and harness it into a well-oiled fine tuned machine. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  12. Morristown East and Volunteer are weaker than pee. You can't use the big schools up here for a measuring stick. When are you guys gonna learn that? I remember when you all waxed Johnson Co. and said you all would go stomp Oneida and barely come away with a 14-12 win. Learn from the past.
  13. It was the underdog guy on the last page. He said Cloudland would finish last or next to last. It was just a smart eleck remark. No offense to Hampton or the bulk of their fans. They should win the region. They are pretty loaded.
  14. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Your still just a youngin' I graduated college before Byrd was even in jr. high. Man, I wish our part of the country could compete with yall. I do remember the feud of 2005 that had Lander fans standing on Trousdale's side. I even came close on the score prediction and about got beheaded for making the prediction. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
  15. If anybody has a right to talk big, its you guys. Your stats speak for itself. Here I make a comment about grilling a deer steak and enjoying some football and someone from Hampton posts about stomping everybody. Its really got old for the last several years. I thought maybe losing to West Greene, Cosby, and HV would humble them a little. At least AT disappeared from the boards. Maybe there is hope for him yet. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  16. I'm taking into consideration that I am talking to a child, but even most Hampton folk will tell you that the 2001 Cloudland team is untouchable by any team that Hampton, HV, or Cloudland has fielded in recent years. Most people have forgotten how good Mark Byrd was. Little Luns was a very good QB but even he will tell you that Mark was in a league of his own. And Keith Buchanun would be playing on Sunday if he would have had two good legs. There will never be another beefy boys like the ones in 2001. I hope Hampton does well this year. They will have their work cut out for them in the 2-A playoffs as will the Landers in 1-A. Our Highlanders are no powerhouse by any means but I look for our team to be better and to challenge for the conference.
  17. What's worse is they didn't learn from the 49-0 smashing they got from Greenback. Then they give Morristown East who is known mostly for being a cellar dweller in their region a good scrimmage and lo and behold their world beaters again. Go figure. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />
  18. There's an epidemic been going on at Hampton since 2005. Its called chest-pounding syndrome. There seems to be more trash talkers down there every year. They went 5-5 last year and you would think they were the champions of the world. Then I heard yesterday that Lunsford said this was his best line ever. How easy it is to forget how good the 2001 Cloudland line was. Hampton hasn't fielded any teams in recent years that could come even close to that team. Slow down on the chest pounding or it could be 5-5 again. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  19. Looks like some differing opinions on the finishing order of this conference. Defensively, the Landers will be tougher. It will be hard to run the ball on Cloudland this year. They are manning up and playing their positions instead of relying on thunder and lightening. Can they stop Hampton? I guess we'll find out whose got what as the season progresses. I'm ready to fire up that grill. Whoooooooooo!! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  20. I bout forgot how to log in! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Got to see Robbie's new baby this morning at church. Looks just like him. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
  21. I hope the Hampton people don't make the same mistake that the Roan Mt. people made. Its amazing how the ignorance of a few cost us a great coach. Be careful is all I say.
  22. Everything that Mike teaches on the field is also applied to life. If you are undisciplined and uncontrolled, then people with badges and night sticks will be sure to control most of your life. Maturity is looking at the big picture and reaping the rewards of victory: not thinking only of ones self when faced with a conflict.
  23. Bulldog50, how old are you? I'd say you are only 8 years off the t!t. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> You wouldn't last a day in boot camp. Keep running that mouth on coacht, cause you will never see the field.
  24. Lunsford is still the same coach he was 20 years ago. Its the kids today who are pathetic cry babies mostly because their moms and dads are idiots. You heard it here first or did ya? /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />
  25. Mike is the man, now from what I hear.
