  1. yeah skinny curly haired kid. he pitched well for us last year.
  2. Gibson county played in a preseason tourney at haywood. defeated bradford, jcm, and fayette ware a combined thirty five to nothing. some real juggernauts i know. Monday the games started with back to back games and gibson county beat tipton rosemark eight to six in a close game throughout. The next game was against st. george's. this one turned out somethin like eleven to two. Gc players were worn out by the time the this one came around. tuesday gibson county played union city in a great game. ended up nine to one but union city led the game one to nothing until the top of the seventh when gibson county scored nine in the top half to get a good comeback win. union city pitcher pitched a great game but fell apart in the seventh. Barton Lockhart threw a one hit complete game. hopefully gibson county can make some noise this year with seven or eight returning seniors and some good underclassmen including trey tate and caleb carey.
  3. what do you guys think are gc's chances of winning out or winning three out of four to go either 6-4 or 5-5 and getting into the playoffs
  4. i would like to know how many yards kendall harper had against you guys because when we played them friday night he had around sixty yards minus a huge busted play that he ran sixty eight yards on. did he bust nay big ones out against mckenzie or did they contain him pretty well
  5. yeah somethin about the night air maybe the humidity makes em fog up i usually just wipe mine from the inside wit a cloth but on the field i just try to wipe it with my glove
  6. well like i said greenfield does have the second leading rusher in the region one of the leading recievers and dont kno much about the defense this year but i know that the linebackers(the allen twins and mcmullen) all recorded over 100 tackles last year. Tell me about that kid that came from like north side or wherever and now plays for mckenzie and plays linebacker because no joke he he has a nonstop motor and puts some good hits on people
  7. yeah that does kinda stink but i have a nike one and it hasnt done it yet the oakley ones are awful idk about leader or underarmour. idk if you meant sarcasm with the spitting in eyes thing..i really mean low blows and punching and kicking at the bottom of the piles. the dirty part wasnt going with the visors.
  8. every team has four gazillion running backs. but it doesnt say much for the backups if a sophmore who is average at best is starting over them. although ill say number eighty looks like he has big play ability he caught too long passes when i saw them play dresden. and also i think number five or eleven im not sure which but hes white and hes pretty good not the rebel recievers of the dh era but not bad
  9. doanld might have had twenty rushing yards and we werent murdered we were in that game most of the night but a little home cookin because of phillip fulmers attendance assured that huntingdon make the best impression they could for fat phil
  10. yes bigdaddy i have. i weigh about 195 and ive had 300+ pound offensive linemen roll up on my legs, and earhole me when the play is gone and punish me in the back when they pull. if you can name it its probably happened in three years on the line. iv e had time when the guy was in the endzone handing the reff the ball and someone still nailed me after the play was sixty yards up field. and im not sayin hit them when the play is down field im sayin if yourtwo yards from the quarterback when hes preparing to throw you should be able to put a hit on him its just hard nosed aggresive football to me i think you should know when you snap theball your gonna get hit and get hit hard maybe a little dirty at time but we all football really is a dirty sport i mean weve all heard the stories on tv about what goes on at the bottom of the pile tryin to recover fumbles. and to address all the people who say wearing a eyeshield and bands is trying to look pretty: i think if your confident in how you look youll play better and wit more confidence. ladanian tomlinson to name one wears a black shield (yes, i know its for migranes) and wristbands on the elbow. many pros also dont wear knee pads or thigh pads because they look goofy and bulky. watch a pro game. alot of players are wearing colored shields. they use to wear mirrored and all kinda colors in college but now colored ones there have also been outlawed. i love how some of the dorks who are unathletic and have never played football get on here and try to tell us who play every friday the rules and s#i+ and what can happen to people. so what if a guy gets a concussion. grow a set and play
  11. i don think so, kendall is a good guy. not cocky or arragant about his talent and really from playing against him i can tell you he just shuts up and plays ball and just does what he does and his plays speak for themselves
  12. yeah they lost to dresden AND stewart county both games where mcmullen didnt play with an ankle injury. he healthy now. i guess you guys missed the part where i said carr is my cousin. im not against mckenzie im just sayin greenfield has some upsides that the rebels need to be ready for. i mean the sophomore runnin back yall have aint second in the region in rushing is he? no perkins from greenfield is...
  13. ill agreed weve given up our fair share of points early in the season. we got beat 38 to nothin in the jamboree. which if you wanna get in depth might have been a result of our administration not letting us practice because we had just watched one of our teammates drop dead. we had no scrimmages. our first contact with another team was the jamboree so were just now getting into real thick of our playing groove. we held kendall to around sixty yards i guess minus the sixty yard busted play he scored on. we held milan scoreless in the second half i know and maybe the second quarter as well. most touchdowns scored on are a result of our opponent getting the ball on our fifteen or so usually. since the second half of the jcs game we have been a different team and our game against peabody speaks for itself yea we lost but so did mckenzie and humboldt who ill remind you both gave up more points to peabody than we did. i am rootin for milan next friday as i think jw and some of your other guys can run with kendall prolly can tackle him since hes a 290 bencher and 315 power cleaner.
