Just got a text from a friend, Guess who had to break the news to the other 3. The principal Mr. Maynard. Now how spine less is that to make a man that had nothing to do with all this crap, go tell the other 3. I would be ashamed of myself if that's all the guts I had. When decisions are made I wonder if the people in power ever consider if it's in the best interest of the kids and not some personal vendetta. If not they should get OUT. I hope the one's that are responsible for this sleep good tonight. And you know who you are. Like the old saying goes "if the shoe fits wear it"

Rumor has it that Bruce Lamb has been named the new head coach. Congratulations Bruce good luck. Rumor has it that it was a done deal 2 weeks ago. Good for Bruce bad for the ones that applied. The thing that gets me is that the way it was handled. Why would you give the other applicants the idea that they had a chance for the job when in reality that had about as much chance as a snowball in an oven. ( you get the idea ) People that's not the way you do business. I feel very bad for Mattan- Shane - and Mark. They deserved more than that. I'm sure they all would have thought more of the ones in power if they had just told them the truth that the deal was already done. But this is no big surprise. That's the way it's been done for years here in Overton County. Looks like it hasn't changed much. Like one of the people that was asked or made to be in the interview process said " I don't know why we're doing this we should just give the job to Bruce Lamb and go on ". Now that's real professional way to take care of business. Nothing against Bruce or the person that made that statement, just the way this process was handled by the ones in power. You know we have had no more than 4 or 5 candidates apply for the job the last 3 years. Cannon Co. just went through 40 something applicants and we have 4. What does that tell you about POLITICS in this county. Best thing to do now is get behind Bruce and support these kids. After all if not for the kids we wouldn't be here no way. I really am a truebluecatfan and wish the best for all LA sports teams. I just wish that the grown ups would act like grown ups and do the right things for the kids. LA football will survive I'm sure of that. I just hope that we don't have to go through this process anytime soon. The program has been taken back the last few years with changing coaches ever year, maybe we have the right man.

I'm going to put in my 2 cents worth for the next coach. Since I don't have no political pull like most this is the only means I have. This is a very important job to say the least. Football teaches valuable life lessons to our youth. Not only does it build character it teaches them to set goals and strive to reach them. It brings these kids together and bonds them for life. So in all actuality football will be one of the most important activities in their short high school experience. Football also teaches them to get up when they get knocked down. A lesson that many of them will face out in the real world. Most importantly it teaches them not to QUIT. Do you see where I'm going with this ? Do we need to hire a coach that quits ever time they don't get their way ? What kind of message are we sending to our kids ? What does that say for our school in general ? What will everyone think that knows anything about LA football or football in general ? Are the people in Livingston going to just set on their hands and say nothing ? Why not talk to the people that can change all this. I'm sick of it myself. I don't think a petition needs to be passed around town /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> but talk to the ones that can change all this. Do you see where I'm going with this ? The new coach needs to have a few of these traits: be honest.....be fair....energetic.....organized...ambitious and have the welfare of the kids and LA come before him and his staff. Not play favorites and pull the team in 2 or 3 different directions. And more importantly not play a kid because he is having trouble at home. Because he makes bad decisions and gets in with the wrong crowd. That's when a coach should try to help that kid that's what makes a good coach ....... the welfare of the kids. They can't play football their entire life but they will be out their in the world and if everyone gives up on them then their will surely fail. I hope at least these things will be considered when the ones in power make the decision to hire a coach.

Have you ever heard of the phrase.........don't judge a book by it's cover..I don't believe I would chalk up that win just yet. Although LA hasn't won a game don't tell the whole story about just how good or bad they are. I'm sure that LA hasn't chalked up the win either but I'm sure they feel like they can compete with Stone. Guess that's why they play the games. Go get em Cats Can I get an L A

Maybe LA can finally win one Friday against Stone. If not then there's no way they can beat Fulton. Or I wouldn't think they could. These two teams are pretty evenly matched. Didn't they lose to PC also. How many more games do the JV have to play. When and where. I heard that Carl Sanders has quit the team. WHY ???? I hate to hear that because he played great last year for the middle school.

What other ways are there . And is it eastern or central time zone. I have never been to Scott so I wouls apperciate any info.

What is the best way to get to Scott H.S. And is the game on central or eastern time.

Does anybody know the how many games the JV have left to play. What is the JV record so far. I thought the JV was pounded by York 26 to 0.
