  1. NC played last week, but it was practically a jv game (Mainly freshman and sophomores) I havent seen WHH play so far this year, so im obligated to say NC wins by 7. They have a pretty good passing game with a not too bad running game to compliment that. Should be a good game in 10A!

How is the district is looking so far? I know Clarksville, Jo Byrns and Nashville Christian both have at least 2 district losses but im not sure how the rest stands.
  3. Clarsville has lost 3 in a row up to tuesday night, but i havent seen tuesday's scores yet. If you are talking about Clarksville beating NCS, yes clarksville hit in double digits both nights but then lost to Franklin Classical, who NCS beat by 8... probably against better pitching... Sycamore, and East Robertson on Monday. Clarksville started off pretty hot but we all know that teams arent known for how they start.
  4. 1) Clarksville Academy 2)White House Heritage(more than likely) 3) McEwen 4)E. Robertson 5)Nashville Christian 6)Houston County 7)Jo Byrns 8) Merrol Hyde Merrol Hyde goes to CA JB goes to WHH HC goes to MC NC goes to ER (probably the best match up but who knows) * 1st round will be played Tuesday Feb. 16th
  5. NC should be pretty competetive this year. they didnt lose anyone from last year's team so they have a lot of experience on the floor. CA will be very good and are probably the favorite but i'm just sayin... dont sleep on NC. This district has proven that anything can happen at any given time so dont count anyone out.
  6. It's still double elimination, it has just been squeezed closer together. NCS beat CA and East Rob eliminated JBS. East and CA will play an elimination game today at 4:30?, with the winner playing at 7 against NCS. District 10A has been full of some great games this tournament! Definitely NOT a let down from a fan's perspective.
  7. Apparently McEwen is forfeiting the rest of their regular season games and dropping out of the district tournament. I'm not quite sure what's going on over there, but I'm guessing that it is something deeper than their record. Either that or all those cupcakes they filled up on. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  8. Back on topic, there were district games this week! Who won, who lost, and what were the scores?
  9. I do not necessarily think that the size of the school matters, seeing as how Nashville Christian has around 160 kids. I was not being unsportsmanlike, I just disagreed with you. I have been to many games and have seen NC play, so obviously size does not matter much. NC's coaches do a good job scheduling. They play many larger schools (Mt. Juliet, BGA, etc..) to prepare them for the post season, and that is what gets them better or gives them an edge. McEwen just does not do enough to make them better! Their talent they have is going to waste with such inexperience. Not inexperience in playing games, but inexperience in the quality of the games they play. Keep eatin' those cupcakes!
  10. ARE YOU SERIOUS!? You might have the most talent within the school, but I definitely would not say that you have "talent." I can't remember MacTown ever being anything more than a chocolate iced cup cake. Best of luck this year, kids!
  11. i've heard jbs has absolutely no catching, is this true?
  12. im sure everyone from fairview knows a few of hickmans all state players... dj key and scott? sowell..... two cousins. dj formerly went to fairview and played middle school with everyone.
  13. actually, everyone on ncs's staff has either played or coached in a state championship game. the one individual you are talking about has six rings, not appearances.
  14. Who wins district this year? Does anyone make it all the way?
  15. i dont think that there is any way either team is getting beat by double digits.....i believe that this game will be very close....as NCSfan22 said both teams have a handful of senior leaders and i think it will come down to whose leaders play better.....also both teams "role" players will have to play thier parts. it should be a good one!
  16. quote from Community Hero:I am not from either school, but am from the 9A district. The ref that was talking to the Eagleville fans officiated the first game. Not the second.... He would not be allowed to ref an Eagleville game because one of his girls goes there. No other ref was talking to any Eagleville fans, especially the second game..... Don't blame the refs, blame the well played defense, not being able to score off the dribble, and lack of an inside game. im pretty sure that an unwriten rule of reffing is do not ref with emotion and that is exactly what those refs did on thursday.....they were pretty horrible....they didnt cost us the game but they were bad.... when you are refifng, player fouls should be the last thing on your mind! however, before the ref even got to the scorers table to put in Anderson's 5th foul he knew that he was out and told Anderson to get out of the game.....if thats not bogus refing i dont know what is!
  17. you say "Excuse me!!!!!!" like your a 12 year old girl!......and how do private schools have a bigger pool....incase you havent made the connection, you have to pay to go to a private school and most of the talent would probably be at a public school.....especially in a rural area.....next time think this one out
  18. the NC-Eagleville game starts at 7:30, but unless you plan on standing up for a few hours, I'd get there quite a bit before that.
  19. i agree......its tourny time and no one cares how well you did in the regular seaon......weather you went 30-0 or 0-30 doesnt matter anymore.....i think that NCS has the talent, experience, and heart to get past Eagleville......im gonna say 61-54 NCS
  20. how so? i really do think that 10-A has the better district this year....who have they played non region?
  21. so are there any predictions on the Eagleville-NCS Final game?
  22. Which teams from District 9 and District 10 are in? Who hosts first round? Predictions?
  23. So..... Who's at the top of the MVP polls this week? Mind you, a MVP is the one person a team can not win without, and after seeing the WHH-NCS game, I would no longer say that Albright is the District MVP, seeing as how they could not win WITH him. He is an amazing basketball player, but he did not help his team win that game. Too many bad shots were taken in the second half. Granted, some of them did fall. He and his team just seemed to give up in the second half. Nashville Christian's Caden Anderson seemed to help pull the Eagles out in front of that game, not only with scoring, but with assists as well as tight defense. He is the MVP so far. He takes good shots, can drive the ball, and gives other teammates the opportunity to score. No other person I have seen in 10A demonstrates such unselfishness and can still put up around 20 PPG. He does not force shots, does not get pressured, and lets the game come to him. A scorer, passer, and defender that a team can not win without. That's an MVP. Caden Anderson.
  24. thats fine..... yall can be as good as you want but when you get up against the best of the best, the fact that your players run your team is really gonna come back to bite you! your coach has no control of what is goin on.
  25. i think that NC is pretty upset about those last two games and the way they played. they know that they are a better team than what they have shown so i think Cascade had better come ready to play bc if they dont, NC has a good chance of pullin off the upset.
