Just saw the other topic got closed, figured I'd open another one......just got some news about Pickett co girls, seems like for the second time in a couple of weeks another player in 7a girls has went down to a torn acl. Ashley Padgett tore her acl today, she is out for a season. You have to hate that for a senior.

Capps is out til probably first week of December, bad ankle sprain. They are also missing another starter Johnathan Sells, he's probably out til then as well. So their starting five includes three seniors (wright, gibson, logan) a junior ( jacob brown), and a sophomore (Joseph Dowdy). They will have one kid coming off the bench with any experience. Lets just say, right now some kids are gonna be getting some experience that may pay off down the road. I won't be a bit suprised if this team starts out 0-3, but that won't be indicative of any besides they are without two starters. Pickett Co. should be fine come mid december

And you people say that PC fans are crazy /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> ......Roddy was a big chog in the PC wheel last year, but lets be honest, Jacob Wright makes that wheel turn.....the kid is finally gonna get the Mvp he has deserved. As far as their 5th starter not scoring......he is totally a defensive player, but he can knock down a shot when he's in there....I think he fits bibb's run and gun system. As far as the bench, its small and not a whole lot of experience. Jacob Brown has a good shot, Jo Dowdy and Sam Cummings have had another year under Bibb, they fit that run and gun/press style really good....Size is gonna be what kills this team, after TC the next tallest kid is 6'3" freshman Heath Elder, and I doubt he sees any big mins. I think PC has their best freshman class coming in since this years senior class were freshman, but they won't see much time. PC wins the district, probably goes undefeated....but I'll say that the two JC and the two CC games are gonna be close, and gonna be amazing games.

Who's gonna be tops in district Pickett co.? Oops I mean district 7a...... How does everyone see it shaping up?

1. Jackson Co. and Clarkrange are the class of 7a....to me, one of those two are gonna be playing for state. 3. Pickett Co. these girls tallent has never been a question, its always been a coach who can harness their attitudes.....well they've got one who can now. Brent takes no crap from anyone. 4. Monterey....I think they are pretty tallented group as well 5. RBS...You go ahead and think that one player doesn't make a difference..we'll see 6. Clay Co.....I heard they got picked to finish last is the only reason I put them here

I don't really know anything about 8a but Pickett Co. should be the best team in the region....they've got everyone back exp. Roddy and a couple of bench guys....I think their biggest challenge will be Clay Co. and Jackson Co. in this region.

1. Lamar 2. Jim 3. Brent We'll see how good Larry is without his star player.....Clarkrange and Jackson are always good no matter what kinda tallent they have just cause those coaches can make anything work. Larry has only been good for two years.....5 yrs ago he couldn't even beat Pickett co. when they were down. Brent's third just cause he hasn't won a state title yet.

Alot of excitement up in PC this year, and surprisingly its not all about the boys basketball team.
