You are right!! I am spoiled- like George Steinbrenner I guess.... In my opinion we should have two more Gold balls than we do... we lost to Unaka in the state semi's - Unaka was a team we handled easily during the year ( I think a 15+ ) victory. the next year caleb skogen's senior year- I am convinced we had the best team in the state and we choked in the first round- I believe it was due to lack of preparation...after the first two Gold balls I think Wadley got complacent and stopped preparing- I think he was over confident- he didn't prep his guys NEAR like he did during the two gold ball years...he became content- I didn't like that- I also think he was so distracted during the 2005-2006 season with going to mcCallie he didn't prepare us to win up at Clay... I know to complain is ridiculous- he is one of the best coaches ever at Temple high school and in Chattanooga for that matter- I am just a spoiled fan and was disappointed with the outcome of those 3 years... I should be on here ONLY praising him, but the loss was brought up by devilfanatic- so I voiced an opinion about the game... I am sorry that you are a golden eagle...

Like you said - because I am somewhat new to coacht- I don't know who you are - but just from our little correspondence- I like you- I am glad you don't care what I think and you remain objectively opinionated- most people get their panties all in a wad when you state your OPINION and it is different from their opinion!!!- So that being said I appreciate you and our convo... that being said- the only reason I discussed the game AT clay was because you brought it up in your response... I just enjoy the little arguments and convos with a few people every now and then...I kinda found out a little late that the kids read this stuff so I figured I would show some support...

I don't know basketball? my team? high school sports in Tennessee??? you are crazy- and your ignorance is showing... I am glad that you people at clay finally got a win against temple (a couple years ago) - we had ended your chances of going to state so many years in a row I was beginning to feel badly for you. I also enjoy that of ALL the many comments I made the only one you were able to dispute was my opinion of a game.... in regards to that game- I should have been a little more careful with my comments- I too have seen the game tape, and I know that the refs decided who would win AT THE END OF THE GAME- total foul count does not matter at all-IMO --I also know that We played terrible and deserved to lose- worse coached game by wadley in over 100+ games... if I made it seem like it was all the refs fault- I apologize I should have spoken more carefully...players and coaches lose games...and in this case I believe it was our coach...so if that makes you feel better fine... As far as my credibility with you- I don't care...

I am a true fan- I don't hang all my hopes and dreams on anything- especially not a high school basketball team.....the mighty skogen was a junior- and not as good as the other two- I was at that game- the refs took over and decided who would win...they gave the game to clay county.... and don't put "skogen" in quotes like that- he didn't think he was a skogen or pose...or "maybe" he was a skogen- he was and has two state rings!!! how are those rings comin along in your region recently??? anyways yea pickett did beat us pretty good- but we are playing much better than we were, and the great thing about basketball is you only have to play well once to move on...I think temple has more of a history of winning when it counts...winning big games than anyone does -recently- in your region.... that is all I was saying....belittling other teams????where did you see that...I will tell you I have not seen either team in the region 4 champ. play this year...I have looked at their record and see losses to a lot of teams...some I have seen play and are not good... I know that my region happens to be the best region in single a ball over the last 10 or so years (count the silver and gold balls) so I have more confidence in the 1 and 2 teams from our side than I do fear for the teams (whoever they are) coming from your region...again I am a biased fan...and I am just stating my opinion...NOT belittling!!! I will also predict union city or Manassas to win the gold ball..

Whereas I don't like dadofour's prediction- I feel as though it is the most realistic. CSAS is playing extremely well right now-- and if anyone remember's last year this is when they peaked last year....we beat them like a rag doll twice in the regular season by like 30+ and 25+only to be in a dogfight in the region championship and win by 11 or 12 and it felt like 2 or 3. CSAS then went on to beat pickett AT PICKETT which hadn't happened in forever...and beat up n two more state teams... I think the reason CSAS will win is because they are more experienced- still feel like they have something to prove, they are healthy, and we are young and inexperienced at the coaching and playing level... That being said- because of the upsets in region 4 I think WE can be last years CSAS- I think we can beat either jackson whoever, or westmoreland- neither of those teams are that impressive. So even if we lose- dadofour- I still see us getting to state-

since the 2001-2002 season temple has only lost the region championship 1 time... that means 5 of the last 6 years we have brought home the region championship... this year it may or may not happen... but next year CSAS will be an unspoken of team...they have no PROGRAM established they over achieved last year...we will see how they do this year...but Temple has been consistent....they have an established program they teach the same ideas and philosophy all the way down to the elementary level....IF CSAS wins the region this year that is 1 time...guarantee you Temple wins it next year---seing as how they don't graduate a starter... Temple's dominance of the region will remain..even if they don't win it this year...b/c they will next fo sho and that will be 6 out of the last 8...that is continued dominance...until someone or other teams win the region a couple years in a row...than I will acknowledge we do not dominate this region (We also dominate the state...3 state titles last 6 years....and we WILL win the state title next year fo sho so that will be 4 for 8...)!!!!

Temple plays all Juniors....the only senior on the team is Peterson and he only plays because JR. guard andrews got hurt....next year they could start almost all seniors...they will have every key player back and will gain andrews who started as a sophomore on last years state championship team!!! to say they will do nothing next year shows how freakin stupid you are...

I LOVE IT!! and yet I agree with you more than you know...Grace has got to be one of the worst coached teams in the chattanooga area. How do you have that kind of size... (and both those kids are skilled) AND have herman who can score 33 in a game and STILL LOSE... I don't care- it makes me happy... Glad to see temple can still win when it matters...(it also helps making 50% of all your shots!!) glad to see Grace and CSAS in that go home game... Really gives us a chance to host a substate game if we can play well in the Region championship!!

When you talk about rivalries, you usually talk about past records, win loss, best games, most controversial calls, etc.... you can't talk about future anything...cause you don't know.... and typically you make predictions on the present game based off the past results...because you can't base the present off of the future at all...that doesn't work...I actually live in the present...

2002-2003 was not the only year grace had a losing season vs. us.... You are not very smart--The Win Loss I was giving was since the start of the new millennium, the 2000-2001 season is the first SEASON, in the new millennium 1999-2000 is the last season of the 90's....but if you really want to keep going back...I guarantee We were killing ya'll year after year during Josh Templeton and Gabe's years... but I was speaking of this Millenium... If you are talking about 1999-2000 maybe- we were like 15-17 that year but in the 2000-2001 season temple was 24-7 and beat grace all three times... we played them

The craziest thing is that in the new millennium temple has won either the district or region championship...(usually both)... at least one of those.... EVERY SINGLE Year... Hope this streak continues but it kinda worries me...if we play like we CAN, I think we can keep it going.... this friday is a big part of that...

Unfortunately I agree with you... In the "Skogen-era" We were 21-5 against grace.... (this is the reason I am confused as to why it is a rivalry)... we now sit at 21-6..... since 2000.... Let's get that 22 win of the new Millennium!!!

When was the last time Grace won at Vance....wasn't it 2003-2004 season??? 2006-2007 we swept grace... the year before we went 1-4- but 1 loss came at Grace and the other 3 were at the university

I agree 100% with both of you- Jurick is a waste of God-given talent... for that matter so is McMasters... both those kids are a freaking waste of 6'11 or whatever they are... I think they will never play again after this year unless they have some major attitude adjustments...but just my opinion and I am also probably biased against them because I hate to see talent wasted...

I was basically just saying that recently they (the two big men) have been playing well...better than they have all year.... Mcmasters played great against CSAS and Shanausey had like 29 and 10+ in recent victory over OHS (I think)...but yes just standing there is a problem...but recently it seems they have been doing more than just standing there....which causes problems for other teams....ie losing.... Sexton and Herman are both very good players but they will not determine who wins...they kinda cancel eachother out as far as production.... Temple's posts vs. the twin towers...and Kemp's shooting could determine the final outcome....

Grace's big men have been giving everyone problems....hopefully Marcum will make the necessary adjustments to keep the game from being a half court game...the only hope we have is if we push push push push....and we need to shoot the 3 ball well..

Shanausey (sp) from grace is better than McMasters...only because he works harder...
