Greenfield did get beat by South Fulton last night. We also were without our starting center, Jeremy Lannom. He sprained his ankle in practice, and was not able to play against South Fulton, and wont be able to play for at least a week. On another note, Greenfield beat Gibson Co. tonight...not sure about the final score, but they were up by 15 last I heard. So, dont count the Jackets out, yet....when we played South Fulton...at South Fulton....we didnt have our starting center.

saw Hubbs at the Martin Lions Club Tourney.....I am a Vol fan, and I am very, very glad that he signed with the Vols! He can shoot a 3....dunk....drive to the hoop....handle the ball...really enjoyed watching him play last night.

Free throw shooting is and will be UC's nemesis, unless they improve drastically in that area.

Well, here's my evaluation of the Lady Jackets. We have a very young team. We have a lot of talent on the team. We just dont have anyone scoring points, right now. Our defense is good. Our offense just disappears during games....we may even go a whole quarter and not score a point. I think we'll be better at the end of the year, than we are right now....if our girls will keep their heads up....and practice shooting the ball more. We've got to find more offense, or we'll not go very far this year. BUT, district 14A better watch out for this team next year!

Crouse and Robinson are the straws that stir the Jackets. Crouse does so many things...handles the ball, makes great passes, drives to the hoop...scores and gets fouled, great defense, hustles constantly.....he's a very good player beyond just the points he scores. Robinson also hustles like crazy....can score a lot of points....handles the ball well....plays good defense. I agree that these 2 young men are huge keys in Greenfield winning. And, if they stay healthy, then Greenfield has a good chance of going far this year. BUT, what we have this year, to go along with Crouse and Robinson are 3 big fellas down low....Lannom, Hoke, and Cavitt. They are tall and strong, and they get after it underneath the basket...Lannom is a strong kid that comes to play every night, and he will not back down.....Cavitt is just a sophomore, and has such talent that he could take over a game, IF he'll get more aggressive and realize just how talented he is. But, a big key to us winning is a player, who doesnt get a lot of press...Zack Grooms.....Zack is one of those kids, who just hustles, and fights, and wants to win...he dives for the loose balls...hits a 3 every now and then....fights for rebounds....may be one of our best defensive players....and, he just makes everyone else get fired up and want to play harder..... I'm excited about this YellowJacket team, as yall can see. If we stay healthy, we have a legitimate chance of going to the state.

It was 66 to 34, or something like that....it was bad.

The Jackets just missed too many free throws, tonight. The game was very close all the way to the end....Martin hit a lot of free throws at the end to put it away. So, the Jackets lose at Martin, tonight, 57-50. So, the Jackets fall to 9-2 overall and 6-0 in the district.

Greenfield and Martin are locked in a tight one in the 4th.....tied at 44...the Jackets are missing too many free throws.

The Lady Jackets fall to 8-4 with the loss at Martin tonight. Greenfield just cannot score points. There is no one shooting very good, right now.

Yea, I remember. I got them mixed up. #32 and #33 are the big girls down low....#30 Hudson was playing the 3 position; right? She's a taller girl, who was athletic...drove to the hoop....but, I didnt see any outside shooting out of her....correct?

UCTdoes, Do you realize that we scored 0 points in the 3rd quarter? 0! The game was close before the 3rd, and the Lady Jackets made a little comeback in the 4th, but then puttered out in the end. Most of our comeback was due to poor, free throw shooting by everyone but Reedy. Also, Hudson is a very good player, and #13 looked like she could shoot a 3. But, I imagine that most of Hudson's points come in the paint....aint she the big girl...#32, I believe? I really didnt see a lot of scoring out of anyone else. Reedy was the offense last night. But anyway, I was just sharing my thoughts about yall come tourney time....I have no doubts that yall are the best team in the district, right now. But, when you advance far in the tourney, you'd better hit free throws, and you'd better have other people, who can score points. Yall's athleticism and defense will carry you, and Reedy will help yall score points....Is Fair coming back?

The Lady Jackets just could not hit a shot tonight....part of that was cold shooting...the other part was UC's good defense. We even missed a lot of FT's, which we usually dont miss many FT's. My impressions about UC from the game.....Reedy is really the only offensive threat yall have right now....FT shooting was very bad, except for Reedy. Yall are athletic, and yall play tough defense...very good defense. But, I dont know if yall are gonna go far with only one scorer and poor FT shooting. Maybe I'm wrong.....are yall getting Fair back this year? She might be a huge key in yall going far in the tourney.

Great win for the Jackets, tonight.....now 9-1 overall and 6-0 in the district. Does that put that the Jackets in first place? Last nights loss was a wake up call for these Jackets. Way to bounce back with a big win over UC. Bigster, yall losing to Bradford shocks me....and, to lose as much as yall did shocks me even more.

Greenfield lost thier first game of the year to McKenzie 62-56. I heard that 2 our big guys stayed in foul trouble, and fouled out of the game. Our starting guard was also in foul trouble all night. And, basically, we just couldnt hit tonight. I also heard that McKenzie is a lot better this year, and have 1 player that's really good. But, I am shocked at this....I really thought we'd beat McKenzie pretty good..... The Jackets fall to 8-1 overall and 5-0 in the district.

I'm at home....lol. My son is sending me reports...I chose not to come tonight...figured it would be a massacre in both games...

I believe that the Lady Jackets are now 8-2 overall and 4-1 in the district..

Greenfield beat McKenzie 55-15, or something like that......it was a massacre....

Greenfield beat Humboldt 44-31 tonight at Humboldt.

Greenfield beat Humboldt 57-45 AT Humboldt!! Congrats to our boys!! The Jackets remain undefeated....

Greenfield beat Halls tonight 71-58. A couple of our boys were getting over illness, but they still played good....you could tell they werent 100%....but, a good win tonight over Halls to stay undefeated. The Jackets have to play at Humboldt next....big game.....

Greenfield girls beat a very much improved Halls team tonight 56-48. We've still got 2 girls not playing due to illness.....maybe they'll be back for the Humboldt game....not sure....

I just heard that the Greenfield vs. South Fulton game is called off due to the flu.
