To all Marion County Warriors,
A strong program is more than coaches and players, it takes commitment from the administration, student body, and community as a whole. The success of the nineties at Marion County was a direct result of hard work, community involvement, and purple pride of the eighties. Whomever coach Evans' successor might be will have to find a way to help bring the athletic programs together so that its not a basketball, baseball, or football player but a Marion County Warrior. I have the greatest confidence that this program can again return to prominence, IF we all work together and quit placing walls between us. I will step down from my soap box by saying that the success of the nineties was great, but the journey that brought us to that pinnacle was just as rewarding as everyone worked together toward that goal. To paraphrase a Marion County football legend; In order to be a winner you have to first believe that you can win, lets all pull together and say; we can and "WE WILL!!"
