sorry i didn't see this till now. as you have read the Poindexter's girls did not come back. RBS is down to 7 but they have some 8th graders coming up soon. And to answer your final question yes I am assiting at HSHS I am extremely happy there and I think they are happy with me, at least I hope so. Yes there is a new girls coach her name is Allison Painter. She played at Celina in the mid-90's she is a great coach with good knowledge of the game. On behalf of Hermitage Springs High School coaches and players we extend our sympathy to the Franklin family as well as the Forrest High School family. In district 8A Gordonsville and Friendship should be the top two teams. Gordonsville is still young but Agee is a great coach and he will get the best out of them. Friendship still has their two big post players but lost two key members from last year's team Brittany Dye and Coach Greg Brown. I saw them play this summer they looked pretty good. I don't know if they can get back to the Boro this season but they have a decent shot. As for district 7A Celina is the one to beat and if they can handle Clarkrange and Friendship in the region they should be making the trip back to the Boro. I think all that needs to be said on this matter has been said. I am gald to see Tasha's mom explain the truth and for Buffalofan for an apology. Sometimes people get on here and shoot off their mouth and say things that they shoudn't. So I am going to lock this thread and hope that future threads about Clarkrange basketball will discuss their upcoming season and their current players not those that have made the decision not to play.

I saw Portland play York Institute Friday night. They didn't look as strong as Panther teams I have seen in the past but they are not bad at all. They have a great coach in Coach Perry. Don't be to suprised to see them win the region again.

I was at the game and have no dogs in this race but York did score. It was obvious from where I was sitting. I am not sure why the offcials would not call it. I guess they wanted to ensure a Portland shutout. I am a referee myself had do not like to publicly talk about bad calls but that was pretty sad. It would probably would not have made a difference in the game but you never know. I feel bad that a big game could be blown like that by the offcials.

Celina girls will rule again this year with the only close competition being Clarkrange which has a few key players so we will see how that goes. As far as the boys, Celina will be better than last year. They better not get picked last like they did last year. I see them finishing at least 4th maybe higher if things go there way. i saw them at tech's camp they did not impress me very much. this loss of Linder hurts and it will be up to snow to ste up and play. by the time the season gets here they should be improved. coach rogers will work his magic as usual.

RBS, Celina, Clarkrange, Pickett County will be in a war for the top spots. Monterey and Hermitage Springs will make it interesting if they can pull of some big district wins. The key for the best team this year will be to win all your district home games and hope to sweep a at least three of the teams if not four.

I heard that Elmo(Coach Booher) did not get rehired at Pickett County. Is this true? If so I guess Leslie Boles will get the basketball job. If it is true Leslie will be a great fit there.

who got it? i have not talked to mike in a while i cannot believe he left.
