  1. If Oakland and Siegel were to meet again it would be in the 2005 AAA State Finals.
  2. The all district team is compiled as follows. Each coach from the district submitts the players from his or her team that he or she feels deserving of the honor. This compiled list is then sent to each coach who ranks each player on the list 1 through x. X being the number of players submitted on the list. A vote of 1 would be for the player that coach feels most deserving of the honor, 2 for the second most deserving and so on. The totals are then tallied and the lowest averages are the all district team. The MVP system works like this. Each coach submitts a player deserving of the award whether it is from his team or an opposing team. The MVP list is then voted on individually. There were 4 players submitted for the MVP honor and 28 players submitted for the all district honor. Twilley averaged 18.3 points per game in the district, had 6 games of 20 or more, and 10 games of at least 16. He is very deserving of the MVP, although you couldn't have went wrong with Walker (10.8 PPG in district with a high game of 27, while leading the undefeated district champs) or Williams (21.0 PPG with 6 games of over 20 and a high game of 41) either.
  3. I have known Jason since he was 5. In fact I probably know him better than anyone other than his imediate family. I will tell you why Lawrence Co. High has a good assistant in Jason. Basketball is like the game of life and so often this is forgotten or left out of the coaching aspect. So much can be learned from sports that can be used in life. Respect, team work, dedication, comittment, beleiving in ones self, these are all valuable tools to be used in life. Jason has installed all of these qualities in his coaching. You don't study or make the grades you don't play, you do not respect teachers, faculty, parents, or other students you don't play. This is why in my opinion Jason is a great young coach. Not only is he producing good ball teams but he is also producing quality, respectful students. Oh yeah the guy can freaking coach also. I know Lawrence Co. High made a smart move by hiring Jason. Of course the great Gene McBee may say he taught Jason everything. [Edited by theenforcer on 8-29-02 4:45P]
