  1. Let me see if I can help clear some of this up. This is just my take on all of this and nothing more. It seems to me 4changes isn't necessarily "crying" "whinning" what have you. I think 4changes feels like maybe Dekalb coaches singled out the 2 (?) players from WC and just didn't play them for whatever reason. Now to say that they were not the better players, I don't know about that. I have seen the boys from Dekalb play and will agree that Sonni is a good ball player and the other guy is decent. I know that the big post player from WC has about 14 or 15 colleges calling him. The boy, I believe is around 6'8" (I think) so I am sure someone will want him. The other player has a couple of colleges calling him as well. The #20 player I haven't heard for sure, but I don't believe he has been contacted by any colleges at this time. Now about the WC team and them getting beat by Dekalb I wasnt there so I don't know what happened but I can tell you that it seems that WC players don't play to their potential also seems the coach subs alot and alot of confusion on the floor. I would sugguest to BCAT, going forward, that maybe the coaches don't coach their own players and maybe all of this wouldn't even be an issue. Just my take, that's all.
  2. I don't know the answer to that. I know the team my son was on was not coached by his coach from high school. I would think that to keep conflict down no team should have been coached by their high school coach. Again just my observation. I would agree #20 seemed to be a quality player a good left handed shooter. However, I don't know the other two players but would think a 6'8" (I am guessing his height) would be a asset and a quality player as well. We played against WC in the summer and I remember he has a sweet jumper. Just an opinion.
  3. Ok I wasn't going to comment on this thread but I think I should say this: I was there Saturday and had a son there playing. It did seem like Dekalb coaches were playing his players more than the others. I just figured he was trying to help them out and get them some looks. I do think that maybe the guys over this shouldn't have let the coaches coach their players just to avoid this very thing where parents get upset. I know Dekalb and WC are rivials and would hate to think the Dekalb coaches deliberately didn't play WC players as much as his own. But who knows?? I was actually surprised to see Dekalb there at all, as I work in Dekalb and was told that none of the boys on the basketball team were going to try and play at the next level? I was disappointed that not many college coaches were there. When I went last year there were alot of coaches there and seemed to be much better than this year. Thats just my observation.
  4. I think Warren County has a better shot than most people realize. They have a 6'8 Junior and a Senior who is averaging 15 to 20 pts a game. I saw them play at the Cannon Co Thanksgiving classic. If they can cut down on turnovers I think they have a real shot at 2nd place at least.
  5. I think Warren County has a really good chance this year to do very well in their district. Could even see some dunks this year from what I hear???
  6. Anybody got any thoughts on 6AAA this year? Who will will district? Who are some teams and players to keep your eye on this year???
  7. just did. Just seems like no one is on WC thread.
  8. All I'm gonna say is WC's coach is NOT impressive. He leaves players in the game that causes turnover after turnover and takes outs or doesn't play the ones that are halfway talented and contribute. Seems to me coach is finding ways to lose instead of finding ways to win. Maybe he will be gone after one more year. WC people need to be careful what they wish for. Oh and for the record I'm not related to anyone on the team or the prior coaches. Just an observation thats all. I'm interested in others opinions as well.

  10. your exactly right Nitro well said!!!! And from what I hear the huge number of turnovers kills the Pioneers. I know its got to be frustrating for players and everyone. I know one parent who has a son that plays and her son and her and her husband are extremely frustrated as I'm sure they all are.
  11. from what I hear you are exactly right!! Looks like coach would make adjustments based on talent level?? I don't know maybe I'm wrong. But from what I hear fans and players are frustrated. By the way I again with you about the district change.
  12. can someone please tell me whats going on with Warren Co. They lost bad to Dekalb, and really bad last night to White co. Enlighten me please!!!!!!
  13. guess we know what Warren Co needs to do!!!!
  14. Maybe so a long time ago, but I don't think that's the case anymore which is why he may not be coaching after this year I suspect. Doesn't seem to have the attitude he needs to have when coaching high school boys and setting good examples and providing life lessons.
  15. That was a great first district win for the Pioneers! Who is the Daniels kid??? Is he not a starter? I read about him alot in the paper???
