I don't know his family but I know him and yes he plays hard. I don't know why his little brother quit football but I do know that what the coach said to Ryan about not deserving to play was the decision maker for Ryan to quit. These coaches are out of control and will never have a winning season at the rate they are going.

That is who I heard to. Talked to someone who knows his family and was told the Coach told the kid that he hasn't contributed and didn't deserve to play. Watching him play I can't believe the coach would say something like that to him.

I don't think it is lack of talent or commitment, but when you have a coach that has 22 to 24 players on a team and makes as many substitutions as he does and the fact the the boys team hasn't won a district game in 3 years which, by the way, is how long the Smith's have been the coach I really think we need to look at coaching ability or should I say the lack of.

The way the game will go as posted by WCPIONEER 77 is exactly right. The boys on that team don't deserve the crap they have been put through this year by the coaching staff (mainly offensively ). Way more talent than record shows! Coaches and politics and BS as stated eariler are to blame and it will continue year after year in EVERY sport until some changes are made starting at the TOP! I hope after 4 interceptions against Cookeville that the coaches at WC aren't thinking they can come out passing against Riverdale, although, we are talking about WC coaches so it's possible. What a joke!

No passing game at all for WC. QB threw 4 interceptions and had a fumble for WC against Cookeville.

I agree, it won't be a blowout! It will be close, unless WC fumbles and does the same mistakes that have hurt them in previous losses. I agree about CO and Rich. You can tell when Rich has his head in the game and when he don't. If he starts dancing around on the field to the band, then look out! Once again I agree with you totally. "too aggressive"?? Can you be too aggressive in football? That is the stupidest thing I ever heard! And yes some of the football coaches should not be allowed on the field. I do agree about the seniors they should be doing nothing until football is over. Taking chances like spraining ankles because you are playing Jaycee basketball, or caught in Hastings in a Madden tourney is unexcuseable! I know some seniors have been very devoted, but some haven't, just like you said, you have to question the devotion to the team. I really hope they can win tonight as well, however it will take some play calling that is not expected and a "too aggressive denfense". Ha!

Yes that's it exactly! Shame. Then the defense plays to conservative. Hardly ever pressures the QB! I feel bad for those boys. They deserve better.

I agree with what you are saying except for the part about the "big brusing fullback" hasn't shown much the past few games. Could be because WC is so predictable that other teams have his number. Also saying WC has a "decent" QB might be a little nice. But bottom line is offensive play calling. Coaches are responsible for the Tullahoma loss, and the Lincoln County loss. Had opportunity to win and blew it ! If you look back on the season when WC gets a big lead they can win but if it's close the coaches can't bring them to a win. Just stating fact. Nevertheless, I hope WC can beat Cookeville to at least finish with a winning season.
