  1. Randy and the horns are a staple of Henry County football!!!
  2. Good post redpwr, they definately play as a team which is what makes them so special. No matter what position the coaches put them at they give 120%. Its great to see the players feed off of each others adrenaline and the crowd noise.
  3. #62 has also made a big impact this year and it hurts not having him on the field. I hope Patsdoc has some miracle cure for whatever his injury is cause it sure would be nice to have him back for these games! There are alot of guys on this team that are silent heroes. The offensive line comes to mind. I think those guys have had to switch positions a couple of times this year and that means knowing all the blocking assignments. I am pretty sure I have seen a couple of them on the D side of the ball as well.
  4. You are 100% correct teebox but you know how it is when that old competitive spirit gets rowled up in us hasbeens. Nothing better to talk about but stats. until Friday gets here.
  5. He deserves it, he is a tremendously talented young man and he has a good head on his shoulders. Gonna love watching him on TV wherever he decides to go.
  6. Now that you have all the numbers to crunch, Zero, Im sure your support at the game fri. Night would be appreciated. As long as you are pulling for the BIG RED that is.
  7. Clarksville, & Westview. Your welcome!
  8. Just to set the record straight coverzero, my stats are not wrong. 2 of the 9 you are counting were never attempted because of bobled snaps and 1 was missed by another player. You stand corrected. 1 @ Clarksville, 1 @ Dickson, 1 @ JCM, 2 @ Hardin County, & 1 @ Kingsbury. Perfect against Liberty, Westview, Treadwell, Brighton, Munford, & Northside. If you had been at the games or read the PI you would know this. I agree that now is the time to have 4 more perfect games. I dont need you to do the math for me but I do need you to come out and support the team!
  9. As everyone already knows, Fairley's band will make up for the fans that dont make the trip with them. It will take more than just Randy and the horn crew and all the cow bells to drown them out. Lets get as many screaming, whistling, air horn blowing, clapping fans as possible out there and support this great football team for their last home game this year! I would love to see everyone come early if possible and stay to the end. These young men deserve and thrive off of our support!
  10. The final season stats in the PI had him at 56/61 so now that puts him at 62/68 after Kingsbury. Total of 6 misses, 3 in last 2 games means 3 misses in previous 9 games. Hardly puts him at one a game. Im with u chaos! Maybe "Old" and retired stands for cant add or calculate. Anyway, I agree he's good and has been almost automatic. However, RW is right about last year and it could very well come down to a missed PAT. Now is the time to be as perfect as possible. Any team from here on can turn miscues into an advantage.
  11. Sorry for the late reply TraderB No I have not seen either QB play this year, however I was there last year and watched them play. Thats why I said that they were both better dual threat athletes. That means they will be harder to defend than Gilchrist. I was just comparing the QB's in an effort to show that our secondary and DB's are much better than last year and very capable of defending the pass. Thats why I said I think the line on both sides of the ball will be the key to the game. By no means am I insinuating that Devin Stark cannot pass the ball. We will worry about Tramarcus Toney when that time comes, they have there own game to worry about this week.
  12. I guess you can think what you want but as far as I have heard the only one of these that are being recruited to be a QB at the DI level is Gilchrist. The others are being looked at for safties or something like that. I even think one is going to the same school as Gilchrist. Maybe you should get on the phone and let their coaches know about their mistakes in judgement. You know, since you are so experienced and all at coaching and are right about everything.
  13. Oh, and just for the record, it was great to have Randy and the horn crew back! I don't care what anybody puts in the paper or says about the horns, if you dont like them you can sit or stand on the left side of the endzone near the concession stand. I look forward to the horns every game and really missed him against Hardin County. I think those horns fill in for all the fans that are too cold to scream! Keep coming Randy - loud and proud!
  14. As far as defending the passing game, I think we will be fine if we can get pressure on the QB. I do think we have already faced the best passing QB in the state in Gilchrist and shut him down. These next couple of QB's are probably much better runners than Gilchrist which makes them a true dual threat. I agree that Kingsbury had no passing game, and after the first 5 carries from Hunter they had no running game. By the way, I hope he's O.K. and I will be looking for him to run for Ole Miss next year. I think the key to the game is going to be how both sides of the lines play. I would love to have Martese back, but only if hes 100%! We need him back at full strength bad! We get French back for this one and he will be itching for some good contact. I will be really dissapointed if the HC faithful don't show up in big numbers. This is the last game these seniors will ever play on this field and we need to be there to show our support for them. Who cares how cold it gets, come out and sit by the fire for the tailgaiting and put on an extra layer for the game. These kids need our support and they deserve every bit of it.
  15. Not counting you out, would really like to see you win along with the rest of our Region. I think its safe to say that everyone has a large task ahead of them this week. I think you guys had by far the best QB we have faced this year in Gilchrist. I know he didnt do much against our first string D but I attribute that to great coaching. He has a very strong arm and very accurate. I know #24 took alot of hits for Hardin County but if Will can get him and #2 the ball along with your running back you guys could do well. I guess it all depends on how your defense does against another very talented athletic QB (Toney). I wish you guys luck as with all of region 7. Yes I am biased because I would love to have home field advantage and because I want region 7 to show that they are not a weak region. I dont see our game being a walk in the park with Kingsbury either. I expect Gabriel Hunter to be very good and hard to contain. ROLL RED ROLL!!!
  16. I guess if you had 6'3" 360 lbs of Fowler in steamroll mode starin you down you would see what got into him.
  17. 47 to 7 when the Henry County starters took the bench. I have no doubt it would have stayed that way had the subs not been put in. I do hope that Hardin County, Brighton, and Liberty have great weeks of practice and represent reg. 7 well for the first week of the playoffs. Memphis has some good teams and great talent. I dont see any game being a cake walk.
  18. That is our goal, however at this point we are focused on Hardin County. One at a time will get it done. We sure appreciate all the support from our surrounding county neighbors and we will need it on game night if you can make it out. I think we have by far the hardest side of the playoff bracket and this team feeds off the fan support of the 12th man. I would urge any and every fan to be present for the upcoming games and support the Patriots. Show up early for the tailgaiting and be part of the real "FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS"!!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  19. What Im saying is if you look at last years performance and defensive scheme for the same team, one can only conclude that Gaddis knows exactly how to gameplan for them. They have pretty much the same team with the exception of Shutt. We will also have home field adv. for this one and everyone knows how much that helps. I do think we will get to Gilchrist as much this year as we did last year whether it be from blitz's and man coverage or simply from the D-line pressure. Passing is a precision game and if we can disrupt his timing, which I believe we will, then its going to be hard for those passes to find their mark. Hopefully they will find their way into the hands of our DB's. If the DB's plays like they did against Westview then even if he does complete some passes the recievers will have a price to pay for catching them. That makes all the difference in the world, especially on those quick slants over the middle. I look for a big game from that little fireplug #38 Gallimore, & #1 Sims. We already know Gaddis will throw Marsalis in their on D if needed and I wouldnt be surprised to see Dominique on the D-Line either. This is the time to plan for pass happy teams!
  20. I would be willing to bet that Coach Gaddis has the team ready for the passing attack of Hardin County. I think Will is a tremendous QB and will watch him at the DI level, but its hard to get off acurate passes when most of your time is spent on the run. This years Henry County "D" is better than last years and we all remember what happened last year in Hardin County. I expect a big game out of our DL and LB's.
  21. I will be there for the WHOLE game! Have to take POV cause bus leaves before I get off work. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Its a long ride but seasons like this dont happen every year and its going by fast!
  22. And the fact that we want to keep all of our coaches means we are not soliciting them for anyones head coaching position. I know they would be successful and an asset to any program they went to but we want to keep them here. Therefore they are not on the market but we appreciate your interest in them. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  23. As far as the passing game goes, all the coaches have to do is call the play. Marsalis had two TD passes friday night and they werent dump offs or screens. One to #40 deep down the middle and one to #6 deep down the right hash. If I remember right we had 7 TD's friday night, 2 by air, 4 by ground, and 1 fumble return. 2 of the rushing TD's came on the first two offensive plays from scrimmage. Kind of hard to ask those guys to stop in the middle of the field so we can throw it in the endzone. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  24. For all of you SEC haters out there, it would probably be best if you would run your mouth to someone who likes your conferences and actually thinks they are good. No one cares about how many time Ohio State can beat Michigan, or barely squirt by Wisconsin, or any other team in that pathetic conference. Bottom line on all these states and athletes is that if you can recruit the gulf coast states from Texas through Florida and include the state of Georgia, you have the best shot at winning a National title. Any of these athletes from high school to college will tell you that the SEC is most likely to prepare you for the NFL if you are that good. By the way, if Ohio State manages to slip through the LiL TEN again and make an appearance at the "GAME", maybe they could pay someone to keep an SEC team from showing up on the other side of the field. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> If anyone needs clarification on those states again I will list them for you: "TEXAS, LOUISIANA, MISSISSIPPI, ALABAMA, FLORIDA, AND GEORGIA. I would also put Tennessee in there before I would recruit the northern states.
