I had questions about the defense coming into the season. It is not like previous defenses in the past where you had big stars like William Henry, Lamar Theus, Rose, Hudson, Patton...Just studs on the defense. After seeing the game I can see future studs and this D is SWARMING to the ball ...guess red swarm still works lol They play together and are very good

There is only one reason that Munford is so bad this year....because they didn't recruit players from the memphis area like they did two years ago when they won the region. Thats the truth

I will be making the trip to the munford game tonight right after practice and we are rolling DEEP. A lot of my team mates are coming to see this school that I harp about every day. Proud to be a Patriot and love how everything is going. So expect about 15 Lynx Cats to be in the stands tonight.

I also disagree with the statement about after next year. I remember being a senior in 2006 season and people would say, "gosh after your class and Calvin are gone what are we going to do?" Then the 2007 team did better than us. HC is being made into a dynasty. Especially now that we can play freshman. Next years team will have the best chance to win the state championship of any of the last two seasons. The battle next year will be to see whether Dominique or Marsalis comes away with Mr. Football, but these guys are so close they would even vote for the other guy and don't worry about getting it or not. The offense next year will be more exciting then this year. If they can have a couple of recievers step up to fill in Jones and Jacksons play they will be great. Haley proved that he can catch the ball and make big catches. There is one thing that people are not totally seeing and that is Lamar Theus's effect on this defense loosing him is like loosing an entire defense. He was the cornerstone of the defense and every team had to worry about him. HC has had great D-Lineman in the past; Rose, Henry, Scott, Hudson, Hall, now Theus. Who will be the next to step up? Bomar will get bigger and be a force and JP Hayes can lay the lumber. As far as after next year we still have Shonte who was a great quarterback in middle school and can fill in the shoes. Domino Allen told me his little brother was going to be a better running back then himself...thats scary. Greg Kendall is quick and has burners. Jelks has the body to be a great O lineman and Younger can put together an offensive line out of a cheerleading squad and still dominate. This coaching staff will put players in the positions to become stars under the HC lights. HC is going to be a dominate force in 4A football for awhile. The offseason program is very good and does a great job at getting their players ready for the season. Can't wait till next season!!!

Whatever you want to say about the horns...they work. I remember playing with them last year and just looking up in that area and getting pumped up. Another thing to note is that in friday's game with about 1:40 in the fourth no one from that section was packing up and heading for the car. I can't wait for this game friday. I really don't no much about maplewood but they keep talking about size. Size does not matter in football. That is a fact. Speed is what is becoming the most important thing to have and I know HC has plenty of that. I would really like to see our defense step up in this game. They just don't have the tenacity that the D had last year. It also helps when you have a 250 running back that runs a 4.6 4.7 40. This team still has a lot to prove to all the haters and this will be the game to do it.

I knew this game was going to be something special. The pregame was incredible and the fans were going nuts! This game proves that Henry County is one of the premier programs in Tennessee. I was standing on the sideline during pregame and one of the coaches came and said to me look what yall started. Henry County Football has returned and is strong as ever. What is really scary is watching these young guns perform. Allen, Teague, and Sims with the game winning touchdown. They will all be back next year and with this coaching staff more stars will come out of HC. When my friends ask me why I go home for the weekends to see my highschool play lol they obviously never experienced what I did last year and what I did last night. Yes I will be back for Maplewood lol
