  1. I never even mentioned my son in these posts. My son supported his team like the man he is. I never mentioned anything to Coach T about him playing. ENOUGH SAID about that. You live in some sort of dream world there if you think I am the ONLY one saying these things. I stand and cheer in the crowd just like the few that are there. Where are the days when the stands were full?? That should be enough said. Not ONE game where the stands full, not ONE. When I was in high school our stands were always full, losing or winning. We were small, but there was much more community and school spirit and pride. My son is very Falcon strong and knows nothing of this site or if he does, I am unaware. However, that question is mute. My opinion is my opinion. I have been in coaching for years. I have a right to my opinion. Such is that. The end. BTW. I am not the one getting pissy over an opinion. Am I hitting a nerve?
  2. I have no idea what you are talking about "Get to answer MY quarterback WHO ARE YOU?" I didn't bash anyone either. So I am not sure what you are talking about. Are you upset because I am the only one that says things when everyone else just whispers them up in the stands? These things are not just from one mouth, but many mnay mouths. I have never bashed anyone. I may have said that I felt someone else was better at a position than someone else, that isn't bashing, it is my OPINION. I am allowed to have one. I hate to tell you, but you WILL hear that every day somewhere at work, or in college, for the rest of your LIFE. There is someone better than me doing something and it doesn't bother me...its life. Talk about it...doesn't bother me...water off a duck's back.
  3. Obviously, I have been misunderstood. I never said anything about my son not playing. He never said anything about not playing. He loves Coach T, however, I come from a completely different coaching background and from what I have been told, Lincoln counties coaching used to be tighter in the past years. ei. Another parent with a child on the team told me that a couple of years ago the team came out together, in step, or something similar, can't remember the exact words, but he said now, they look disorganzied and scattered coming out at half time with some players almost intermingling with the other team. I value Coach T greatly as a person and a leader and do personally know him. He trained under one of the greats, no doubt about that. You are telling me nothing new. I am not putting down anyone as I have been done here, but just stating a fact as was stated earlier. Sometimes when you are in the same position for so long, it is the same o' same o and you tend not to care as much....that it all. Stalemate. Bored more or less. Happens to the best of ANY coach. Lincoln County has a lot of talent, but that talent has to be brought out. The best example of that talent not being used properly was last years NGA team. They should have never lost a game. LCHS has a ton of talent and I believe with some restored school pride along with perhaps some new blood, either in assistant coaching or what not, we can get back to where we were. School pride doesn't mean being one of the crowd. It means being the one to say, "hey, is there a reason why?"
  4. I know that football has only been over just a couple of weeks, but I am already hearing chat about next years team not being near as good as this years for the following reasons: (i) We are losing some outstanding seniors (ii) we are losing 19 seniors out of 50 players (iii) Coaching has stalemated and (iv) younger group not as talented since they haven't been worked with as much. Any thoughts?
  5. LC's biggest problem falls along the line that no longer do they have Falcon Pride; no longer do they work as a team; no longer does the coaching team truly care (time to move on?). LC is too political. We have a QB that shouldn't be starting but is because of last name, Sophomores that should be playing but aren't because they are Sophomores, and enough b.s. to fill the 'Pit'. I am not sure when it happened. But somewhere along the line from where I graduated in the 80s and now, the kids lost respect in their school and school system. Without that respect, why should they play their best? If the coaching doesn't show how much it cares and is bland in behavior and unwilling to change, then why should the kids? Best example of a change for the positive and someone bringing about school pride again to a football program is Moore County. Now there is an active football coach.
  6. Coach T is a very predictable coach and that is what hurts the team offensively. Even the fans in the stands knows the plays before they are ran. However, I regress, he added a few things the last few games. He tried every trick in the book, which shows that he is aware that LC is out manned, but not out hearted.
  7. Does anyone have any actual legit knowledge (besides gossip here on CoachT) regarding the break ins at Smyrna? Aren't the coaches supposed to take the valuables to the sidelines with them? Just curious. I want to make sure that something like this never happens in my town.
  8. Thank you kindly for a nice motivational quote to place on the locker room wall. They might have to decipher since the grammar lacks, however, I think they get the gist of your post. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> FlyingFalconMom
  9. While not being the biggest fan of Falcon's coaching, my son plays and something he said to me has struck a nerve and seems to ring true. The Falcons this season has been able to ruin a teams streak, record, senior day, homecoming day, etc. They are scrappy, seniors are motivated and Coach T is making some actual additions and changes to his playbook that are putting a few points on the boards. Our defense is great and buckles down when needed and if we can get our offense to step up a bit, I believe that we can stay with the best. Our hearts are big. If Coach T would use more of his bench and give his starters a rest then our boys wouldn't be so exhausted by the end and wouldn't make as many mistakes. GO FALCONS!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
