  1. Some one will be hired, and they boys are working hard from what they tell me. Northeast does have a highly qualified individual in the building, and his name is Clay Welch. I believe this is the best man for the position. Having coached at Northeast for 9 years, he was told that he was not ready to be a head coach. So why, and what was the hold up? Hire the man, and he will do a good job!
  2. just wondering how everyone is looking in Clarksville? Rossview Northwest Clarksville Montgomery Central Clarksville Academy Kenwood Northeast and Fort Campbell (still apart of Clarksville) Just wondering your thoughts!
  3. how is practice going? what is the weight program like?
  4. O, I was a viable candidate at a time. Plus to correct you I only applied for two head coaching jobs. Spring Hill and Northeast. So promoting myself is not a negative, and maybe that is why i am moving on. Good luck to the Area, and I wish the boys the best. Plus after this experience I now believe I need to remain an assistant coach, it is more fun and less stress to deal with. Good luck though. Where are you coaching next year? That is a positive question!
  5. As for being theydontcare, SHSbuckeye, or football15, or eagleboy62, or anyone else how can i post something when i am not close to a computer. That is a mistery, the last time those people posted was from 11-12 when i was sitting down talking about football with Mitchell and Lewis. Sorry to burst your bubbles. One man cannot be in two places at once. Good try though!
  6. Sorry been awhile. As for hiding behind a screen name, I am not talking on here to discourage anyone. I have been in meetings all day and at Northeast from 10:30 - 12:00 talking to the gentlemen that are working with the boys. Good luck to the boys, I am leaving the city to another program and wish the program the best. We have asked the boys to continue to do well, and the coaches helping have a great idea of a weight program and conditioning program. So the boys seem to be in good hands. Keep working hard, and I do wish everyone the best of luck.
  7. I want to teach high school, and it looks as if I have to leave the county to teach high school. I go where there is an opportunity for me, and somewhere that my Wife can still work at her job. This is a family decision!
  8. I came clean. I was BlackNight09 trying to get some conversation. I think that is what we all do on here, but people speculated and I let them know. I have no problems or negative feelings about the program. I just need a teaching job at the school I am coaching.
  9. My heart is with Northeast and with the boys, however, Northeast does not pay my bills and my family is first. I teach at a middle school that has no affliation with Northeast and does with Northeast's biggest rival. That has been a conflict of interest this year, and i have tries several times to transfer with no success. Do I want to leave, NO! But can I stay without a teaching job, NO! That is why i am looking to leave the county and persue a career in an area that will allow young coaches to advance. We did lay the foundation for a new head coach, but without any promise of a job I have to thank about me and my future. This is why my time is short at Northeast. I NEED TO TEACH IN THE BUILDING I COACH! So here is an answer to many people telling the boys something they know nothing about. This school can win if the right person has the right staff. Great community, Great Student Athletes, and Great Times that will never leave my heart. Thank you for the opportunity that lasted a short time, but was worth it. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  10. I am leaving Northeast on my terms. So no disrespect to you, but I would not take the job if offered it to me. Sorry, I am ready to move on to another area and program. Good luck.
  11. Well i must agree with you. One person will not make a huge difference, and it is going to take an entire staff that works together. I thought I was ready, but there is still much to learn before i am ready to lead a program. We will see one day, but not anytime soon.
  12. Whites Creek vs. Northeast * Whites Creek 40 plays offense 30 yards rushing 133 yards passing No Touchdowns 1 interception * Northeast 40 plays offense 74 yards rushing 21 yards passing No Touchdowns 2 interceptions * Whites Creek 3 goal line series 3 touchdowns * Northeast 3 goal line series 1 touchdown Was a good scrimmage with good weather, and not a problem all day. Whites Creek impressed us with their great attitudes and discipline. As well as our discipline was great. Both teams had a great day and the hitting was better than we expected. Great tackling on both sides of the ball. As for coaching at Northeast, the school needs a head coach now. Was tough running things in the spring, and you are correct, they need to bring an outsider in for the head coaching position. With help, we ran a program that had no discipline to create a group of young men that fought their hearts out with what they had. The weight program became the center piece of the winer, and there were gains that were impressive. Not the strongest team, but not as weak as everyone thought. There is also much talent at Northeast. The Coaches have increased the numbers from 40+ last year to 100+ in the Spring. The Sophmore Class, which has an option to remain at Northeast after the split, is 43 boys in number. So the school has numbers, but a new head coach needs to have a staff that is consistant. Then and only then and a move to 4A will Northeast be successful. BoxBrew, I am not the man to turn the program around, but with help from a few gentlemen we set the foundation for change. Completing several hours community service, offering over 100 student athletes physicals, and saw many increase their grades from failing to passing. The head coach should have been Clay Welch in my opinion, but that is just my opinion. I also believe that the former staff was done wrong, and Paul Watkins became burnt out with the community and region he was in. Trust me, this is a tough area to coach. I wish those men the best of luck, and yes, we all resigned our post earlier in the spring. The rest is history. Good luck and God bless!
  13. So what is the word? Who is the next head man at Northeast? Saying it is April and should be time for spring ball. You would think the eagle faithful would know something? What defense and offense do the eagles look to run in 08, or do they not have a coach yet to tell them? /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  14. How many of the coaches off last year's staff are still helping at Northeast? Who will be the QB at Kenwood, Clarksville, and Rossview? Heard from a source Northwest will be in the pistol this year! Doesn't Henry County run the pistol, and do you think it will turn that team around? This will be year two in a new system.
