Rumor around here is that Sequatchie Co & Grundy Co is doing everything in there power to be placed in Region 4. Making it look like this... Region 4 (7 Teams): Cannon County, DeKalb County, Grundy County, Sequatchie County, Smith County, Upperman, York Institute Based on its location York Institute could very well be placed in Region 2. IMO!

Maybe we are but my count we still start 5 to 7 Sophomores on Defense.

Nice win by the SCMS Braves tonight over Jasper Middle 22-14!

Not true I know they have had them up until the mid 2000's at least a few. Not sure on any now but they have had them a lot more recent than the 70's. In 2004 Sequatchie Co. played York Institute in a Bowl at Upperman in Baxter, TN.

Who won the last quarter Whitwell or CCS?

Looks like, how else you explain trotting out a freshman Quarterback that to my knowledge has had very little reps with the 1st team and fumbles a hand off and makes another bad pitch leading to a turnover. Starting QB goes in against Bledsoe and the team looks completely different.

Don't suppose you could post here which side of the field each teams fans sections are located to help folks find their seats faster? Thanks!

I would say they would be in Reg.3 with South Pitt, Whitwell Copper Basin & Lookout Valley.

I would take this in a heartbeat! Sure travel, especially to Jamestown & Baxter would be a pain. However the lack of gate that three or four of those Chattanooga based teams would bring when traveling to our place when added together probably wouldn't top 50 fans based on past experience in basketball & baseball.

Just to let you know the Sequatchie Co. QB Club will be having its annual BBQ. $7.00 gets you a BBQ Sandwich, Chips, Slaw, Baked Beans & drink!! So go inside the school and get your meal before you head into the stadium! That goes for everyone attending! We will be feeding all players after the scrimmage as well.

Friday they host McMinn Central & Brainerd.

That's what the simulated game score was, they did keep score and time with the officials. Hadn't seen them do that a lot in scrimmages in the past. During 10 play down scrimmaging (I assume that was the format? I wasn't keeping track.) Sequatchie scored 2-1 (I think) before the officials arrived.

What kind of numbers do the Jackets have out?

As of last Tuesday Coach Montgomery was back with the team.

If I'm not mistaken these are picked by the coaches, not Murphy!
