  1. Congrats to the Tigers! Played very well. Sideout described it pretty well from SH's standpoint: int, fumble, int, fumble, fumble. You ain't going to beat anybody with that many turnovers. 2 plays were the turning point imho. 1. 2nd quarter SH down 12-8; rips off a 13 yd run on 1st down. Coaches call for a pass play (only they know why) results in a interception for TD. 2. Start of 2nd half SH down 26-8 drives the ball all the way down to the MtP 5, only to fumble it away. The MtP QB was the difference maker in this game like the QB for SH was when SH beat MtP in '09. It's such a critical position in football. Remember I said the SH QB had to protect the football? Good Luck to the Tigers for the rest of the season.
  2. Saw Harpeth scrimmage against Spring Hill and they look pretty good. They have a good athletic QB. Not very big, but real scrappy. Don't know about HC, but based on past history I think this could be a really good close game. Good Luck to HC since I pull for 12AA.
  3. I don't talk specific names but...... IMHO..the key for SH is their offensive line. They are big and can be very physical. They have 3 RBs who are capable of the big play at any time. Their QB must protect the football. Defensively they have a couple of LBs that will knock your head off. DB's must play their postitions and not give up the big play. Hopefully MtP will weed eat on the vistitors side because it can be a "jungle" on that side of the field.
  4. MtP will be hungry for a win after their loss last week. They should be over those 1st game jitters, while SH will have to deal with them. If SH's big offensive line can win the line of scrimmage, then they should be able to pound the rock, control the game and determine the outcome.
  5. I asked my wife and she said she didn't know anyone called "bluetooth".
  6. Saw LC play against Spring Hill at the jamboree in Columbia and LC did not look very good. Then they get spanked by Columbia. Have to go with the Bobcats in this one.
  7. Mr. Camper, sorry I hit a sore spot. You are correct, I'm not an EH fan, but I'm glad to know that "it is changing over there". But what is changing? You beat Loretto? Maybe this will be the year that EH can get more than 3 wins? Do you "sit" at your computer when you post on Coacht or stand on your head? PS: I don't HATE anyone....too old for that.
  8. EH has a total of 5 wins since 2007 and 3 of those are now against Lorreto. I guess any win is good, but wouldn't base too much on beating Lorreto.
  9. Good Luck to my ole buddies down in GC. Hope all's well and you have good season without any serious injuries.
  10. Don't forget your "cup". You gotta have that "cup".
  11. Now that's a truthful statement. Also alot of kids now a days, don't get conditioned to the heat. When I was a youngster, football practice was actually an easy break from hay making and tobacco cutting, staking, hanging and strippin. Dang, I'm tired just thinking about it.
  12. Has MtP got their field house finishted? How'd it turn out?
  13. Could you elaborate what the basketball coach did? I would think OC owned that school.
  14. The restriction on the number of players from one high school does not apply to summer baseball, softball or basketball. It only applies when school is in session. They could even play during "dead period" as long as their coaches weren't there and they didn't use school facilities.
  15. Jason Donnelly, who runs The Victory Sports Network (All Things NAIA) has spoken with Coach Alexander today and he is not going to BGA; and will remain the Head Coach at Cumberland University. :!:
  16. Agree. I've never really understood this "dead period" thing. I think it's the TSSAA way of saying: "We want to take vacation around July 4th...we'll just declare a "dead period". If they really think they need a "dead period" (which I don't) then wouldn't it make more sense to make it the 2 weeks following Spring Fling. That would also conincide closely with graduation, end of school, etc.
  17. Due to unresolvable financial issues, Lambuth University will close it's doors on June 30th ending an institution that has a 150+ year history. Best Wishes for all the students and student-athletes that are caught up in this sad situation.
  18. We talked with them as well. They appear to be legit. We decided to do it on our own. They can't do anything that you can't do for yourself when it comes to marketing your son to potential colleges.
  19. Woo!! This one is a surprise. Coach Patterson is a good guy and coach Wish him the best. Is he staying at HC or is he moving on somewhere else?
  20. Western Ky and U of North Alabama were two of the best we went too. You can get info from their websites.
  21. What teaching duties will he have? I'm surprised he would leave a college coaching position to go to a high school and have to put up with parents and kids.
  22. Investigate the camps before you pay your money. For example, we went to one camp where there were 90 QBs and they already knew who they wanted to look at. Waste of $$ and time.
