Yea I agree. BTW will not have their magic number man (scorekeeper) and I bet the clock will be working as well. That`s ok, let `em take their 30 or 40 fans to the Boro and see what happens when they get on the floor arguing with the refs like they did at Memphis. The sad thing is, they have some really good talent but the coach will once again be the downfall.

CUJO, Suppose I did use the wrong word when using the word "FIRED". My bad, but don`t kill the messenger. As for calling the players thugs, perhaps you should read my eariler post again. I stated that I was mainly referring to the fans on the floor at DC`s bench that had no business being there. I believe that was the same reference you made. I also said that most all of the Charger fans were very respectful and I stand by that. AS for the game, it was a really good one. Both teams left everything on the floor and the best team won. Again, my apologies !

Yea, i hear ya. In reference to thugs on the floor I was talking mainly about fans that had no business being there. Sure there was alot of mouthing on the floor during the game but that goes both ways. It was a hard fought and good game but I was somewhat surprised when I saw the Covington players at the DC bench along with some fans. It is what it is. As for DC players hanging out in Covington. I have no Idea, but I`m not saying that being in or from Covington makes anyone a thug. I stated earlier that most Charger fans were very respectful, but as for what happened after the game, like I said, it is what it is.

I know it`s a diff coach, but the same school and team. Who was it that got all crazy and got in CJ`s face last year at Haywood Co. after suffering a loss to DC. Coach was fired and players were PO`d. Stands the reason this would happen huh?

Yes ! Have noticed that all year lond and made several comments about it. Thanks for bringing that up. I agree that Fred showed alot of class tonight. As for Ced, he`s a really good kid that was pushed to far. For his sake, I`m glad Beck and the 3 cops held him back after being taunted. Would have been uuuugly!! Impossible to have respect for a player that starts that crap !

To make one point. While the thugs from Covington were being typical of themselves on and off the court, 90% of their fans were applauding DC when they accepted the 2nd place trophy in a very well mannered way. Pointed it out to a couple of friends. Pretty classy. Ashamed the others had to make a scene. The Charegers outplayed our guys tonight plain and simple. I would wish them good luck because they are representing our region, but after the poor sportsmanship shown on the floor after the game, can`t say it matters. GO DC !!!!

Think the Chargers are about a step slower and their hands aren`t as quick as DC based on last nights game. Not sure about #`s but looked as though F-W out-rebounded them. #32 is a monster and a good shooter, but didn`t look real strong crashing the boards. #22 and #12 also looked good last night. The DC win was the first this year where alot of ppl thought they were the underdogs. A good taste of blood for them and they should be really fired up Thursday night.

It may have been a diff outcome had he not been in foul trouble, but as 74 said, that was the game plan and he had missed a ton of shouts while on the floor. As for "the radio guy", he`s a pretty good guy but he`s from Dyersburg, just gets paid to call the games. DC stuck to the gameplan and it worked. Great job guys and coaches !! As for Prather, I believe he is the real deal, proved it in the 4th, but I don`t think he expected the speedy "D" of DC, therefore just wasn`t prepared.

Don`t think so MOM, but I do think if DC can at least slow Prather down, then obviously it would put the odds in our favor. Not to take anything away from the rest of them and I know he will be near impossible to slow down, but that should be a given. I still think it can be done because 1) we will drive the lanes and either score or get them in foul trouble and 2) with the DC bench being so deep, we will have many more fouls to give wearing Prather down. Not saying this will happen, just saying it can. I will put three sets of really fresh legs up agaist one player anyday. GC i haven`t seen him play this year, but if a good team CAN slow him down a little, shouldn`t that even things up a little. Remember I said a good team with good shooters of their own. I`ve seen NS`s scores and they don`t average much different on pts than DC does. Somebody give me the lowdown on the games at GC. Girls and boys. The papers and radios are giving diff info

I kinda agree with GC when posting about Fussell on the girls board. I don`t care if Prather scores 50 pts as long as DC can contain thr rest of the team and score more than 50 points. One man can not win a game alone.

I`m sure Prather is an excellent player along woth his teammates. Heard to much for it not to be true. Keep in mind DC, although we may not have a big name, has a great team of their own. These guys didn`t get the #1 ranking and stick around the top five all year for no reason. The bench didn`t get quiet as much time in the Haywood Co. game, ( partly due to a couple minor injuries that they wanted to give a rest ) but still got more benchtime than most. Koty Gross with the winning stickback and Donnie nelson with his "D" play are both Soph. off the bench and made a diff in the game. DC did however play alot of bench players in all the games during the districts. In fact, more benchtime in the championship game than normal. Each team can only play 5 at a time, then the depth of the benches come in to play. That along with DC hitting freebies and blocking out under the boards could be the diff in the game. Should be fun.

Don`t want to start another hate thread, so please don`t respond in that manner. Actually the refs have stunk it up pretty bad this year, not only for DC but they don`t like DC and don`t mind anyone knowing. Sounds familiar uh? That`s just crazy. Should be a really good game. Still think it comes down to DC hitting the freebies because they will be driving the lanes. How many pts and steals has Prather averaged this year per game?
