  1. Well, Well, Well; A battle of to defeated teams!!!!!!! CCCHS 0 -3 and CHS 0 - 2. Even with the return of johnson ccchs couldn't win or even score against an avg. team. CHS hasn't scored in either of their games (but against state champ material teams). Both teams are licking there chops like they are going to win (why shouldn't they) but only one team will. CHS will play in the easiest game they have this year (and are looking forward to it). They have been hit hard and demoralized so far this season. I look for chs to win this game in not so close of a game by 18 points on their home field. CCCHS will as I've stated before look like they have gone back to the days of old. 1 -9 or 0 - 10. Maybe they should get back the coach that left (wampler) and let the current one go away somewhere else.
  2. As I sit here in my car on my notebook with my wireless connection leaving the game around the 2 min. mark I've got to be the first to talk about the game. Jeff. Co. will miss the playoffs but have a bright future in front of them!!!! CCCHS (hangs head) will struggle the rest of the season. I'm not going to bash on the cat paws too hard but they can't catch a cold in the dead of winter much less a ball. The defense needs to be revamped to the athletes. I checked the schedule and I'm thinking 1 - 9 or 2 - 8 with an upset win over clinton or karns, they should beat union co with johnson by himself!!!! As I said earlier before season the loss of wampler set the paws back 30 yrs. To beat it all I picked the paws to win and got headache over it, ahhhh the love of the game.
  3. This games so hard to predict!!!!!! someones walking away with a victory and maybe the only one on the year!!!!!! The return of johnson and the apparent dissaray of the pats make this game seem like a miserable pick for the winner (gives me a headache). Not that the ccchs faithful mind (lol), missed them the last couple of days after the loss. I'm going to end this headache and pick ccchs by 6 just because they will be at home and rejuvinated with johnsons return. Suprise ccchs faithful I went with you this game. By the way where is cougarman84 haven't seen him in forever, have you been banned by wells from posting?
  4. hey jc4life, tell us about that jeff co. game fri. is mo west anything special off. or def. not getting a feel for this game as of yet.
  5. To begin with I said 7 point game!!!! (so be clear who your talking to thank you) However the game could have been a lot more lopsided than the 13 - 0 with some punches into the endzone instead of turnovers (ooops making excuses sorry lol). Analysis of game anyone?
  6. well here it is friday and day of the game. this game is going to be tuff to analyze. Do Not expect a blow out in this one unless one team get short field advantage. will ccchs defense be more improved over there performance of last week. will heritage discover a passing game? obviously the absence (sp) of johnson for ccchs will be a big miss for the cougar faithful (but will the classy wells slip another number on him (j/k)). the makings of a big game are at hand. can heritage stop stiner and his athletic ability that no one gives him credit for!!!!! so many ifs in this game it makes a prediction a nervous one (like tossing a coin). going to have to go with the cousins in this one heritage by 7. behind the power running and the big blocks of the o-line. by the way whats that radio station that plays the games?
  7. ok ccchs folks whats the official word, is johnson playing or not? it's thursday and i haven't seen anything official stated here (or i missed it).
  8. Yep I will say that I remember 1 year ago that when ccchs won a game these boards were filled with ccchs talk about going to the dance and how good they were going to be (which prompted me to watch). I also remember the players as well as fans being cocky also!!!! My point is this ccchs was at that point and did the talking and now it's coming back towards the ccchs crowd. be objective support your team and don't make excuses for wins or losses.

    It's to late!

here's a dumb reason for this. since we as fans judge our teams on their won loss record and base how good a coach is on that same basis. maybe just maybe these players might be able to contribute depth and might actually be good enough to start (who knows) in order to help the team win.
  10. Well the ccchs cougars are 0 - 1 more of a lopsided score than i anticipated (oh well). Interesting game this heritage game will be. i had a bunch of cousins that i love dearly go there so i tend to be soft hearted to that school. i'll give my prediction later in the week when this appeal (sp) is over. just out of curiosity if the ccchs cougars go 0 - 2 will they still believe or will they pack there paws and go to the house. obviously wampler is missed because the cheap shots and ejections dissappeared under his tenior (sp). like i said ccchs stepped back 30 years with his departure, and whoever let him slip away must feel like a fool and if not yet by seasons end they will feel that way.
  11. hey there peeblee, i wouldn't look forward to reading my posts this year if i were you cougar faithful!!!!!! the loss of the d-cord. to oneida was a blow to that program that will set it back 30 years. don't count on the staff thats there now nor the athletes that are still there be counted on a 5 win season. some of there opponents that took them lightly last year are awake this year and will return ccchs to its glory days of 0 - 10 or 1- 9 seasons. not trying to be negative just giving bulletin board material because you can count on my dogs to be better this year. however good luck ccchs because your going to need to rely on the offense to pull you through this year and as smart as anyone is as long as my memory serves me right. you better pray stiner stays healthy because ccchs didn't win a game when he went down last year (thats if my memory serves me correct probably wrong on that one though). so in all reality the defenses just need to slow johnson and stuff stiner cause he's the catalist behind the scenes (jmo)
  12. The battle of the cats feet is upon us all. The winner will be the one with the sharpest claws!!!!! Seriously; LC by 12

    Lenoir City

they are going to need to work hard and develop proper fundamentals while they are building and maybe by the end of the season will suprise a couple of folks.
  14. my sources in the oneida area are very happy to have wampler, if i remember right they said he was going to be offensive coordinator and we all know the grapevine could be askew. this will be a terrible blow for the cougar "cough" nation. look for ccchs to be back to their days of old, but with 2 - 3 wins this year!!!
  15. joking around is a good thing at times, it's what keeps us old foggies feeling young
  16. Hmmmm, so your saying that ol biggie earl is another benedict arnold, him going to OR is worse than going to AC, that's almost as bad as from going from halls to powell or central, from beardon to faragut, from fulton to AE, from oneida to scott co., any morgan co. school to coalfield.
  17. hope you didn't get hepatitis while there. Oooops wrong waffle house. You weren't there with peblee, isn't he the ex coach from there if i'm not mistaken which I could be on this cause I'm not so sure about this.
  18. hey ccman84 haven't seen you since last fb season. what's going on up in them there hills (lol). you guys almost lost that dc (my sources had him gone but then politics took its toll and the red devils took the wrong coach). so are you guys optomistic about this season over last. any new coaches, how many players and that sort of stuff.
  19. Are you looking for a list that we think will be great grames or a list where your favorite team wins against all of the weak sisters who like to go 0-10 or 1-9 lol.
  20. simple, just fill out the transfer paper work along with a hardship request and let the powers to be (tssaa) decide on the outcome and you will probably be able to play from the 9th grade till graduation. this is one of those tricky situations. example: sunbright is a k-12 public school that plays 8th graders and if they transfer out of there they still get to play the remainding 4 years as long as there's a bonafide change of residence. just put it in the hands of the powers to be and you'll see.
  21. I'm no LA fan but I see a lot of posts that don't give them credit for being a decent team. So I go see how they have done in the past: 2001 5-5, 2002 7-4, 2003 7-3, 2004 11-2. I don't see any year that they were under .500. So I'm going to give them some respect. Coaching change at AE this year depends on who they get so this could change. If rumor is true that a coordinater from maryville is going to AC (which I doubt why would they). Catholic will have a hidden bullet but will it be enough. Scott high great talkers but can't win history: 2001 0-10 (0-7), 2002 1-9 (1-6), 2003 5-5 (2-5) best year, 2004 3-7 (1-6) 1) Fulton 2 & 3) AC & AE 4 & 5) LA & Catholic 6) Kingston 7) Scott Not that I'm any type of guru cause I'm not just my opinion.

    Henry County

If you check the oakridger.com you will see that OR hired Stevens, so don't worry
  23. Here's a take from an outsiders point of view on Jellico Football. I remember a time back when they made their first playoff appearance. The program was like a Phoenix rising up from the ashes. The coaching staff of those days did a tremendous job of teaching the players how to play and how to win. I know Coach Oaks was on that staff and I don't know if any of the other coaches from that staff are now on board or not, but if I was Coach Oaks, I would try and reasemble that complete staff and rise again from the ashes. Good luck to the Jellico faithful because it's going to take blood, sweat and tears to recreate the past and turn it into the future (hard work and Team Togetherness).
  24. To answer your question about who big dawg plays for I would guess "Hampton", in his posts he knows to much about them and who they are bringing back and etc. It seems he is well informed. However, it can be another team in the upper east tn. area but that's my guess any wagers!!!!!
  25. here's a thought that i haven't seen raised on here. i am a big time sports fan that loves going to the games. but i have never been to the state tourny in either football or basketball in the buro. why? because it's inconvienient. why not move the tourny throughout the 3 sections of east middle and west for people like me that would go to the tourny but can't because of job unless it is closer to where i'm at. just food for thought and i'm sure there are thousands (or even hundreds) out there in my same situation.
