There is no such thing as being "muscle bound". Thats an age old myth that was disproved a long time ago. Lifting weights, and I mean heavy weight, actually increases flexibility in all muscles. You see, even on this very board there is not enough known about serious weight training facts and i've found that basketball coaches are the most ignorant of all when it comes to fitness. There knowledge of the subject tends to stop at suicides.

Tell you what....I will bet my coacht membership against yours that Huntingdon beat Mckenzie this year. If Huntingdon wins you never post again, and vice versa. Is it a deal?

Kudos to you for your teams ability to contain Holder. Both those games had something in common, sloppy conditions. He's not quite a power back but he is argueably the best cut and slasher in the state at any level. And he did it against argueably the toughest schedule in 1A. Thats Milan (200+) Westview (200+) and Union city (200+). Next week Camden will get to see first hand what a task that is, and good luck to you. You guys shouldn't use this board to try and somehow downplay what this young man has done. By all accounts he is a fine young man who is deserved of any awards that come his way.

Should have seen the second scrimmage against Haywood. you would have been alot more impressed. I didn't think they looked half bad against lexington considering they had 4 days running a totally new offense and defense and maybe 3 or 4 starters from last year. At that time we also had no d coordinator so i wouldn't put to much into that scrimmage. I think we'll see you guys again at crockett co., I'd expect we may look a tad better.

Funny, I remember being on here last year at this time and if I'm not mistaken they were picked to finish third in that region with those mighty 4A athletes they had. Murphy hit it on the head. They lost half their team to east, now they kept a few junior who wanted to stay and finish it out at centerville (who wouldn't) but last year at this time there weren't many people giving them a chinamans chance in heiti's of being a good 2A team. MY MY MY....how things change. I don't think most people know what that program went through and those that do would certainly tell you those kids came a long way. They were so bad they couldn't beat a mediocre 2A team when they were 4A. Don't try to undermine what those young men have achieved. You have no idea about that situation.

Sorry to offend you. I've seen you guys on tv also. The problem you guys have is typical of your region. NO SPEED. You do pretty good for what you've got and due to your proximity and relationship to the so called "GURU" he will always throw you guys some love. Around here we laugh everytime we see you guys ranked in the top 10.

Well lets see....for starter lets say Westview. HC beat them by at least five td's if not six this spring running a new offense. Now for the rest. Smith County York (my god /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> ) Lewis Co. And those are just the obvious ones. The only team I see on there they can't beat is Alcoa. Please remember to check this post in late november. They were beaten in the quarter last year and return virtually everybody. I've seen york on tv, they are not even in the same league. Humboldt either, and certainly not a sweetwater team coming off back to back to back mediocre years. Gatlinburg Pittman.....(long pause with demeaning look on face and rolling eyes at the same time) I'm surprised Murphy even printed that garbage.

missing in 2A is Hickman Co. An obvious oversight. I see at least five teams on the 2A rankings they would mop the floor with.

I will say it again. Hickman Co. will play alcoa for the state.

IMO there is not another team in West Tn. who should year in and year out be able to compete with Milan athletically. Every year seems to be THE year for them but as of late they can't seem to get over the hurdle. With the amount of athletes they have on a consistent basis along with their being one of the largest 2A schools in west tn. it almost seems impossible they don't make it to the finals almost every year. They have that kind of talent.
