  1. I can't wait for tomorrow, and I also hope everyone from South Pittsburg and McKenzie travels safely to the game. I think the score will be South Pittsburg-41 Mckenzie-27.
  2. Arts & Sciences at home plus stomping cheerleaders plus a really good team equals a Patriot win by the score of 80-68.
  3. Does anybody think that the turf at MTSU will affect the game? If I remember right, MTSU has the AstroTurf stuff. I know SP has played on the newer turf at UTC, don;t know about McKenzie though.
  4. I just watched Arts and Sciences play and I believe that they are a lot better this year than last. They have at least 8 people that can score in bunches, and if they all are in sync, if will be tough for any team to handle. Temple will have to limit the turnovers against the press, or it could be ugly. A 1-3-1 may be good for Temple b/c A&S likes to set up against a zone in the corners, but I assume Temple will run man.
  5. I hear the entire town of South Pittsburg is going to the 'Boro, is that the same for McKenzie?
  6. There's also "the other school" in South Pittsburg, Richard Hardy, but they don't have football. Enrollment there is between 100-125.
  7. I have just a quick question: When Hampton scored to make it 35-28, why didn't they try an onside kick. Were they banking on stopping the Pirates quick and use their timeouts or what? Hampton was an extremely good team but Roop didn't play to his potential and size. Are any small colleges looking at Lunsford? He was imo Hampton's best player.
  8. I think they will as well. Warriors by 15.
  9. Some people may be surprised, but Richard Hardy beat Lookout Valley 79-65. Box score 1st 2nd 3rd 4th Total Lookout Valley 8 21 14 22 65 Richard Hardy 17 14 21 27 79 Lookout Valley (65)- Jimmy Harris 26, Scott Gordon 17, Alston Casseday 10, Brooks 5, Wynn 3, White 2, Young, Hall, Young, McCoy, Bonner, Hodge, Orchin. Richard Hardy (79)- Dakota Moore 22, Corey Zinna 20, Charlie Walters 14, Jordan Talley 13, J. Howard 7, K.Howard 3, Patel, Garner, Adams, Oaks. From Friday's Chattanooga Times Free Press Deciding factor in the game was free throws. Richard Hardy was 29-44 for the game and I believe 12-15 in the 4th quarter. Lookout Valley was 16-29.
  10. I hope you're not being serious. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Anyways, its simple. Two region spots, three teams to compete. South Pittsburg and 21st Century may be a George Mason, but I doubt it. Although many things can change in a season (injuries, suspensions, etc.), what really matters is how you are playing at region tourney time. The most important game before the region will probably be the district 5-a championship, between Temple and Grace. The winner will likely cruise to the region finals, and the loser will go through CSAS in the semifinals. Basically, I've got Arts & Sciences winning the region over Temple.
  11. Well South Pittsburg is the home of the National Cornbread Fesitval, so there's plenty of cornbread around these parts.
  12. Game starts at 7 o'clock Central, I believe.
  13. SP has mostly everyone back (Rashawn Weatherspoon, Terrell Robinson, Tyrone Robinson, Robert Robinson) but it'll take some time to adjust to basketball (the majority of the team plays football).
  14. I'm pretty sure Owen Kilgore and Dustin Chance(two best players) are back. Whitwell may do what RH did a year ago with their 10 seniors(don't know how many Whitwell seniors there are, but its at least 5)
  15. I love the "let me help you out here" quote. Anyway, Richard Hardy lost about 85% of their scoring, and only 2 of the returning players (Corey Zinna, starter last year, can get hot quick and Jacob Howard, back-up PG from last year who has improved) played real time on Varsity. Anytime you lose 85% of your team, I don't care who it is, it will take time for them to mesh together. As for these guys not playing MC, I guess it might have to with playing 16 district games and tournaments and putting SP and Whitwell higher on the priority list than RH. The last game RH and MC played was very good.
