  1. Ensworth has never lost twice to the same team in one season until Friday night. BA wins a close one. Coach Ricky will emphasis turnover mistakes from 1st meeting, making this game close. MBA will dominate MUS and will win big setting up an all Nashville DII championship game in Cookville against BA.
  2. The DII baseball state championship tournament has been played at Wilson-Central HS up until last year while DI played at MTSU. Played during the school day so parking was nil. The Nashville Sounds stadium was empty that week also.
  3. "COME ON MAN".....Vegas would be proud of you WesVLT. Your only hippcup was the MBA/Baylor spread of MBA +7, actually it was +21. We are all waiting for Carnac the Magnificent's semi preview.
  4. There is a DII committee? Wow must work part time.
  5. SPOT ON....Nothing like a 4 1/2 hour drive from Cookville to Memphis leaving at 11pm to be at work or school at 7:30am. Maybe the T$$AA gives out permission slips along with the state champion t-shirts for the student/athlete to skip class on Friday.
  6. Excellent analysis Wes....Going with the home teams except for BA/BC game. McCallie's 5 1/2 hour bus ride to Memphis is an 10 point advantage for MUS. DII playoffs are usually predictable till semi's.
  7. I guess what the Ryan win over BA means Is that BA might be susceptible to overlooking aveage teams. Don't think they will overlook BC, but.......Ensworth is on the horizon. BA has never beaten Ensworth twice in one year.
  8. Not sure anyone cares what you think....not bad post for your 16th post. Now go back to your coloring book.
  9. "Why heck man... You preppy private school guys went and paid someone to publish this here infomation, man. All them there numbers don't mean nothin to us...its a bunch of garbly goop".
  10. Speaking of the T$$AA....guess the DII championship game will held on Thursday night as usual. Reserve the Friday night and Saturday night games for DI. Another reason to leave the T$$AA, no respect for DII.
  11. WesVLT...I love your opening...spot on as well as your predictions. Kind of a boring week in the DII world. McCallie and Ryan would be worth watching online of course due to the parking maze at Ryan.
  12. Missed the score prediction, but had a feeling turnovers would play a big role. Ensworth's only TD came off a BA turnover. Not sure how many times BA capitalized on Ensworth's 6 turnovers.Got a feeling Coach Ricky will have those turnovers corrected prior to next game.
  13. These two teams should play again in the semi-finals in 3 weeks at The University of Ensworth. Coach Ricky will be ready with a different game plan, might be a closer game due to championship on the line.
  14. Isn't this a version of Vince Lombardi's quote prior to Super Bowl I? Replace BA with Green Bay, Ensworth with Kansas City and Coach Bowers with Coach Stram. By the way Green Bay won.
  15. BA always has a chance to beat Ensworth. Last time was 2009 at Ensworth I believe. Since then Ensworth has dominated. The 2010 playoff game was lost in the last 1:30. Ricky out foxed Ralph that night. So if Coach Cody and BA's coaching staff comes in confident and not intimidated this will be a close game. It's the old saying "turnovers will decide this game". Something the coaches cannot control. Ensworth 28 BA 21
  16. I think this plan could work, better than what is place now.The TSSAA would like this plan too. They like the travel pain that DII schools feel. "This will teach those DII schools we mean business when it comes to taking away public school players enrolling them and then allowing them to play football." I doubt that there is a DII TSSAA representative that is sitting in their cubicle trying to come up with a different plan. Why would they?
  17. Ferby didn't play tonight. Strained calf muscle. Neither did Corn or Darkwa....but Ricky was still coaching, he finds ways to win.
  18. #1. Get a Billion dollars #2. Get the best players in the state #3. Build the best facilities anywhere around
  19. The Ensworth School is no doubt at the top of "ALL" schools in Tennessee for now. But the circle of high school football will bring them back to earth soon. People will not even discuss Ensworth In a couple of years when they go 7-3. High school football dynasties do not last forever. Ask Carlton Flatt. So...to answer the question concerning this topic...NO, Ensworth and Bowers have not killed HS football in Tn. They have set a new level to compete no matter if you are DII, 5A, 1A, 22A, east Tn, southwest Tn, Alcoa, MUS, Fulton, Maryville, Fairview, Clinton, Gibbs etc. If I was a HS football coach I would study the success Ensworth has and try to incorporate that into my team. Not be scared and jealous of their success. I would also try to schedule them. "iron sharpens iron"
  20. Dear posters...if you see a post that is similar to this.."Ensworth just better be glad (insert your team here) isnt on their schedule. BE TROUBLE TROUBLE FOR DEM ENWORTH BOYZ" PLEASE IGNORE....DON'T BE A SUCKER AND RESPOND.
